Géré par les chefs Walter Manzke et Margarita Manzke, le restaurant Republique vous accueille en plein cœur de Los Angeles, dans un bâtiment classique construit en 1929 et habité par Charlie Chaplin. Ces locaux ont été ensuite occupés par les emblématiques boulangerie La Brea et restaurant Campanile. Le Republique est fondé sur ce passé glorieux, offrant un environnement gastronomique empreint d'histoire et de grandeur. Un bar décontracté et un bistrot se trouvent à l'avant du restaurant. Chef Mantzke’s food still hits incredible high marks - always fresh, inventive and delicious. Amazing wine list and great service from everyone on staff. Can’t wait to be back!

We made a reservation weeks in advance we were running late due to La traffic we called and the answer was well if you run more then 15 min you may have to wait to be seated. Isn’t it our table for 1 1/2 anyway there is a way to say it like no problem we have a 8:00 hope that will be enough time for you to enjoy your evening. Anyway they use about 1 lb of butter for each guest. The cooking is very good but the richness of the food is over the top You can make food taste great without creating a heart attack. Lately feels very institutional. Like there’s no chef just a corporation sort of soulless never felt t like that before

One of the best meals I have ever had. Service was impeccable and the food was amazing. They went out of their way to make this birthday dinner one to remember.

We ordered a LOT and still wish we had ordered more. Everything just fantastic. Of course the bread, the cauliflower, the pastas, the mains. Wow!

Had a seat out on the patio which was beautiful. The mushroom amuse Bouche was wonderful. The bread and butter so simple yet perfect. The creme brulee was fun!

Only reason why I did not give five stars to the service category is because when we ordered a second cocktail, they forgot about it for a bit and we had to remind them but other than that, the service was AMAZING.

Insanely good food and really great service. I recommend sitting outside if you get a bit claustrophobic. One of the best meals I've had in LA, will be going again soon.

Even before I moved to LA ,Republique had long been one of my go to's when I visited, the building itself is a draw and once you add the excellent food, service and cocktails it is a no brainer.... you gotta go!

My wife and I have eaten here on a number of occasions and have enjoyed it each and every time. Both the food and the service were excellent. This is a great restaurant for people who enjoy great food and desserts for a modest price. Each dish is well prepared and the desserts are the product of an award winning pastry chef.

We'd been to a Wiltern show and needed to eat as the show was early and we hadn't had time for dinner. Republique is 2 miles from the Wiltern and we made a reservation with 45 mins of closing. We parked easily (Thursday night) and were seated right away. The place was still packed, but we were not rushed to order. The servers were great, and we enjoyed a fabulous full dinner - and yes - we lingered and were the last ones there but there was never any suggestion to get up and leave. They treated us like valued guests - and of course the food was a as great as you'd expect from a Manzke restaurant and the cocktails - wow - were they dangerously good. We've always enjoyed Republique and the RIP Bicyclette, Manzke and Petty Cash and this impromptu visit to the sole outpots of Manzke dining only served to help us appreciate them all the more and the high-quality food, drinks and service offered.

It was our first time dining at Republique. We were not disappointed. We received excellent service from the friendly staff. The food was out of this world and presented beautifully. Get the baguette with butter and pan drippings!!!

An LA classic, Rebublique always delivers. Such a cute place, great service and people watching. Definitely on the rich, buttery and creamy side, this isn't the place to go if you are watching your waistline. A great place to be decadent however and who doesn't need that every once and awhile?

I love the coursing and shareability of the dishes. The drinks are great and the desserts were spectacular as well. Don’t skip out on the baguette and pan drippings. They also gave us complementary potato leek soup which was amazing on its own but even more so with the baguette!

We had a great time celebrating my boyfriend’s birthday here! Great setting, beautiful interior, absolutely delicious food and incredible staff/service! Couldn’t have been a better time and we will definitely be coming back! The baguette was perfect, and our favorite was probably the kanpachi crudo - great combo of flavors. Thanks for a great time!

This place is perfection. Don’t even think about skipping on the bread and butter. Maybe the best gem lettuce salad I have ever had. The service was ridiculously good.

Great food and excellent service! Our server was very helpful and informative about the menu and wine selections. The noise was a bit loud for the dinner environment. The bar area was crowded and loud. I would definitely come back but also have different expectations for the ambiance! Good experience overall.

Amazing experience with food that is prepared with passion and delivered by a very disciplined and expert dining room staff. While there can be a bit of sticker shock it’s nothing unusual for a unique and elevated dining experience such as Republique. There are several options available for your dining atmosphere preference and the staff was very accommodating from the moment you stepped in the door. If your looking for a truly remarkable culinary adventure, look no further.
