The good was amazing, the decor is gorgeous, our wait staff were knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Love love love it!

Yamas truly gives you the Greece experience, along with amazing authentic Greek food. Our server Cohen was very helpful with recommendations and explaining the dishes. Highly recommended!!!

Pretty interior, but the food and service were very average. Tuna tartare and soup were tasteless. Too many birthday “fireworks” made the restaurant smell like burnt chemicals. Ridiculous number of birthday celebrations… hard to believe every table had a birthday at it. Had much better Greek food elsewhere. Don’t bother

We were there on the evening of Mother’s Day and things seemed a bit chaotic. We ended up being seated outdoors because our reserved indoor table was not ready in time. It was a nice evening so we didn’t mind too much. The restaurant and patio are beautiful. Bar service was prompt but the kitchen was quite clearly overwhelmed. We ordered three items for the two of us and were there nearly two hours, most of that time spent waiting for our meal. The food was very good and our waiter was attentive. Multiple tables around us had long wait times as well. I would like to go back on a more typical night since hopefully service would be a bit more fluent.

The food was mixed, yamas chips were great, zucchini pancakes were terrible. Portions are big so don’t over order It was hard getting seared as it took 45 minutes to get a table that we had reservations for. Server was good, hostess was ok

Stop trying to be something more. You don’t need super loud obnoxious music to be cool. You already have phenomenal food and a great atmosphere. We were sat late, moved 3 times bc we were trying to avoid the club the music, were told they were out of wine we wanted and then meals we wanted, so eventually we just walked out. You’re just trying to do too much. Focus on getting people sat on time, waited in appropriately and having food in stock. Hoping next time it’s the spot we came to love your first year.

Beautiful atmosphere, the DJ gave upbeat vibes. The food was delicious, ordered the veggie chips, Mediterranean linguine, and Aphrodite mocktail

The DJ music playing wasn’t the problem. The volume was. Deafening and uncomfortable to yell brunch conversation at someone two feet in front of you. Same DJ, same music, but not cranked at deafening club level would be way more appropriate for a restaurant. Left with ears buzzing. Great food and we are repeat diners, wanted to experience the cuisine and restaurant vibe but won’t be back on a weekend due to this discomfort. Shame cause the brunch menu looked good but this was a huge deterrent.

Es servicio pésimo! La mesera apurando para todo. Como que era su urgencia que desocupáramos la mesa. No explicó nada del menú y eso que era la primera ves comiendo esa comida. Nunca hay lugar adentro Afuera hay mucho ruido mucho calor hay animalitos en las mesas como caen del techo Eso da asco La comida está bien.

The music was club like first thing in, the quietest part of the night was when glasses shattered and people stopped talking in shock. The service was mediocre. We came during my son’s birthday under the reservation. Not big fans of huge spectacle and special treatments, but three other parties had a birthday during our hour and a half eating there and nothing was offered to us weirdly enough. Had we not come straight from the airport and been in a less shabby state, the birthday gift that everyone else received would’ve been most welcomed. The service as simply awful, glasses empty halfway through dinner and we only managed to get a hold of the waitress for a second glass at the very end of the dinner. The pricing was fair seeing as this is Austin, regarding payment there was no customizable tip option, forcing you to give at least 20% with options for more, which was not deserved, and on a bill worth 170$ and more would’ve been rounded off nicely to 200$, however the restaurant basically extorted a full 20% tip out of us for dismally mediocre service. The only fair thing were the ingredients used in the food, not that the food itself was that special but credits for the fresh seafood. After a long day of traveling during a birthday to enjoy a nice Greek evening, tis was a disappointment to say the least.

Third time at Yamas and it's been fantastic each time! The food is amazing and the waitstaff is very attentive. The atmosphere is fun and lively and makes me want to book a trip to Greece!

Loved our meal ! Started with spanikota which was delicious; the whole Branzino fish as was the filet mignon on a skewer was fantastic!! As usual the Greek sangria was great! I have not have a bad meal at yamas yet and have eaten there several times; it makes you feel like your eating in Santorini Greece ; park at the church next door it’s easier and they don’t mind :)

Extremely overpriced for food offerings. Flavors average to disappointing. Service was fine when offered but infrequent enough to be insufficient. Eventually had to request our check as our table seemed to have been forgotten. Other multiple, but minor, irritations that added up to an unpleasant yet expensive experience.

i was really looking forward to this place. i had heard great things about it. overall i was underwhelmed. it was really loud so we literally had to yell across the table to talk and be heard. our waiter was nice but we had to wait 15 minutes for a table even with a reservation. the chicken souvlaki was a little undercooked in the middle as it was a thick piece on a skewer. the fava bean dip was so so but not great. and then to cap off the experience a hostess with face piercings came up and told us our time was up and asked us to leave so other people could sit down. we were there less than 2 hrs and nobody had told us that when we were seated. i had another reservation for sunday brunch which i canceled.

Has great potential! The decor is precious & very authentic to Greece. The menu options are also wonderful. I would strongly recommend they lower the volume of the music- by ALOT. It sounded more like a nightclub than the darling brunch location we were hoping for. Unfortunately this left conversation to a minimum because we couldn’t hear each other at the table. Service- hoping the tighten this up. Tons of people working but not very efficient. We will come back in a few months to try again once they’ve worked the kinks out.

This was so disappointing. No one really seemed to be enjoying the Sunday brunch nightclub vibe they were going for. People seemed to be trying to have conversation but the speaker in the dining room made that impossible. The food was also disappointing. My mom had the avocado toast which was actually a sandwich, and I had the kayanas on bruschetta. My mom’s was pretty good but kind of excessive. Meanwhile my eggs were absolutely awful. The acidity in the tomato made the eggs curdle in a way that created a terrible texture, not to mention how soggy it was, which when piled onto the ONE piece of toast for the whole thing, made the toast incredibly soggy and god awful. Not sure if it was that something was off, or the curdled eggs just affected me in some kind of way, but I was feeling sick for the rest of the day. I want to come back and try it again (maybe for dinner?) because I love Greek food and the space was beautiful, but it might take some convincing 😬

It was our first time at Yamas and it was amazing! Sitting outside was very lovely. The portions are huge and my husband and I could have split a meal and still had leftovers! Our waiter was personable and lively but he seemed over taxed like they needed more servers on a Saturday night. Bar service was slow as well. I feel like with a few service tweaks this place would be nearly perfect!

We waited for 30 minutes after being seated, before I kindly asked the closest waitstaff to please find who was supposed to be waiting on us. It got better from there, but not great. Two different people waited on us. One would take an order- then 1 minute later the other would ask if we wanted to order anything additional. It was just an off night for them I guess. So the poor rating was for the service. The food was solid and we enjoyed it. It was my husband’s birthday, so it disappointing to not get good service. We wanted to love Yamas, as it’s fairly close to our house. We’ll give it another try, but won’t be rushing back.

Our second visit. Had another couple with us. Overall great, but… A smaller portion of calamari than our first visit; and my wife’s salmon was served cold. That said, the Marinated Octopus in Vinegar and the Calamari were as good as any we’ve had in Europe. The scallops, Branzino and salmon were all wonderful. In spite of the salmon faux pas, this is a wonderful experience.

Food was delicious. Place was packed on a Tuesday, to give you an idea. Service was personal and engaged, even though we were a business group party of 10. Would highly recommend to anyone.
