We made reservations and were seated promptly. The Server was very polite and did not ignore us. Our drinks (I had the Blackberry Margarita-delicious!) and food were wonderful. The place was packed, so therefore a little on the noisy side but other than that, great place to eat.

My carnitas were the best I have ever eaten, very flavorful and juicy! Although the restaurant was very busy, service was excellent and drinks/food were served promptly. On the other hand, prices are somewhat high and it is a very loud/noisy restaurant.

Excellent brunch today for Mother’s Day here at Zocalo. Great food especially the French toast and breakfast burrito. Josh was very pleasant as usual in greeting us. Waitstaff service was great as well. Top notch!!

It was busy and we hit them right after a massive surge of people but we were missing items from our meals. We ordered a guacamole for the table and it usually comes in a molecajete, today we received a fraction of guacamole on a small bread plate. I got a carnita plate that normally comes with rice, beans, curtida, and corn tortillas in a tortilla warmer. All I received was the carnitas and 3 semi warm corn tortillas wrapped in a cloth napkin. My husband ordered mole and it was supposed to come with fried plantain and he didn’t get the plantain. We had to ask for napkins and silverware even after our food arrived. Overall, not our best experience at Zocalos.

This was our first time to Zocalo. Food was amazing and tasteful. The facility was clean and decor delightful. Cost was about average for this level of restraunt. Our server was very nice and knowledgeable on the questions we had. My only complaint would be that every time I wanted my water refilled I would have to flag a waiter down. Other than that everything was amazing and will be our new Mexican restraunt of choice in Folsom. Super big plus that they use Opentable for reservations. We literally walked in and they seated us.

Zocalo has a well-trained and friendly staff who make the dining experience exceptional! The food is very good and not over-priced. We have only praise for our waitress who gave my husband a fun birthday celebration with seven people in attendance. Well done!

We usually have a wonderful experience tonight we were served our drinks after our food , my husband ordered a shot and that took over 20 minutes to arrive after my drink. Our waiter never checked in after our dinner was delivered . We had to ask another waiter to ask where the shot was and he came back to say he didn’t see it ang would go back later . We usually dine when Josh is working and he always checks in on us.

Had dinner here Saturday night with my wife and daughter. Once again, it was a wonderful experience. The staff has made dining here such a nice time. Josh greeted us when we arrived and was very nice to us as always. He is one of the main reasons we keep coming back to Zocalos. Our food was also excellent as was the service from Aidet. I would strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting very good service and food.

Had an excellent diner last night at Zocalos. Food was delicious as usual. Josh was kind enough to stop by to ask how we were doing. He is great. Our server Aidet was very good as she always is. Again, great people great food great atmosphere

Another very nice experience at Zocalos. We are regulars here and the staff is always very pleasant to us. The food was excellent tonight as I tried the Salmon bowl. Very healthy and tasty dish. Our server Jenner was attentive and accommodating. Finally another shout out to Josh for making us feel welcome on every visit 😊

I recently had the pleasure of celebrating Valentine's Day at Zocalo Restaurant, and I must say, it was an evening to remember. Despite the bustling atmosphere, which is to be expected on such a romantic occasion, the staff at Zocalo ensured that our experience was nothing short of exceptional. Upon arrival, I was pleased to see that the restaurant was busy, creating a lively and vibrant ambiance. As a result, we waited a little longer than anticipated for our table, with a slight delay of about 10 minutes. However, the manager quickly approached us, sincerely apologized for the delay, and reassured us that everything would be taken care of. This attentive gesture immediately put us at ease and set the tone for the rest of the evening. Once seated, we were promptly greeted by our server, who proved to be attentive and knowledgeable throughout the entire meal. The service was efficient, and our food arrived in a timely manner. The wide array of dishes we enjoyed showcased the culinary expertise of the kitchen staff. From the flavorful chips and salsa to the delectable appetizers, each dish was prepared with care and attention to detail. The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the arrachera, which was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. It left a lasting impression, and I cannot recommend it enough. Additionally, the cocktail selection was impressive, and the fuego eterno quickly became my favorite. Its unique blend of flavors perfectly complemented the vibrant atmosphere of the restaurant.

Great dinner, however the service fee on the check was not expected. I don't know what the fee was for, but I don't frequent restaurants that tack on service fees. I gladly tip well for good service, but I refuse to support places with unexpected fees.

This was our first trip to Zócalo, but definitely not our last. Service was great, even on a busy Valentine's day evening. We both loved the food and highly recommend Zócalo in Folsom.

Valentine special menu was overpriced and overrated. Timing on service was way off, the appetizer "Albondigas" was mealy, one salad was served, when I asked the server where the other one was he stated "the one salad is to share" I'm pretty sure it didn't say that on the menu. Didn't get a chance to share the salad since the mains were brought out 5 min later. The main course was mediocre, not bad but certainly not memorable. A shared desert was served, supposed to be a velvet red cake but was more like a cornbread dyed red with some sauce and a couple pieces of chocolate on top. The cocktails served with the Valentine menu were terrific. Kudos to the bartender.

Though I made our reservation for their special Valentines dinner the very day the special menu was announced, the hostess insisted on seating us at a noisy table in a high traffic area despite the fact my reservation request was specific so as to exclude that sort of seating. Though it was 5:30 and the restaurant was still largely empty, the hostess refused to seat us at one of the many other available 2-top tables or booths “because they will be very busy tonight”. Though the general manager was able to reseat us, the mood of the dining experience had already shifted. My wife and I made the best of it, good food.

Excellent treatment from the staff. Especially Josh. Food was very good. Service was also just right and our waiter Carlos was nice and efficient. Definitely will continue to go here at least once a week.

Food was good. Service was just okay. I asked to be moved to a smaller table/booth since several people in our reservation didn't show and she told me no because there was a reservation there. We were there for hours and no one every showed up to the booth we asked to be moved to.

Food was great, drinks were amazing Jaime the bartender made our birthday girl an amazing drink. Our waiter was so nice and attentive unfortunately I did not get his name. But honestly Dre the bar manager made our evening. He was hilarious handsome great eyebrows amazing freckles and great haircut *wink*. But all in all our experience here was so much fun!!

Very good food but it was so loud in the restaurant it was hard to have conversation and enjoy our company (Friday evening 5:45 reservation). It would be great if they just turned down the music so it was background music rather than the main event.

Some of the food was cold fish taco's were soggy and cold. The noise level was very bad you could hardly talk. Server was very good. Reservation did not work had to wait. Will not be back.
