YAO pays culinary homage to the vibrant Yaowarat neighborhood in Bangkok, an ancient Thai-Chinese community.

As you can imagine, the neighborhood is a paradise for food lovers because this cultural blending has created some of the most delicious eats on Earth. Spicy, crunchy, tangy and delectable dishes are handed down over many generations.

We created this restaurant to have the look, feel and tastes of Yaowarat, and we cant wait to share our food with you! Once more, we welcome you and yours to YAO.

My family and I went to YAO for Mother’s Day and were disappointed. The food is decent but portions are on the small side and definitely not worth the price. But what we really didn’t appreciate is the 18% gratuity added automatically, but we were still handed the card machine with the prompt to select either a 18, 20, or 25%. It was like they were trying to get you to fall for tipping twice and we didn’t appreciate it. We would not return.

A good spot to go to on a date night. The live music was good. The service was ok, not bad but not great. The drinks were good. I would go back for the music and drinks but I probably won’t eat.

The main reason we went here was to experience the massage as we eat and there was no one giving out massages. We also wanted live music which started when it was time for us to leave. The food was pricey and mediocre. The garlic chicken and spring rolls were amazing. I do not recommend the lamb chops however the garlic rice that came with it was really good. Overall it was ok, something new, but definitely disappointed and will not be back.

The service here is excellent. Our server was attentive without being intrusive. The entire staff worked together to create a positive dining experience. The food choices were good. The ambiance of this restaurant is simply fantastic! The cozy atmosphere, soft lighting, and elegant decor create the perfect setting for any special occasion.”

Nice ambiance! Live music with a complimentary massage is always a plus! Definitely a place to take a date or have night out with the girlies. Drinks were ok. Food was delicious though definitely try the salt and pepper shrimp it will not disappoint!

We have eaten at Yao several times in the past. The drinks are amazing and creative. It's nice that they have added the live music, it was loud but the artists were skilled and we enjoyed it. The service was very poor. Our entrees came 12 minutes apart, so when you are having and date night and want to dine together, it's really not acceptable to be served entrees 12 minutes apart. Our server was nowhere to be found. While the food in the past was good, this time my garlic chicken was dry and my husband's chicken leg was inedible. The sauce on his was still good but it was unacceptable. We were never offered a second drink while we waited quite some time for our food. We will not go back.

This restaurant was awesome!! Definitely a different taste. The Curry Duck was excellent in the parang sauce. The Crab Wontons were a crispy delight and the lemon cream cake was smooth & creamy. The mussels were very tasty. The establishment is accessible♿️ complete with a ramp in front that leads to an elevator where the parking garage is. I am Definitely going back to indulge in the LIVE Music they have on Friday & Saturday nights 8pm.

Th ambience and live music was really nice. And the shoulder massage after dinner was great. But unfortunately the food did not deliver at all. I got the Khao Suy and my cousin got the Duck Panang curry. Both dishes tasted like they came right out of the microwave and were not well seasoned. I would come back to this place for drinks but I won’t be eating here again.

My friends and I enjoyed the experience but the live music was overkill. For the size of the restaurant the drums drowned out the singer and people talking. At points we had to lean into each other not to yell or hear the waitor. Food was great and so were the drinks!

The last time I came here, my family and I had a wonderful experience. I cannot say the same for this most recent reservation. The manager/owner overbooked the restaurant and left all larger parties to sit at tiny cafe-sized tables and thought that would be appropriate and considerate for her patrons. These tables couldn’t even comfortable fit full appetizers, drinks, and entrees for a couple of 2! Nonetheless a family of 4 trying to dine altogether. Extremely disappointing, we left after 20 mins. The food this time around also wasn’t fresh, mussels tastes old and calamari wasn’t tender. They also auto tip 15%, which is ridiculous considering we were there for 20 minutes at a max and only ordered drinks/apps.

Appetizers were good. Music was good. Entrees were disappointing. service was sparse with an automatic gratuity for parties of 1-5. It took 35 minutes to get a slice of cake.

It was my second time there. Our server, Eric What? was amazing. The food tasted great as usual, and they even had live music and complimentary massages at the table. Overall a great time was had and I would recommend this spot to anyone.

This was the second time visiting Yao. The biggest let down was I informed and requested a good table since it was our 15 year wedding anniversary. That request felt like it was never even received. We got placed against a wall and next to the bar. The massage therapist gave the table that was literally an arm length away from us massages but never even asked if we wanted one that was just very disappointing. The food was pretty good but not as good as our first visit about a month before this visit. The service was great our server was great and earned the 18% tip that is automatically added to your check. Yes! That’s right a party of two is already allocated a 18% tip. This is a practice that has come to Atlanta and metro Atlanta a few years ago and is detested by residents. We have made the tough decision to never return for the lack of attention to detail and the required tip.

I absolutely loved my experience at Yao! In fact we loved it so much we went on Friday night and then again on Saturday! The live band was amazing!

Before going I looked on website for menu and was excited. When we got there, most of food was not on menue. Waiter said online items were not available because it was forever old. Also food is way overpriced… Lighting was awful. We will not be going there again.

If you place an order and change your mind before it comes out or they bring it before they place it on the table they will not take it back also they don't educate you on portions so you may order too much and their prices are quite expensive. Food n drinks are good just be careful not to walk out with a $800 tab for 3 kids under 10 and 2 adults

Pao was my server and he was super nice! There was live music it was so good! I had both of the old fashions they were great. The food I don’t think was worth the price. It was ok my snapper was over cooked and my crab fried rice came cold. Nice vibe and environment

The vibe on Saturday night with the live music is amazing. Great spot for date night. The bar area is very small and no room to stand. The food was okay but the live music and table side massage make up for it. Service was good and drinks seemed a bit pricey. They add 20% gratitudes to your bill.

Nice atmosphere and can be a great date night venue. Food was just okay and service for the drinks were very slow. Great live R&B band. Waiter did whatever he could to help. Nice touch with girls going around giving shoulders and neck massage. Don't let the already included gratuity catch you. The charge card modem will show up front various levels of additional gratuity!

Me and my friends had an amazing time for my birthday dinner. We loved the live music. The food was really good considering the prices are not super expensive. loved the drinks. our Server Kiki (I hope i not wrong with the name) He was fantastic and very nice, and we enjoyed the complimentary massages. thank you.

Service was very good. Was expecting live music and the massage experience. Website should mention that only available on certain days and times. My reservation was for 5:30 Saturday and afterwards waiter let us know that would not being until 8:30pm. Only available on select days. We would have made our reservations for later that evening to make our evening more enjoyable.

I’m definitely giving this place a 10/10. I surprised my boyfriend with a date night here and I couldn’t have selected a better place. Everything was top tier. He’s a professional Chef so I was nervous of him trying the food. He love it. He cleaned his plate. Our massages was amazing and the live band was phenomenal. Definitely would recommend. We’ll be back for sure!

For the amount of money I paid, I expected the food I never got offered a massage. The drinks were too expensive. The calamari tasted as if it had been sitting out for a while. Nothing tasted as if it was fresh there wasn’t much crab meat in my fried crab rice

The ambiance is nice. I went during the live music & it’s hard to have a conversation over dinner, but the singer was really good. Food & drinks were fine.

The salmon could have been seasoned a lot more. The service was a little less than expected. Delivery of the food was fast. The bartender seemed overwhelmed.
