Really nice restaurant, ambience, music, lighting, open kitchen etc. Chicken liver parfait, duck main and chocolate oblivion all very good (also very rich) Beef main felt a little incomplete. Regardless, really nice evening!

Friday evening booking, we were running late due to train disruption but phoned ahead and this was no problem. Staff very friendly and helpful with recommendations. Food was amazing. Carrot cakes are definitely worth ordering as a starter

Great value for the food offer. Service started well but then was left after mains without being offered desserts, more drinks or the bill. It looked like team were training new front of house staff so understandable that it was not a slick as it might usually be Would return

Lovely place and food was fantastic and value for money. We had the 3 courses for £20, and lovely. I have marked down service as I heard the chef saying 'service please' and even though there was 3 waiters no one came, he shouted again then a waiter came and the food was for us as the place was very quiet only one other table. Food was still hit so no real problem. After our meal we had to go looking for the waitress to ask for our bill. Due to lack of other diners no real atmosphere but not their cause.

A great place to enjoy some beautifully cooked and presented food with a friendly and relaxed service. Lovely and light main dining area and bar in an old building refurbished in a sensitive contemporary style. We had both breakfast and an evening meal there (not at the same time!), both were delicious.

Starter of gin cured trout was exceptional. Succulent and tender. Main course of chicken schnitzel really outstanding. Full of flavour with green chilli pickle and apricot. Wine (Picpoul) a nice accompaniment served at the right temperature.

Lovely ambience on entering the venue. The service from the staff was great and they were all really friendly and attentive. Food was fantastic and we will definitely be going again.

Beautiful food at a lovely time of day at 6pm with lots of light coming through the windows. We had a table by the window which was the perfect size for 2 people. No tiny table, having to shuffle drinks or cutlery around when food arrived. Staff were friendly. We will definitely return.

Another fantastic meal at Wreck and Elite Bistros. Great food, fantastic service and a lovely atmosphere for our Sunday lunch. Gorgeous starter of spicy carrot cakes, followed by beautifully cooked Roast Beef and Sticky Toffee Pudding. Yummmmmmmmyyyyyyyyy!

Went out with my wife for an afternoon date and although I've known about this place since it had opened, this was our first visit. Food was amazing! Service amazing, price amazing. Chicken liver parfait to start with my wife having the crispy spiced carrot cakes. Just enough with amazing flavours. Braised feathertip of beef which was juicy, sticky and incredibly tender with the most amazing chips, more like roasties. My wife had the sea bass which looked and tasted fantastic. Finished off with a toasted coconut ice-cream with pineapple and peanuts and short bread crumb and a creme brulé for my wife, of which I only had one bite it was that good. All polished off with a couple of lovely brewed coffees. Drinks menu is vast but I was driving and my wife doesn't drink so a coke for me and a blind rhubarb daiquiri for her. All in all one of the best couple of hours out eating I've had in a long time. My only gripe is that I hadn't gone sooner. See you again Wreckfish very soon.

Fantastic food, with lovely service. I was helped with my dietary requirements and it’s so nice to be able to have a menu and be able to pick things off it and they taste amazing! Lovely evening and highly recommended.

This was recommended by a friend. We hadn't been here before and were slightly concerned about its name! However everything was great. We were there on a Sunday, with a traditional Sunday Menu. The 3 of us all had the beef, with all the usual trimmings. Absolutely excellent. It was also interesting to see the food being cooked The ambience was good, and the staff were attentive, but without trying to move us on. the cocktails were good and the wine we had was excellent and a more reasonable price than usual. Do try it!!.

One of my favourite restaurants but was disappointed this time. Food was late and cold and having asked to warm up both bread and beef, staff didn’t inform me what was happening. Manager never appeared! Will dismiss this as a one off and trust it was just one of those nights. Will give it another go in the future, as loved it over many visits!

Had been here a few weeks earlier on a weekday and had a good experience. Returned on a Saturday evening and left extremely disappointed. The menu price is £49/43 for 3/2 courses. Ordered one pate and one goats cheese starter they both turned up (badly presented) not on sourdough as per the menu but a slice of packet white bread - they’d run out of sourdough but we hadn’t been told when ordering. The cod main course was nice but the sea bass was ordinary at best, both meal’s were lukewarm and the extra portion of carrots (£5) seemingly consisted of half a tin with some dressing on. Drinks and service were fine but the food was miles off.

Great experience, waiting staff were very friendly and attentive, the main course was a little slower than expected coming out of the kitchen, but it was busy and it didn’t detract from the experience. The food was excellent and the Parmesan and Truffle Chips were the best ever.

Second time I've had breakfast here in just over a week. Good choice of breakfast options on the menu and the food is cooked in the open kitchen. Friendly, attentive staff and delicious, fresh food. My companion and I both had the Full Wreck Breakfast with eggs to order. Beautiful, historic building too which adds a sense of occasion. My only complaint was that they didn't have brown sugar which I prefer with coffee. Hopefully be back soon.

Had an unreal dinner experience at Wreck along with a friend who travelled from Ireland. The atmosphere was brilliant, the team were really busy with races weekend but still managed to be super attentive. Wreck is unique in Liverpool, brilliant bistro food, unpretentious friendly atmosphere that is literally unrivalled. Others may claim to be the best restaurant in town and let me tell you for sure - they aren’t. So visit Wreck and just enjoy every single course !
