Great food and great service. We had the Caesar salad for two prepared tableside, the lobster and the filet mignon cooked tableside. All delicious. Ended with the sugar pie - YUM! Would highly recommend this establishment. Impeccable customer service.

From the moment we stepped through the door, the experience was impeccable. We shared the Cesar salad which was prepared to perfection at the table. I had the shrimp and my husband had steak au poivre, we paired that with a wonderful French wine upon the suggestion of our waiter. We left thrilled with our meal.

We ordered 2 steaks, flambé was interesting, but the sauces were quite disappointing, lack of flavors, and a bit too acidic, too much rosemary. Came here because of Anthony Boudain recommended it on his show, unfortunately the restaurant did not keep up the standard.

First, Le Continental is VERY expensive. Be prepared to spend $250 - $300 for a couple. Having said that, it was worth every penny. The food was outstanding. We shared the Chateaubriand for two. It was perfectly cooked and the sauce was amazing. This isn't something we eat often but it was worth the money and the calories. We shared the Blak Forest Cake for dessert and another winner. The service was fabulous. The servers were attentive without being intrusive. They were familiar with the wine list and the menu. It was real old fashioned service that you seldom see any more. The ambiance was also old fashioned with a lot of dark work and fabrics. This is a look that I personally enjoy but I can understand how some could find it overwhelming. Overall, I highly recommend the restaurant even with the high prices.

We were visiting Quebec City for the first time and were recommended to visit Le Continental for dinner, and we were super satisfied. Service was quick and friendly, and our food was cooked table side. We got the escargot, filet mignon, cognac prawns, and flan based on what our waiter recommended and it was all phenomenal. The bill was reasonable compared to so many other restaurants we've been to around the world. We are still talking about the food days later, particularly the filet mignon. The wine pairing was also amazing, and we will definitely be back in the future. Highly recommend a visit if you are in Quebec City!

Une cuisine raffinee, un service sur-mesure et spectaculaire a table. Des recettes traditionnelles qui font plaisir et agissent comme la madeleine de Proust. et puis les crespes suzette sont divines :-) Une excellente table

We had a good time. My favorite was the Caesar salad! It was absolutely delicious. The homemade dressing was amazing. Our table also had the salmon, lobster tail and veal tenderloins. They were good. The next best thing was the crème brûlée. The crepes Suzette were a bit too orange flavored for me. Overall, a nice dining experience.

Dennis was amazing. My wife likes her steak medium rare while I prefer well done and we watched Dennis prepare at table with flambé final touch. She was concerned that steak would be too done however both of our steaks were perfect. Great experience and great food. Amazing!!

My partner had the Filet Mignon cooked at the tableside and said it was the best she'd ever had: tender, tasty, and moist. I had the Dover Sole which was also cooked tableside and was bland and overcooked, which was very disappointing. For dessert, we had Crêpes Suzette made at the tableside. It far surpassed any version of the dish we'd had before and the flaming of the Grand Marnier was done with great panache. I realise Quebec is generally an expensive city, but this restaurant is very expensive by Quebec standards - $650 USD for 4 people.

Amazing experience with table side prep. We ordered the scallops with mustard and honey sauce and the Dover sole Meunière which was recommended by the waiter over the Filet Mignon. The scallops were delicious, the Dover sole came already prepared to the table and was dry and without any sauce. It was such a disappointment, especially since the filet mignon was such a staple of theirs. Crepes Suzette for dessert did not disappoint. The service was impeccable.

One of the better restaurants I’ve ever dined at. they score a very high rating on Tripadvisor which brought me there. Even with my high expectations this place still exceeded my expectations. Table side flambé was cool to watch and even better to taste. Food is remarkably good.

We had an absolutely amazing meal on NYE!! Service was impeccable! The filet was so tender and delicious. My husband chose the Beef Wellington for his meal and was equally pleased. Best we’ve ever had. The Crepes Suzette was a perfect ending! Oh!! I almost forgot the Caesar Salad…THE BEST!! We hope to visit again one day soon!

Anthony Bourdain was right. No one does this type of food anymore. Wonderful table side cooking. Staff are informative, attentive and highly professional. Food is fantastic as is the wine.

À part le majordome et le voiturier, qui eux étaient très professionnels, j’ai été déçue sur toute la ligne. Notre serveur n’était pas très sympathique et ça paraissait qu’il aurait préféré être ailleurs. Je lui ai demandé une description de l’entrée, Raviole farci avec ris de veau, et il m’a répondu simplement que c’était simplement un raviole farci avec des morceaux de ris de veau à côté. Pour mon plat principal, j’ai pris un Steak tartare et lorsque qu’il m’a fait goûter un échantillon je lui ai toute suite di que ça goûtait le vinaigre et qu’il y avait trop de Tabasco. Ce n’était pas trop piquant mais c’était trop vinaigré. Aussi, on se sentait pressé et il n’y avait pas assez de temps entre les services.

This is one of my favorite all time dining experiences. Restaurant Le Continental is a bustling restaurant where the staff move with a well choreographed precision yet the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. From the moment we entered the door until we left, it was a truly delightful experience. Many of the dishes are prepared table-side so it is quite a show. The quality and preparation make the meal delicious. We had a Ceasar salad followed by Chateaubriand and Crêpes Suzette. All excellent. Although it is fine dining, the atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming. Highly recommend.

The food was outstanding. We all had filet cooked table-side. High-quality beef that each of us like prepared slightly differently, and they nailed it. Wait staff was friendly and attentive to us, and there was an abundance of servers. Perhaps that was part the issue because there seemed to be some sort of drama/palpable animosity between them that made for a somewhat uncomfortable vibe.
