Definitely will visit again, our waiter was amazing the entire place was a great vibe. Dirty martini’s were perfect along with the coffee Martini. Would recommend

This was our first time there and it was amazing! The drinks at the bar and service was great. Our server was very professional, attentive and have wonderful selections for our appetizers and main course. We were given a gift certificate and will definitely go back. 5 star service!!

Incredible food made all the better by the cool ambiance. The cocktails were top-notch as well. Zola adds their signature touch to every plate, everything has a unique twist. I would highly recommend this place to those visiting the area, and I’ll definitely eat here again.

This restaurant is just fair among local Pal Alto restaurants. I was surprised that the ratings were so high. We had two different orders and both were marginal— the Coq Au Vin was not a true French Coq. It has a tasteless white sauce which was all coagulated together, no vegetables to speak of. The poultry was not at all good —- quite tough. We also ordered the beef cheeks bourguignon—- this was stewed in a red wine sauce and the meat was tender, but so so salty. Any meat that is that salty disguises the actual flavor of the meat. Their restaurant decor was just ok, the ambiance a little better than the food and service. There are far better restaurants in Menlo Park and Palo Alto. Experienced once but will never be going back again!

The food and attention from the staff were fantastic. It was a cold evening, and it wasn’t cozy inside the restaurant to help with that. Plus it was quite noisy as we were seated between two large parties.

2nd meal here in 2 weeks. Very consistent quality and one of favorite French bistros. Sit in Henry’s section! He’s a great server and knows the menu well!

We always enjoy the hanger steak.. This time we ordered the 45 day dry aged Rib eye.. All three of us swore it was a New York Steak. It looked like one. tasted like one and had no marbling. The owner gave me an explanation that we found hard to believe. nevertheless less if you are looking for a very marbled Ribeye.. for $72.00..this is not it.. but the hangar steak my friend had was excellent. We had asked for the bar, which is cute as a button. unfortunately we were sat in the dining room.(yes I know the not guaranteed clause.) which we all felt looked more like a sound proof room. We will wait to go back when the new side is compete. Would we recommend.. maybe..

The entire experience was wonderful: the attractive atmosphere, the greeting by the hostess, the pleasant and menu knowledgeable waitperson - Donna- the menu options and the food preparation. It was our first time at Zola and we are anxious to return.

The service was impeccable, as always. However, my experience with the beef cheek bourguignon last night was less than satisfactory. It was excessively salty, to the point where I could even detect a hint of bitterness. This was my second time ordering the beef cheek bourguignon, and it was a disappointment compared to my first experience.

We enjoyed our meal at Zola's. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable & pleasant and the sommelier had great suggestions for selecting wine to accompany the meal. The food itself was quite good and the wine pairings excellent. Finally Zola themselves as a restaurant showed graciousness and institutional memory by recalling hitches from a previous dining experience and providing an excellent sparkling wine to open our meal as a gesture of appreciation for our continued patronage. The food is good, the staff is competent and attentive, and the attitude is gracious. What is not to like? Recommended.

Food was decent, not great. I had a table outside which was a bit noisy as it's the sidewalk in PA on Bryant. Service was very good. A bit pricy.

A truly memorable night. I was celebrating my birthday with a good friend and from the moment I entered, I was treated with the utmost sincerity. It felt as if the night was (selfishly) all about me. From a lovely birthday pin, to a celebratory drink at the conclusion of our meal, the staff went above and beyond. I can’t wait to go back!

We went here for my birthday and the service was great. The drinks (cocktails) were also pretty good. However, the food we had some issues with - afterwards. I was violently sick until 4am (starting about 30 mins after leaving), and my husband felt queasy also. We had the following (all starters/small plates): - goat cheese (the best item) - bone marrow - oysters - meatballs - cheese plate - bread service - smoked rib eye Out of those the smoked rib eye is the only one we could think of that could have made us sick (as it’s almost raw). It was also the last item we had. Unfortunately the after-dinner experience ruined the evening for us - otherwise it would have been an enjoyable night.
