Their friendly team provided excellent service & food. Delicious cocktails & sake. Fun atmosphere! Con: to demand $50 min to reserve a bar seat was a bit off putting considering limited seating. Of course, we easily spent more than that w/ drinks,1 app and 2 entries.

Expensive parking, our waitress was noticeably absent. Food was good but incredibly expensive for what it is.

Great first experience at Yakitori Kona. Service was very attentive throughout. Highlights were the crunchy hand roll, crudo, and the dessert. For a party of three, we opted for the Yakitori tasting - one of each skewer - which, along with 3-4 appetizers was more than enough. Surprisingly the vegetables were the best. Lobster was delicious. Beef was well cooked and tasty but a little chewy, maybe a more marbled piece would have been better. Will definitely be back!

Kind of cramped when it's crowded, but good yakitori and cocktails. Steak was our favorite, followed by the shishito pepper app.

We were excited to try Yakitori Kona because we love MF Sushi, but it was very underwhelming. Our server (Ruby, I believe) was excellent, and we had no issues with the service or hospitality. The food was not so great. We ordered fried Gyoza but the cooking oil tasted burned and old. The Tuna Tataki had more sriracha sauce than tuna and it drowned out all the other ingredients. We also split the skewer tasting, which was the worst part. The chicken was dry and chalky, the steak was very well done and tough, and the lobster was completely raw inside. Everything was covered in very overcooked garlic chips. We asked for the check early and Ruby insisted on removing the skewers from our tab (we asked her to please let us pay for it since we ate half of them but she refused to let us). She was very gracious but we will not be back to this spot. Stick to MF Sushi, they’ve never let us down!

Excellent flavor in all the food ordered. Service was very friendly. Some of the sake is overpriced (almost $50 for a small bottle), and selection of sake is very small. Other than that we love the place. Second time there.
