Wasn't very busy , but it still took a long time to get service and dinner. Waitress was not attentive, had to ask for water and napkins and was then given Luke warm water. Fries were rock hard, Ruben had good flavor but the conrned beef was too thick, so it was chewy.

Nachos and cottage pie were amazing. Service despite hearing they were short staff was excellent. Server had the best coiffed ’80s hair! You would have thought he was Eddie Van Halen. Overall good time for a Tues girls night out.

We went for the Irish music on Sunday night which was really enjoyable. The food however was terrible though, I got the Sunday roast beef dinner and couldn’t eat it and ended up swapping dishes with my boyfriend. The meat was fatty and chewy, the mash potatoes and Yorkshire pudding tasted like lots of cheap margarine was added to them and the green beans tasted like they were fished out of the bin. My boyfriend got the cottage pie which was slightly better but still not enjoyable. The service was terrible too, we had to literally wave our arms frantically whenever we wanted our servers attention and were essentially forgotten about the whole time we were there. Would recommend dropping in to listen to the great musicians with a drink and then leaving to dine somewhere else in the area as it wasn’t enjoyable or even near authentic Irish food I’m afraid.

My husband’s Irish potato soup and bangers and mash were very good. My black bean burger was crispy and had no taste at all. The menu on Open Table was not the same as we were given at the restaurant. The service, however was very friendly and attentive.

A little bit of Ireland. Sunday the Irish group, close my eyes and I am back on the Emerald Isle. Good choice of beer, roast beef dinner good and black bean burger the best. Enjoyed the visit immensely. Will Repeat.

Food was not bad, typical pub fare of wings and fries etc. Service was slow and it was noisy because of an ongoing art class.

Only bummer was we went on a Thursday and there was no live music. Service was spectacular and all the drinks and food were great !

Went for our work Christmas dinner. There was another group with about 40 people so our food was a bit slow to come out. More time to socialize and drink our beer. We’ll be back!

The Sunday roast was great but the portion size was slightly too small, could’ve been a little bit bigger. Good service, nice drinks and loud, energetic atmosphere.

We are locals to this pub and frequent it several times a year, mostly for fish and chips and the delicious beers on tap. The service is always excellent; amaz d how the servers keep tabs on who had what. We did have one disappointment this visit (6pm March 22), the fish seems now to be frozen and badly cooked. In our estimation, up to the recent past it seemed like your fish and chips was a ‘real’ piece of freshly battered fish - irregular (and authentic) in shape. Now, each of the four pieces (between my friend and myself) were exactly the same shape= mass-produced, likely frozen and dropped into the fryer from that state. The result was very crispy on the outside (nice) but hardly fully cooked on the other side of the batter. The taste was OK, but this is NOT authentic fish and chips; a let-down to your excellent pub with wonderful servers. You might want to return to your previous ways with this menu item. = Ken Hughes

We are regulars at the W and H and enjoy your many dishes on the menu. It is the only place I know that has a true pub feel to it. We are often there for the Roast on Sunday and have to say that sometimes are better than others. But, other items are more reliable. I often have the cottage pie which is always good as is the bangers and mash. Beers are good too, Kilkenny being my favorite.

We stopped by here with some relatives to have dinner with our son who is a student at UBC. Food was very good - salmon burger was very nicely done. Guinness on tap was a little too cold and glass of wine could have been a little bigger for the price, but overall we had a great time and will return. Music was just starting as we left and it was nice that they kept the volume at a level that people can still talk.

The omelettes were particularly great and large portions. Drinks were fantastic/interesting combinations. Really loved the real Pub feel and being able to bring my kids as they do in the UK.

we had a lovely meal and great waiter who look after our table and my son's needs as he is disabled but was treated very well and made our dinner with a friend very relaxing and enjoyable.

Really enjoyed this place. It was our first time. It was a Sunday evening, so it wasn't too busy which was perfect for us. It's hard to find a place with good food, good ambience, good service and not too noisy so we can talk - this was the perfect place!

I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Wolf and Hound. The Shepard's Pie was delicious and nice and hot and the service was friendly and very good. I was wishing to hear the music and we stayed til 8:15 and they still hadn't started so we missed the Friday night music.
