I've walked by Zinque on the edge of Little Italy many times. Finally took a date there this weekend. Love the location because you don't have to be in the middle of the craziness in Little Italy but you can walk to that after eating if you like. The ambience is great. It's quaint, small but open to the street. The steak and frites as well as the mussels and frites were awesome and the wine selection was amazing and not over priced. Service was excellent! I discovered they do breakfast/brunch/lunch there also and it seems like a great daytime spot also. Definitely recommended! Will return!!

So glad we pivoted to Zinque instead of waiting 2.5 hours for brunch in a line for a different restaurant. Brunch at Zinque was delicious and flavorful. We had excellent service from Amina and enjoyed sitting outside on the heated patio enjoy the gorgeous albeit chilly San Diego weather.

The only hard part was trying to decide what to order. All of our selections were great. I already have a few other items to try on my next visit!

Delicious food and exceptional service! We loved the smoked salmon and tuna tartare tartine. In fact, we returned for a second meal in the same week- before heading home. Highly recommend!

The food was pretty good, the service was pretty bad, we got our food and were never check on, our steak was good but undercooked couldn’t tell anyone because no came to check on us, had to ask the hostess for a box and our check after we waited 20 minutes after finishing eating

I had such a wonderful solo lunch. This place did not disappoint. It was hard to select what to order because everything looked amazing. The food came out fast and was delicious. The staff is warm and attentive. I will absolutely be back.

Literally the best and sweetest server i’ve ever met. Maddie made the experience so much more fun and was so kind to us. The food was amazing, warm, and delicious. I love the menu and non-alcoholic drink options. The dessert was so good. My new favorite restaurant!

Hello, management! If you’re planning to be open NY day, you should expect to have above average staffing. It was a few stops short of a disaster for brunch on what was supposed to be a special outing. Luckily, we were a chill group of people and rolled with poorly prepared/presented food.

Loved our waiter (gentlemen w/ blonde Rastafarian hair) who was very attentive, kind and explained the food perfectly. We really liked the variety of food and the freshness. Cost is the cost with the increased min. wage being so high in San Diego along with rents and regulations. Be prepared for a decent bill. I didn't mind since the food was flavorful and service was great! It was a treat as we were celebrating a birthday and they even accommodated her gluten free need on that too!

Came in a group everything went smoothly, Juan is fantastic and attentive! However our waitress had an attitude and was not accommodating whatsoever so that was disappointing.

Service, ambiance, and cocktails were 10/10. The food however did not hit home, the steaks came out super well done and salty, the shareable mussels were unseasoned, and the sauce on the pasta was broken. Overall: come for drinks but dinner can be had elsewhere.

Food quality went significantly down. They re famous for skinny french fries. Didn’t have those so served us under cooked horrible fries. Everything we usually eat was jusy poorly made and burata was not burata. Not even sure what that was. No management on site. Just sad to see it from my favorite place to this today

this restaurant location hasn’t updated their hours in OVER A YEAR, constantly keep coming bc open door says it’s open and google says the same and it’s always closed. Post it on the wall at LEAST.

4 of us 4 lunch. Nothing special about the food or place. Adjacent table had Siberian Husky that periodically howled. Not a service dog. No reason to return as Little Italy restaurants close by & better.

Yesterday, we checked out Zinqué for our first time for brunch. We brought our dog, Tigger, and sat outside in the patio. We ordered the prosciutto & gruyere croissant sandwich, moules-frites, and grilled whole branzino to share. Everything we ordered was so delicious and amazing. To top it off, we had the best dining experience thanks to Sean’s fantastic service. We will definitely be back the next time we’re in San Diego. Thank you so very much, Sean!

We’ve been here numerous times but tonight our service was bad. We had to flag down our server numerous times. Our food came out too quickly and one entree came out when the rest of us were almost done eating. Mind you the restaurant was not busy at all!

It’s a very relaxed vibe in there. Food is fresh healthy. And the service was impeccable. Sean was friendly, attentive and made it a point to remember our names everytime he would come to check on us. I highly recommend, I will be back.

Great location and a variety of menu options for everyone. Thanks to the host and wait staff for a lovely first visit. Parking is a challenge though. I recommend using the valet parking one block away. Only $12. Worth it.

Great food and great service for Sunday brunch. Sat outside, heater added to warm up the table initially. Service was friendly, had great recommendations and unobtrusive. Awesome time!

The food here is excellent! I had the quinoa salad with added grilled salmon and it was so delicious. Two of us got coq au vin and they said it was outstanding. The artichoke appetizer is delicious and unique. We also had the apple tartin and berry compote for desserts and they were unbelievable! To me, it’s an expensive restaurant for the size of the portions but everything was excellent so it was worth it.

Food quality was amazing but service was slow there’s only two waiters taking care of the whole restaurant, plus the wait time between the main dish and appetizers is too long, no bread basket, just a bunch of bottles of water. For example i ordered two sides of french fries and one side of grilled veggies with my 3 branzino main course, we only got one french fries at the very beginning then 25-30 minutes later comes the fish, and the other two sides were not served. When you see a waiter, wearing a bunch of hats and serving the whole place, where you have to wait for him to ask for things you’ll just give up and call it a day This place has great potential investing in more labor is Key
