Our first time (and last time) at York Street. The people were very friendly and the service good. But the menu is very limited and the quality of the food only marginal. I requested a non-alcoholic beer - all they had was a sugary ginger beer. The ambiance is interesting, a former pharmacy from the last century, but it appears tired as did the seating. The entry is a challenge making it difficult to open the door for someone. Everything considered, including the pricy menu, we would never go back.

This restaurant is a great experience. The staff are superb. We are from out of town and our server shared wonderful short stories s as she served and checked on us. The food was very good. For me, a bit more more flavor added to the kebab world have been nicer. However the sauce they served it with was excellent. The drinks were very good - wonderful place for cocktails. My partners steak was very good as well. The estimate has a crazy but in a good way, ambience. It was a pharmacy in its part and there are cool references to that on the decor. I recommend this restaurant and hope others find it.

This restaurant was a breath of fresh air! It is in what was once a pharmacy, and all the original wooden shelves and counters have been lovingly restored to give the restaurant a warm cozy feel. Food is made from scratch and made to order and was wonderful!!! Our server was new and a bit inexperienced, but she was attentive and friendly and working hard! Would definitely return!!

This is an amazing gem of a place. The staff was outstanding. A visit to our table by the chef - always a nice touch. The ambiance of the old pharmacy was truly unique. Everything we tried from the Brioche to the crab/avocado salad to the ribeye were perfect. Excited to go back there again soon. I did give it a high "value" score, understanding "value" doesn't necessarily mean "cheap".

Mother’s Day brunch was horrible. I don’t even know where to start…. The fruit was in bowls that looked like they came from the dollar tree, the chafing dishes were dirty, the food was cold- which I’m not sure how that is possible bc the tops to the chafing dishes were all on them and it was impossible to open them and serve your own food all while balancing a plate. The service was slow at best, the mimosa was complimentary but it was 95% orange juice, so wasn’t much of a positive. For $40 per person, I was expecting much more. The food selection was not great nor was it tasty. The children’s price was $25 and I think my son had a piece of bacon and a some fruit. Not worth it in any regard, would not recommend- which is unfortunate bc I’ve had dinner here before and it was great. Big disappointment.

The space is beautiful, the owner was welcoming, Genesis, our server, was knowledgeable and a joy. The Brie in phyllo was a light, tasty starter and the filet mingon with garlic mash was amazing! My daughter's sesame crusted tuna was so good she refused to share, LOL! There was also another older gentleman server (can't remember his name) who was sweet and friendly, not something you would expect, but certainly enjoyable to talk to. All in all, we would not only recommend York St, I would make the 2 hour drive again to visit again. Except this time, I want to sit by the giant dog! Thanks for a great evening!
