Another typical RA Sushi. Average service and food. However, this restaurant was not clean. I won’t detail what my wife found in the women’s bathroom, table was sticky and my menu had greasy finger prints on every page. I’m giving up on this brand.

I have been to RA sushi several times!! It’s a staple when guest come in town to visit. There were not many people when we first got there but it was clear they were a bit understaffed. I’m from the service industry so I have a lot of understanding and patience and caught on quick. The hosts and greeters were so kinda and welcoming. Parker was our server and had quite a few tables. Once he got to us, he was apologetic and polite, and knowledgable about the menu, quick to get us waters and cocktail and super responsive and fun despite being very busy! The food was a 12/10 as always, and he took such good care of us! Can’t thank Parker enough!

Emily was great and super friendly! She made the experience amazing and gave us information on different food items and drinks. We felt so comfortable being there and having her as our server! She was fantastic and would definitely come again just to get her!!

Went for my birthday. Sushi and noodles were just okay. Server was great though. Energetic and friendly. I’m willing to give it another chance.

The server barely talked to us at all, never brought us utensils or share plates. She never refilled our waters. The roll I ordered specified it would come out on a hot plate but the roll and plate were cold to the touch. Our server was also very rude, walking away while I was still talking to her. 3/10 experience. The view was nice and the food was decent but the server really made me and my wife upset on our special night.

Their happy hour was really good, we got a lot of their most popular dishes for under $10. Our server was really nice and the place was clean and the food came out quick.

Terrible service. The server was not knowledgeable and not helpful. Our food came out wrong first and had to be sent back. We also never received two dishes we ordered and the server said he put the ticket it and was still going to charge us even though he never brought our food or had it made again?!?! So ridiculous. Will not return. Not worth the price for the low quality meal with a very high price, terrible service, and bad experience.

Food came it in a weird order. If you want your appetizer to come out first, do not order it with your main. Waters were never refilled. Ordered a beer and it never came. Our waiter was also a bartender which explains why we saw them twice during out meal, I don't blame them, they were working two jobs essentially. However, it seemed like the rest of the staff was either lost or new. Food was mediocre. Not worth the price in the slightest. Our server was also watching over my shoulder as I was paying/leaving a tip. In my opinion that is very unprofessional and uncomfortable for the guest. Do yourself a favor and listen to the other reviews until this place gets their act together.

Upon entering RA, we were greeted by Joshua, he was great! However, the culinary journey took a downturn as we sampled an array of dishes. The edamame and gyoza, while satisfactory, hinted at a reliance on pre-made elements, adorned with a sprinkle of fresh seasoning. My son liked the ra-men, a miracle because he a picky eater. Yet, the spicy tuna failed to live up to its name, lacking both heat and authenticity, leaving us questioning its origins. It did not look like tuna. The dragon roll, with its single bite, fell short of expectations. It failed to entice with its composition. As for the smokey salmon roll, it proved to be a culinary misstep of epic proportions. Its off-putting aroma and repulsive taste reminded me of a public garbage can—a sensation too distressing to endure beyond a single bite. I do not recommend ordering this. The after taste was worse. Despite my husband’s hunger-driven persistence with the lackluster spicy tuna, the overall experience was disappointing. Joshua understood how i felt about the 2 rolls and was able to remove them from our bill. the steep pricing compared to other sushi places with the underwhelming food, leaves RA’s potential untapped. Though the ambiance remains commendable, with its theme of black and red, one can’t help but yearn for a culinary metamorphosis that elevates RA to the ranks of its superior sushi counterparts. An overhaul to make RA an amazing spot is there. But for now, i won’t be returning, and i wouldn’t recommend this specific place. Hopefully in the future- RA can be great. Thank you Joshua.

We went in as a table for 7. We had several pretty annoying issues with our time at RA. First, our drinks took 15-20 minutes to reach our table, and all of them came at different times. We constantly needed water and never had anyone attentive enough to give it to us. Next, our food came out at completely strange and annoying times. We got our 3 appetizers within 15 minutes of each other, and the first entree came out 10 minutes before most of the others, and then the last 2 came out 30 minutes after the first one. The food was cold, the meat was overcooked, and the taste overall was not good. Even the drinks tasted off and not all that great. Our server was constantly apologizing for the delay of everything and said it was because they were busy despite most the tables being empty. They also forgot about our sides of fried rice until the end of the meal after they took away all our plates. When the bill came, the server stood staring at us with his electronic bill machine where the lowest tip percentage was 18%. The price of the food is about 50% too high for every item, and I could find 100s of places in downtown Austin that would be a better use of your time and money.

We came for a friends birthday on a Saturday night, and we overall had a good time. The service was slow and the bar was backed up, but we also had mistakes in our orders and one side of the table got their drinks 30 minutes before the other side. The food was very good, and we ended up having a great time, but the service left a little to be desired.

Take the elevator, the steps are 5 stories! Location is a bit weird. Place is a little dusty. Receptionist a tiny slow. That's why no 5 stars. However, you should go. The food was really good and reasonably priced. Our server, a young male, was very good. Attentive, personable and efficient. Nice outdoor dining patio. Would definitely go again.

Definitely more of a party place than a dining place. There were multiple bachelorette parties while we were there and too few staff for the number of tables. Our server was a nice guy but totally inattentive and too busy to serve. Parking is not easy; there is a $10 garage across the street we settled on, and food is average at best. Underwhelming and will not be back to this location; RA’s are not all run so poorly as we’ve had great experiences at both Houston locations.

I came here for my birthday dinner with friends and was slightly disappointed. Our waiter wasn’t very attentive and although I had indicated that it was a birthday dinner, we didn’t feel like the restaurant went out of the way to help us celebrate.

We went there for my birthday I’m gluten free. They let us know from the get go they were low on staff which we understood. But I think the bartender was taking our orders I had asked if they had a gluten free menu and she said no so I had to go online and see the menu when I had finally ordered and I got my food they told me my fired rice wasn’t gluten free. By the time we finally came to a understanding I was the last one to get my food everyone had already ate their food it was a little disappointing.

We came in for a 1p reservation on a Saturday. The restaurant was empty. We were told we would have a 15 minute or so wait since they had just seated 3 walk in parties and only had one server. We did ask why walk in parties were given precedence over reservations. They have their seating priorities wrong and service was abysmal. We left.

It was pretty empty when we arrived but overall as usual the food was good. Service was not the best especially considering there was almost no one in the restaurant. Drinks from the bar were ok, but not great. RA is fine for weekday sushi, don’t waste a Friday or Saturday night on them unless it’s just convenient.

We had to wait an hour before being seated and I made a reservation days in advance.

Joshua was a wonderful, friendly server and answered all of our questions. Apparently the restaurant has a service where they take your group's picture with a Polaroid camera and give you a souvenir card w/ your photo, of your evening. That was a fun touch. We have several items from the menu. I started with Edemame and the Miso soup. Delicious broth with a decent amount of tofu and green onions. I really enjoyed the BARA CHIRASHI POKE BOWL Ahi tuna, salmon, yellowtail, shrimp, cucumber and green onions mixed in poke sauce; served with grape tomatoes, avocados, edamame and seaweed salad; topped with sesame seeds. I had it on a bed of mixed greens but you can order over rice too. My friend ordered the ADULTS ONLY ROLL Smoked salmon, krab†, avocado, cream cheese and spicy mayo; topped with tobiko, spicy seaweed salad and red tempura bits; served on a flaming hot plate. All the sushi tasted fresh and delicious. If you like a sweeter, fruity Sake I recommend the Pulpy Tangerine sake, full of tangy tangerine pulp. Very unique and tasty but it is on the sweet side. They also have Hibachi plates, fried rice and more than sushi on the menu. Great place to go for a night out.

Food was delicious, service was helpful and quick. Place easy very clean and beautiful! They had an awesome valentine’s day menu as well

We were sat outside and the umbrella lighting didn’t work. So we were in the dark until the waiter noticed the section using their phone lights. Food was either brought to the table fast or a long delay.

The service was amazing and our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave great recommendations. The passion fruit margarita was delicious. The food was beautiful and it tasted amazing. The best sushi I have in Austin. I love this place!!!!

So far it’s never been disappointing, the food is always great comes out in a timely manner Staff is great we visit at least once a month and drop about $200-$230 before tip. We will be back at the end of the month again
