Me and my family dined here last night for Mother’s Day. Great atmosphere, great customer service, Some of my family ordered Very berry Lemon drops and everyone was beyond happy with how great they tasted. They had a total of 6 Lemon Drops however once our bill came they were totally caught off guard that those 6 drink cost them $150 lol but besides that they loved their drinks. Now on to the food in my honest opinion it was okay. It wasn’t the greatest however it wasn’t the worst. I will say that we had a 8:30pm reservation and I didn’t realize until last night that they closed at 9pm so I dropped the ball With that because I feel like maybe the food was kind of not prepared with as much Love since it was so close to closing time. But on the flip side our waiter Bertin, I believe that was him name was great he didn’t rush us or make us feel pressured into looking over the menu quickly he also continuously checked on us and did so every time with a smile on his face. I plan to visit again at an earlier time and hopefully next time around I can leave a review saying how amazing the food was lol.

I went for brunch service. I had deviled eggs as my appetizer, chicken and waffles for entree and raspberry bread pudding for dessert. I also had biscuits and a shared mac and cheese, as well as a mimosa to drink. The deviled eggs were delicious. When my chicken and waffles came out, the chicken was piping hot, but the waffles were cold and I had to wait for more. The chicken and waffles also came with watermelon on the plate, which I found to be a bit curious. As for the taste, waffles were good, nothing special. The chicken was also just okay, as it was under seasoned. I didn't care for the warm watermelon at all. The portion was very good, though. The biscuit was surprisingly good and the apple jam (I think) was super yummy. That raspberry bread pudding was a super small serving and a bit dry and not the most flavorful. It was alright at best. The mac and cheese was mediocre and could have used more (or some) seasoning. For the price, the porrion was very small as well.

Stepping into Yardbird felt like stumbling upon a hidden culinary gem, and little did we know it would become our anniversary tradition, three times in a row! From the moment we walked in, Bertin, our server, became more than just a waiter; he became a friend guiding us through each delightful dish with warmth and expertise. What amazed us most was Bertin's knack for remembering our orders, making us feel like VIPs every time we returned. And the surprises didn’t end there—champagne on the house and mouthwatering desserts appeared as if by magic to celebrate our special day. Meeting Izzie, the manager, and Leo, the creative genius behind the flavors, added a personal touch to our visits. Their genuine warmth and passion for their craft made us feel like honored guests, not just diners. But what truly made Yardbird feel like home was the genuine friendliness of the entire staff. Each visit felt like catching up with old friends, as they welcomed us back with open arms and big smiles. After visiting the Dallas Yardbird location, we decided to try the Chicago offering. We were warmly greeted by the host stand and they quickly accommodated our party including a 4 year old. We had the OG chicken sandwich, truffle fries, grilled chicken Caesar, Wedge salad, and the tenders. All were delicious along with great sauces. Dylan waited on us and we had wonderful service. The drinks were also very good . The restaurant’s interior is beautiful and clean. It was very quiet on a Friday for lunch, but I’d imagine it is more lively for brunch on the weekend. We will certainly return.

Amazing service. Great view. We were on the second floor. Food was good, just not great. Desert was delicious and huge. Again the service is top notch.

Seriously loud environment made conversation nearly impossible. Perhaps the tables are too close together combined with poor acoustics which made for an uncomfortable experience. We enjoy their fried chicken but from now on we will probably carry out from Yardbird on Wabash.

Excellent food and service! It was my 4th visit and the 1st for my parents, who were very happy with lunch, the atmosphere, and are looking forward to coming back again!

This was my second experience at YardBird and as usual , everything was great, up until I bit into a long sharp piece of metal in my rotisserie chicken! I ordered 3 different sides as well as an appetizer to try more things on the menu so I had to get my food boxed to bring home for left overs.. when I went to warm them for lunch, i gagged on what appeared to be part of the metal that’d broken off into my bird. Tried contacting management, but no one bothered to return my calls… i would still recommend this location but I’m kind of traumatized at this point

Like my child said, $36 for 6 pieces of more bone than meat rib was really expensive. I also did not appreciate the restaurant adding their own 20% tip for a 3-person party without consulting the customer. I get you add tips for larger parties but for 3person party was completely overstepping!! Do better!!

The service was excellent from the hostesses to our excellent waiter named Ty! It was busy, but he managed to still be very attentive and deliver all food items to the table while they were still hot and delicious! The favorite food item at our table was the lemon meringue pancakes which were huge and enough for the entire table to have a taste. Next was the chicken and waffles and the cinnamon rolls! Everyone enjoyed their food and beverages!

The ambiance was nice. There was plenty of room between the tables. The floors and tables were clean. The waiter was pleasant and professional. The fried chicken was just ok. The braised short ribs were delicious. I went there for dinner.

The drinks were delicious, the food was outstanding, and the service was great. Our waiter Johnny was patient, he kept up with our drinks, didn't rush us eating, and one of the managers, Emily, came to our table, introduced herself, asked about our meal and brought us some delucious chocolates. This was our 2nd visit to the Chicago Yardbird. We have also been to Yardbird Las Vegas. Easter dinner was a success!

After reading all the stellar reviews on the OpenTable app we went for Brunch on Easter and ordered the eggs Benedict and shrimp and grits. Food lacked salt, flavor and was cold in temperature. We ordered the shrimp and grits because the waiter said “Our shrimp and grits are what we’re known for! They’re award-winning!” Only to be WILDLY disappointed by the total lack of flavor and extremely small portion size. The grits were about the size of an ice cream scoop and there were 4 large shrimp….for nearly $30. The Eggs Benedict came with 2 bricks of hash browns that tasted like nothing sprinkled with nothing. These were also very cold. There were no parts of the meal my partner and I could truly say we enjoyed. Furthermore, we were given an Easter egg upon arrival that contained a card that stated “Complimentary dessert… valid through April 28”. We tried to redeem it but we were told it’s only valid upon our NEXT visit. GREAT -_- . Our waiter was lack luster and we had to awkwardly request a table change 3xs after the host repeatedly chose seating options that were exactly the opposite of my request (not by the front door because it’s cold). This place looks good on Instagram but certainly not worth the $100 visit.

Tried Yardbird in Vegas and were impressed by the GF options, food and service — didn’t even know it was close to home so we went as soon as we could. Food was excellent again, but service was surprisingly awful. He ended up comping dessert after his many mistakes, (key lime pie is very good) to make up for it, and we will return because the food is worth it.

We were not disappointed. Our server Rudy and the food was amazing. We shared the chicken and waffle entree. It’s enough to feed 3 grown men! The chicken was cooked perfectly!!! The hot sauce was not as good as the Miami location. The Mac and cheese was good, but would be better in my opinion, if it was made with elbow noodle. You can’t go wrong with the corn bread. The atmosphere at 530 was fun and perfect for any occasion. We love this place and can’t wait to visit again.
