This is an amazing gem of a place. The staff was outstanding. A visit to our table by the chef - always a nice touch. The ambiance of the old pharmacy was truly unique. Everything we tried from the Brioche to the crab/avocado salad to the ribeye were perfect. Excited to go back there again soon. I did give it a high "value" score, understanding "value" doesn't necessarily mean "cheap".

The space is beautiful, the owner was welcoming, Genesis, our server, was knowledgeable and a joy. The Brie in phyllo was a light, tasty starter and the filet mingon with garlic mash was amazing! My daughter's sesame crusted tuna was so good she refused to share, LOL! There was also another older gentleman server (can't remember his name) who was sweet and friendly, not something you would expect, but certainly enjoyable to talk to. All in all, we would not only recommend York St, I would make the 2 hour drive again to visit again. Except this time, I want to sit by the giant dog! Thanks for a great evening!

My wife and I had dinner with our daughter and granddaughter before attending the theater. Starters included the Brie cheese wrapped in puffed pastry with berries and honey. Also got the dirty hummus. Dinner included a NY strip, my wife had the cheese burger. All was delicious. Our server, Phoenix was great.

Order NY strip steak and they were overly salty and tons of fat in the cuts. For $45 expected much better.

We have been to York Street Cafe for dinner several times, but never went there for brunch. I would highly recommend it. Food was very good and price was appropriate. The presentation of the food was very attractive (got the brunch board). I really like the ambiance of this place.

The food and service was excellent. We had the dirty Hummus and Brie Phyllis Crisp and Fruit as starters. Wow. Great. There were 5 of us and we each had something different as the main course. We all said we loved our meals and would be back again. The Maple Chili Glazed Half chicken I had was tender and so tasty with the orzo and asparagus. All is "Farm to Table". We all recommend York Street Cafe.

Billy and his energetic and friendly York Street staff at this historic building and former pharmacy made our night out so perfect. From making a closer entrance available for my disabled spouse to highlighting the menu, York Street went above and beyond. The filet and vegetarian selection were delicious-thanks for an enjoyable evening!

York St. is definitely in our top 3. The food is delicious and never disappoints. The service is excellent and we love the people there. The ambience of the place is charming and consistent. Seems somehow to be a best kept secret but we strongly recommend you try it!

Everything was wonderful except the wingback chair I sat in had very little bottom support. It needs to be repaired or replaced. As a shorter person it was very uncomfortable. The food was excellent!! I miss the port tenderloin from the past though!!

Absolutely an amazing experience! I booked here for prom night and was sat as the cutesiest little table in the world. The staff was extremely pleasant and friendly and the food was fantastic. Definitely coming back again soon!

This was for a birthday. I got a call from the restaurant several hours before our reservation asking if there was anything special they could do. I thought this was charming and above my expectations. While we didn't need anything out of the ordinary it was a nice touch. The food was outstanding, the service appropriate -the only gripe I have at all Is that some of the tables have soft living room style chairs that sit too low for comfortable dining. I had to ask to be seated, But once at a more comfortable table had a marvelous experience.

We went for the first time last night to celebrate a birthday and this place is a GEM y'all! Billy, Bobby and the team did an amazing job. It started with a sweet call to ask a few questions on how to make the dinner special for the birthday person, we showed up to a signed card from the staff and a gorgeous window table. Billy was super kind and introduced us to our server. Bobby was able to make wonderful recommendations, and the food was amazing. I loved my April Flowers cocktail (s), and my hubby was able to get a good wine based on recommendations. The dirty hummus was so good, and our steaks were great. The overall price was great value, and I can't wait to go back. 12 out of 10 stars!

York Street used to be one of my favorite restaurants. I hadn’t been in many years and was excited for the meal. It was for brunch on Easter Sunday. The brunch menu online looked great. However, when I called to make an adjustment to our reservation I was told that the Easter brunch was a buffet but that everything on the brunch menu and more would be available. I was ok with that. Once we arrived, we realized that it was actually a very basic brunch offering. Nothing was hot, and it seemed that many items had been sitting out for a while. I hope the experience was sub par just because it was a buffet.

We picked this off of open table. One reason was because they had multiple vegetarian options for myself, as far as non-vegetarian options for my husband. We are relocating to Cincinnati and we wanted to go out and have dinner after house hunting. I got a call from the owner himself confirming my reservation and asking if we had any dietary restrictions or allergies. I mentioned why we were in town. While we were having dinner he came up to our table and introduced himself and handed me a paper with a list of suggestions for places to hangout and things to do so that we could check them out when we move up. Talk about going above and beyond. I was just blown away and thought that was the sweetest, kindest thing. The service was absolutely excellent, the food was delicious & the ambience is so cool. It was just all in all a very wonderful evening. Exactly what we were looking for.

We planned to have dinner with our grown children the Saturday before Easter so we made our reservations for dinner well in advance. On the day of our dinner, I received a phone call from the manager. He wanted to let me know that they were looking forward to meeting us and asked if there was a special occasion we were celebrating. He then asked if anyone had allergies or dietary restrictions. Wow! After arriving to the restaurant, the manager came to our table to introduce himself. The waitress was great and helped us to decide appetizers, drinks and entrees. Everything was delicious. My husband had the lamb, I had a salad, our son had the catch of the day. We also had the hummus and the crab dip. Fabulous meal, great service and ambiance!

What a hidden gem this restaurant is! Great ambience, food, and service! You have to get the bread basket, if you’re looking for a starter. The desserts are homemade and off the charts. We really enjoyed our dinner and we will definitely be back. 😊

We both ordered the 10oz New York Strip- my medium rare was cooked perfectly!! And definitely a high quality cut of meat. A great date night spot or place to take family. Highly recommend!

Beautiful dining room, cozy and comfy feels like a hug. Our server was attentive, kind and caring. Best cheeseburger in town made to order perfectly. We plan to come back for a larger more formal dinner sometime. It's great you can pop into this place for something simple, or lounge through a leisurely long, special occasion dinner. They cater to everyone. York Street aims to please and is well worth the effort to find parking. We'd recommend Uber so that's not a thing and will not spoil the fabulous experience of dinner at York Street. Check this place out, you won't regret it.

We had a reservation and our table was ready promptly. When we sat down the table lamp stopped working. It was dark, I could not see the menu. The server said we can use a flashlight. Seriously, this was what they said. He messed with the light for like 5 minutes, then told me that this light has been a problem for awhile. That's a problem right there. So, this is an ongoing problem and it has not been resolved. Ok, I'm out of here I told the server. We left. I will not attempt to eat here in the future.

Hi RobM. I'd like to address your inaccurate and incomplete review. You arrived 60 mins before reservation on a fully-booked Saturday night. You were offered drinks while you waited, which you refused. We moved things around to seat you 30 mins early at the only table available, where a small lamp burnt out as you sat down. Admittedly, you shouldn't have been asked to use your phone. That's embarrassing & not emblematic of our service. But our dining room is beautifully decorated & has 3 chandeliers for lighting (worth far more than 1 *); our service was proactive, seating you 30 mins early (worth far more than 1 *); you left before ordering any of the food (in fact, you left before you were even scheduled to arrive). You're out here trying to hurt small businesses, and that's unfair.

Food flavor was ok, but lamb was way overdone. Waitress never stopped by to see how the food came out. The ambiance is very nice, but this is the second time we've tried this restaurant and we won't be back.
