We ordered the following and all was delicious: Bruschetta, Lobster Ravioli, Shrimp Scampi, Chicken Parmesan and Pepperoni Pizza. The employees were friendly, courteous and knowledgeable.

Food was alright but the service was horrible. Arrived with a reservation for a table inside for 2 people and was told we would have a lengthy wait or we could sit outside. It was a bit chilly and windy, but nothing too crazy so we opted to sit out on the ‘patio’. Not sure having a reservation means much here, I wasn’t even asked my name. It took 15 minutes just to get water and for our server to come to our table. That should have been my first cue to leave but noticed it was quite busy and wanted to be understanding. The service from our waiter did not get any better. We ordered the Arancini to start. This came out quickly and was delicious. My husband ordered the bolognese and I had the chicken Parmesan. Note here that the menu online does not match the restaurant menu. The items differ slightly. My dish came out with the pasta undercooked. Our waiter opted to give me a bit of a lesson saying that real Italian food has al dente pasta, which I know.. but when your fork can’t go through it, that’s not quite al dente, it needed a bit longer. My meal was taken back while my husband finished his dinner. Our server did not seem to care about this inconvenience. The bolognese was alright, the chicken parm was meh. In my opinion, there is nothing special here that made this restaurant stand out. Luis, the kind gentleman who was in charge of keeping our water refilled and our table clear, at least showed some care and attention. He was the only person we interacted with who was kind and friendly or that we saw on a regular basis. He made the effort to make things right even though it really wasn’t on him. The lack of service and mediocre food would make me choose someplace else. This place is disorganized. Being one of the more popular places on Mulberry, I expected better. Overall, there are far better options in NYC. I wouldn’t waste my time here again.

Incredible food. Took my mom here for her birthday(and first time in NYC) this past Friday night(4/19/24). Staff was helpful, food was incredible. Have I mentioned the good was incredible?

The linguine with clams had little flavor. Overall, all our pasta dishes were bland and basic…nothing exciting. The veal piccata and chicken Zia Maria dishes were good. It’s really sad when these places in little Italy are like this, seems just uninspired and tired.

What a special spot in Little Italy! So glad I found this place and would highly recommend. The decor is modern chic design with a trendy edge. The food was fantastic! Service was great and we felt like family.

The restaurant seems to be lacking heating, we were there for over 2 hrs and had a horrible experience because it was so cold. My feet were hurting, that’s how cold it was. Staff apologized, they tried their best but it was just so cold, everyone else was eating with their winter jackets on, so it wasn’t just me being freezing cold. Staff was friendly and tried their best.

Came here as a party of 10 for my daughters's birthday. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was outstanding. We had a great time. Staff were fantastic!

Food and service was amazing! The restaurant was a bit small and the table where we were seated was very close to the door (very cold outside, so not ideal for the winter time), but overall a great experience and shrimp scampi with pappardelle to die for!

Maybe an off night for them as it was busy and so I’m very understanding. Prior to ordering I let our server know my sister has an allergy to certain seafoods. I asked if they were able to accommodate that and his response was that they can. This is a process I’m very familiar with. We placed our order and I asked him again about the food preparation because something in me felt like he was unsure. His response was uncertain about the foods prep. He went back into the kitchen to ask and we were informed that the food was cooked in the same oil as the fish. I asked him to take the food back and told him we wanted to wrap things up. We waited some time to get our seats and we were understanding but what we didn’t anticipate was the wait after the incident. We waited so long for him to come back. We had not eaten and at that point just wanted to leave. Some of the staff was welcoming and some of the staff were incredibly rude. I’m from here and have never experienced anything like that. It was a special occasion for my little sister and we left pretty sad. Our favorite spot is actually right next door and the service is always amazing.

Even reportedly 'good' restaurants (according to Google) have off nights. We experienced that on Dec 12. Because there was no 'host/hostess' (wait staff were serving and seating guests), service was disjointed - from the wait to being seated, to the wait for a drink order and then receiving drinks - including a common martini that the server misheard so that the first drink was unrecognizable. Once the evening rush was over, our server did his best to make up for the earlier failures by providing a complimentary after dinner drink. Also, we were seated by the door on a cold night so guests were entering, leaving the door open and several other guests loudly complained to 'please close the door'. Re: the food - stale bread was served at the outset. The Spinach Caesar as remarked by my guest was 'bitter'. The brightest spots are the house-made pastas which were delicious...

We had reservations for last night for 7:30. They had over extended themselves and took on too many reservations it seemed like they were running on very high anxiety. There were several customers waiting outside well over 30 min past their reservation times waiting to be seated. We were seated outside and they brought us bread and waters. When the server arrived at our table we had to ask for menus. I asked for a dessert menu when I noticed there weren’t any on the menu. My friends were going to order a few bottles of wine and desserts. The server threw a fit that we weren’t ordering dinner because “this is a restaurant,” and told us we needed to leave.

We (party of 4) got seated within a few minutes of arriving for our reservation. We booked for a late Saturday afternoon dinner. The place was packed, but we didn't feel crowded. We ordered our drinks, app, and meals at the same time, as it took time for the waiter to make his way towards our table. App (Arancini) came out nearly at the same time as the drinks. App was amazing. My drink (Zia Maria Old Fashioned) was good too. Meals took a bit longer to come out, but that was fine. We ordered the lasagna, alfredo, cheese ravioli, and chicken marsala. I had the lasagna, but attempted to try everyone else's meal too. The alfredo was my favorite, followed by the marsala. Ravioli was devoured before I could try any. The lasagna was good, but not amazing. After dinner, they gave us a complimentary dessert plate (cheesecake & 2 scoops of ice cream) for my daughter's birthday. Overall, the food and drinks were good. I would have liked another drink, but never was offered or had the chance to order a second round. I'm not going to think less of this place, as it was peak dinner time on a beautiful, warm day in the city, so everything was packed. I'd definitely visit this place again.

The only concern was the owner or something got a little feisty when we first got there because I was a last minute reservation for 10 people. Our reservation had canceled an hour earlier and it was available on open table...if it wasn't available..update the app then. I booked as soon as I could and it was 45 mins to an hour prior not 10 mins. Other than that, everyone was happy with the service and the food. Best Espresso martini I've ever had!

We were recommended Zia Maria by someone I know through Twitter who is a New Yorker and wanted to visit somewhere nice while we were visiting. It did not disappoint. The food was lovely and one of the best lasagnas I have ever had, and my partner has the special ravioli which was equally as nice by all accounts. I would recommend Zia Maria to anyone in New York, visiting or a local for authentic Italian food and feel. If Aly Vallecillo makes a booking, make sure she gets a free glass of wine or something as a thank you for her recommendation to you

Had a good dinner at Zia Maria Little Italy. The service was great and the ambience is quite festive. Had excellent antipasto of Caesar Salad, Caprese, Baked Clams, and Fried Calamari. The clams in the Linguini Vongole were great, but the dish was quite watery and the linguini was not picking up the clam flavor. Also ordered a Veal Parmesan which was pounded too thin, and the meat became quite stiff and tasteless. Still a good meal overall, and the restaurant provided a great venue to dine with family.

Nightmare when we arrived. Wine was bad-like spoiled. Service was awful. Crammed in the back. So bad the waitress couldn’t reach the table next to me. So packed in like sardines that the table next to us got up and knocked over and broke- olive oil bottle. Will never ever ever even think about coming here again
