    A poor copy of what was z tejas of the past. Plus you get to stare at a freeway while you eat. They forgot that sound bounces off of hard surfaces and so have a ridiculous amount of reverb.

    This was our 1st time at this location. We came in for a celebratory dinner, daughter and granddaughter, and myself. Our server Michael was amazing!!!!! He did great on making sure that I was taken care of since I have food sensitivity issues and allergies. From our delicious Texas Trio app to the salad, Ribeye Steak cooked to perfection paired with the most amazing roasted vegetables I have tried in a while. We will definitely be coming back for the live music on Saturday nights.

    There were 8 of us in our party and while I understand large groups present challenges, I was disappointed in our service. Our server was friendly though I believe he could have been more responsive. We ordered at the same time but our dishes (including appetizers) came out of the kitchen at different times, some barely lukewarm. My dish was tepid, and the rice undercooked (I had the chicken tinga relleno). Some in our group ordered alternate sides, and were served the wrong side dishes. I know they are still fairly new but they have some training and kitchen issues to work out.

    Z’Tejas and I go way back… W. 6th St. in Austin, then the Arboretum. I didn’t even know about the Kyle location until it was suggested for a small family celebration. To be brief, service was meh - not a seasoned waiter, it seemed. His timing was horrible. The unsweet tea was cloudy, but the sweet tea wasn’t. Queso - yummy. Crab Cakes - delicious. One sister didn’t like that they had cheese on top. Several items were over-the top with seasoning. The broccoli in my vegetable medley side was way too salty. The sauce on the meatloaf was extremely sweet. My nephew said the same of his fish. My sisters said the chicken fajitas were just okay. My niece seemed unimpressed with her pasta primavera. During the dinner rush, it was very loud and not conducive to conversation. All this, but I will return, if just for nostalgia sake.

    The food was delicious! Unfortunetly it was very chilly so much so that we ate and left….which was not what we had planned! When I mentioned how cold it was they wanted us to move to a table that was just as cold.

    Brought out cornbread with zero plates for our group to place portions on. Kitchen backed up on Mother’s Day. May have poor planning issues for staff.

    Honestly the brunch food was all pretty bad and cold. Not worth $25 per person esp on mothers day. Would not return for that. Open table you also need to update the address because your map just takes you to Kyle TX which is not where this is located.
