Brought out cornbread with zero plates for our group to place portions on. Kitchen backed up on Mother’s Day. May have poor planning issues for staff.

Honestly the brunch food was all pretty bad and cold. Not worth $25 per person esp on mothers day. Would not return for that. Open table you also need to update the address because your map just takes you to Kyle TX which is not where this is located.

We go for appetizers and drinks a couple times a month and always love the food. Thought we’d try the brunch and we’re pretty disappointed with the buffet. Everything was cold and the biscuits were cold and hard. By the time I ordered some tortillas for my migas eggs were ice cold. Would be nice if the tortillas were in a warmer by the food. Next time we will just order off the menu.

Went there for Mother’s Day. They got my order wrong so I had to wait for it to be corrected. One of us ordered a drink that wasn’t brought out. The menu didn’t adequately describe some items. It would be good to know that z sausage has cheese in it for people with dairy allergies. Overall, service was meh. I also thought the items were pricey.

It was nice to have our own room, but the noise was still really loud and distracting and the room had zero ambiance. It was just blah.

While the waitress was very nice, the overall service was poor. Got seated right away but did not get service until we asked who our waiter or waitress was. The pricey expresso martinis tasted like day old coffee. Requested salsa but never got it. Quality of food was subpar and not even hot. Burgers were to be medium but were over cooked. Overall not a great experience.

Our 1st experience here was so great. We had a reservation but they accommodated us early and for a larger party than we scheduled. Jay was our server and was truly amazing. So beyond nice and accommodating. We waited around at our table for awhile bc people in our party got caught in a storm. It was so close to closing time but Jay and the working manager graciously accommodated us and made sure our party got serviced hot food even after they closed (we took it to go). Would definitely come back (:

We were celebrating a birthday and they moved us to a better seat location given our 86 yo father. The food was disappointing, I had been to ZTejas Austin years ago and remembered much better quality and temperature. The waitress seemed to know she would get her guaranteed 20% tip since there were 7 of us, she would leave us stranded many times. Would only bring limited plates/silverware. Was just struggling. To top it off there was a slow leak from the ac dripping on me. All that said, we were glad to get in with OpenTable reservation didn't have to wait. Parking is readily available. And the food was at least avg except for a few misses.

One of two of my favorite restaurants. But I do miss the old building. Michael , awesome,my favorite waiter. He does an excellent job without going annoyingly overboard. A waiter can make or break your experience. Noise level is ok. I’m sure that is being a new Location they have to tweak things a little as they settle in over time. Food comes out in order , on time and hot. Could be a little hotter but that’s me. (Temperature). At least it’s not sitting there getting cold while you eat your salad. I wish they would open another one in Dripping Springs. Hint Hint .

I have tried this location several times and unfortunately haven’t been impressed. Food was cold & over cooked. Burger was tasteless except for the char, chicken artichoke stacker was over cooked.. seasonal vegetables were not cooked through, everything was very unseasoned. the only thing that was very good was the coconut flan- the environment was so incredibly loud. Sat as far away from the live music as possible bc we came there with new friends and it was so loud, I could not hear the persons at the table with me. Their tables are far too small. The “four top” should not be given a single table, having to shuffle plates, dishes to fit meals on the table. Our service was fine, prompt & very friendly kept our drinks refilled Wait time was reasonable for all of our items. It’s a beautiful restaurant and I love what they’re doing there but the food needs work, I might come back and try it one more time but unfortunately it will no longer be on a short list of recommended restaurants.

Always a good experience. Creative and delicious dishes and cocktails. Service is consistently friendly and efficient. Management regularly walks through to check-in. The cost of dishes and drinks is high but they don’t disappoint in flavor. Increasing portion sizes would be my only recommendation. Otherwise, a very satisfying and fun choice for a night out.

Surprisingly slow for brunch, although they had just opened. Food was incredible, service great. Music was a bit loud even after asking to turn it down. Overall a hidden gem for brunches!

Loved the lightly fried Red Snapper last time w/pesto topping. Some grilled fish good but not that filling. Example: Grilled Ruby Trout (tho love that all the fish today was just flown in fresh from the Gulf, & very tasty!). Fresh zucchini very good. Rice needed a bit more flavor & moisture. Cornbread prior, a little bland, yet moist. Should’ve offered more than 1 tiny one for 3 people. I did ask for a 2nd for us, which complied!

First time visit after dinning at the old location off 6th Street. Good food and prompt service made our dinner very enjoyable. The new building has plenty of seating and open windows around the perimeter of the restaurant. We will definitely return in the future.

Excited to try a new location in Kyle so Went for our anniversary. Food was enjoyable but the environment was much too loud to have a conversation for two. I didn’t feel like yelling at my husband for our anniversary! If we return, I would ask for an area that would be less noisy, if that is even possible. This location didn’t really remind me of the Z’Tejas in Austin either. We did get lucky with parking but otherwise I could see where parking could be a problem in this area. Overall, just an average to good experience. But Nothing that compels me to return.

Came during happy hour with a friend, it wasn’t busy yet when we got there. We ended up getting the soft tacos and some margaritas, all I could say is the food is definitely good. Of course I have had better but it filled me up pretty good, I am a rice lover and they had very good rice. The margaritas were delicious and I got buzzed off of one.

We have been enjoying Z Tejas for 30 years. We moved to Buda 8 years ago and didn't get to Austin as much as we used to. Thrilled at the new modern location. Same great service, fabulous food and beautiful decor. Happy to have a more upscale restaurant nearby!

The manager and staff were wonderful. The only “complaint” I have is that the tables could be. A little larger to comfortably hold all four of our meals, drinks and appetizer. Otherwise, you got our girls to eat and love something out of their norm. Loved it!

As a lifelong Austinite, I remember what ZTejas used to be. This isn’t it. The food we had last night was just OK and the cocktails were a little watery. The appetizer we had was pretty pathetic for the price and the ceviche my sister ordered was almost entirely tomatoes. On a more positive note, our waitress was very friendly. Disappointed overall.

Nice looking place with nice looking food. Service was slow and food ended up being cold. Both plates. Not sure if just staff issues or not but I won’t be back. Sad as I had high hopes.

The food was just okay. Too high of a price for okay food. Queso was okay, 3 Trio appetizers tasted like something you can get from a grocery store, and the red snapper was very much okay. Rice wasn’t good and the sautéed veggies were too salty.

It was ok but $20 for a chicken quesadilla is kind of expensive. Then $9 for a strawberry margarita that's only about 6oz during HH was outrageous. All in all, I spent $30 for a mediocre margarita and a bland quesadilla.

First time here! Food was AMAZING!!! The food took quite a while to come out but our server and the restaurant manager were very aware we were waiting for a good hour for our food and made sure we were taken care of!! They handled the situation so well!

We love Z-Tejas since they were located in Austin. The Kyle location is great! Their food continue been delicious! Their portions are perfect, not huge but big! Their brunch drinks and bar in general exellent! The service is very very good too! A+

It is just way too loud to enjoy each other's company in this restaurant. The food & drinks are great, but we do believe that it is slightly over priced. We want to try the brunch, but are hesitant because the ambiance is almost overwhelming.

Service was VERY slow, even for a date night where we aren’t in a rush. Food was good and the vibes were good but it took forever to be greeted, to have a drink order taken, to have our food order taken after we got an appetizer.

My favorite meal (chicken chile relleno) was wonderful as usual. This was our first time to this location. Quite noisy at 6:30 but quieted some when crowd thinned out. I was disappointed that you do not serve hot tea. Not all of us are coffee drinkers.
