Will not return due to the noise level and the slow service. Food was ok but there are far superior restaurants in the neighborhood.

The interior is too packed in. The tables are too close to each other, making it hard to maneuver your chairs to either sit down or get up. The place is not sound proof, so it made it very difficult to hear people at your table and the servers when they came to talk to you. The service was great. My girlfriend clearly didn’t eat her entree because she didn’t like it and even though she didn’t complain, the server picked up on it and gave her a dessert on the house. The food was okay. The best things we are were the calamari and octopus appetizers. The fries were way too salty and the falafel was bland and disappointing. The moussaka was good. My mother had a lamb burger that she liked. My father enjoyed his chicken souvlaki platter, but was disappointed that lamb souvlaki was not on the menu. We probably wouldn’t come back.

Overall, Yasouvlaki is very enjoyable. Food is excellent. Service is a bit spotty but OK. Dinner is a better experience than lunchtime because uniformed private school girls descend, order high priced lunches and engage in a lot of drama…..they sit at tables and turn on their mobile phones; their shouting, tears, & brief departures ensue until the crisis passes and they return to their respective tables, have a bite or two of lunch, seemingly divide the bill, and throw cash on the table. As a retired NYC public school teacher, mother of sons and a grandmother, it upsets & discourages me to witness such disturbance in these young women’s lives. I recommend having quiet & civilized dinners @ Yasouvlaki…you will not be disappointed. 🤩👍

Excellent and inexpensive pita sandwiches in many varieties — chicken kebab, gyro, salmon, shrimp, beef. Wide variety of salads and other items though more expensive.

We had the swordfish souvlaki and the shrimp souvlaki platters and they were, as always, excellent. Very tasty! The staff are very friendly too
