Yohei Sushi Restaurant was born by artisan chef Obara in 1990 and is still beloved by the Hawaiian community.
The second restaurant, "Yohei Sushi KAHALA,"opened in January 2024.
We offer a sushi-centric OMAKASE course, featuring fresh ingredients sourced from Hawaii and imported directly from Japan.
In Japanese cuisine, the flavor of "ichiban-dashi" (the golden soup stock!) holds great significance.
Immerse yourself in unique OMAKASE courses that begins with tasting "ichiban-dashi," and new dishes inspired by Hawaiian food culture.

This was a popular main dining hall only course at the time of opening! The chef has updated the menu to make it a regular menu with delicious seasonal ingredients. This course is a reflection of our restaurant's desire to make people happy through sushi. Enjoy Nigiri Sushi along with appetizers, salads, and tempura made with fresh vegetables, with a focus on locally grown ingredients. If there are children in your group or if you do not like raw fish, we will do our best to accommodate by asking what they can eat.
