Wink is a fantastic establishment with a large vegetarian menu. The service and the food are top-notch and when you couple that with an excellent wine selection, it makes for a great evening.

Had the tasting menu with wine pairing. Food came at a nice leisurely pace. Everything was fresh and prepared well. Service was very attentive. I would recommend for a special occasion.

We've been coming to Wink for 13 years, and this was the first time since the pandemic. It did not disappoint. Wonderful food, ambiance, and service. Austin is full of "want to be" restaurants with mediocre food and service. But Wink...it's the real deal...consistently!

Excellent food; creative and delicious. We both had the 5 course pescatarian tasting menu with wine pairing. Service was great and it was lots of fun. Highly recommend.

The food is excellent, the service is friendly but professional and attentive. Its hidden location in a small shopping center off the main road masks its superb attention to details and its elegant but understated interior. A small gem and a rare occurrence of a restaurant quietly remaining on top of the Austin scene for over 2 decades.

Had 5 course Tasting menu. Substituted salad fot sashimi. Wine pairings were excellent. Scallops - I could taste the ocean - best I've ever had. Duck breast was so good! Mushrooms were to die for. Dessert - the lemon part of the trio - perfection. Creme brule as well. Chocolate too rich. Would have liked some fruit. Waitperson forgot I gad given him CC at the beginning in order to pick up the bill, so that was a bit awkward. But will be back.

100% must-try, deeply moving commitment to culinary excellence and earnest hospitality. My date & I showed up to a strip mall where a laundry place had top-billing, but before we could wonder aloud if we’re in the right place our warm and attentive server Austin asked if we were the 8:45 table. This was in the parking lot. We laughed off the coincidence, but in retrospect it feels like foreshadowing the attention to detail — down to the perfectly-volumed Loretta Lynn Pandora station with a DJ unafraid to thumbs-down & skip any threat to our vibe. I’ll start with the bad news: we were his only table; if this restaurant closes for lack of business, it’s a tragedy of how capitalism cannot sustain humanity’s highest artistic pursuits & a missed opportunity to preserve the purveyor’s of my most treasured dining experiences, the kind where human connection is the centerpiece of your encounter with the other diner(s) and the staff & where every bite makes you feel like you’ve made the right choices. Austin, our server, is a virtuosically-young hospitality expert who clearly studied the finest points of his craft: impassioned/informative wine knowledge calibrated to our baseline targeted at the mechanics of the pairing and precision of their choices, genuine delight in bringing us the high-end but unpretentious bounty of their thoughtful and creative kitchen, and making just the right amount of space to connect with us on a personal level — they’re fortunate to have him. The food was phenomenal; the wine parings, a triumph. We did the 5-course tasting menu for two & they expertly accommodated my capsaicin allergy with delicious uncompromising alternative sauces and garnishes w/o changing the base. Balanced flavors plated beautifully, perfect portions, interesting flavors — bold but not overtly risky. Confidence expressed through attention to detail & not showy barbs; from the amuse to the dessert trio, the envelope felt sealed but never pushed. Sing their praises here!

The lounge/bar is the coziest and most appealing to our group. I took neighbors who had never been there. They were delighted and thrilled to know it is walkable for them. He's a very good cook, so he was amazed as well

We opted for the 7 course tasting. Was amazing, loved every dish as well as the wine pairings. Matthew was great he had great wine recommendations and overall great service. Only complaint is I wasn’t super full!

We had the BEST time at Wink! We celebrated a birthday here and were treated so specially. Extra shout out to Vincent who was the most fantastic sommelier and server. Everything was delicious and perfect.

We have been coming to wink since it opened over 20 years ago. We haven’t been for awhile with so many other restaurants in Austin now- we’ve been missing wink and we were so pleased that it has not changed. Same two amazing chefs- Scruggs and Paul, wonderful service, energy and ambience. So much nostalgia for us. We asked the chefs to prepare the chocolate raspberry soufflé and they so kindly obliged- still so delicious it brought me to tears. What a fabulous blast to the past. Thank you thank you for another wonderful memorable evening at wink!! (Wine bar was great too!)

Wink has impeccable service and excellent food. It’s the perfect small intimate date spot. It’s on the pricey side even for Austin but totally worth it for a special night.

What a hidden gem! We had the 5 course tasting menu and wine pairings - a great experience. Unlike most places, we were allowed to make a substitution on one of the courses. Our server was knowledgeable about wines, and the food was phenomenal. If we lived in Austin, we’d be back.

The waiter needs to be trained on a fine dine service. It was also uncomfortable to see kitchen staff walking through the dining room. It was nice how they handle a birthday celebration and we appreciated it. The duck course was terrible, we received it cold and the meat very chewy. I told the waiter about it and he said the only thing he could do is to send it back to the kitchen to warm it up. The 6th course was a steak and to be honest I had better cuts at Texas Roadhouse - I am sure this will upset the chef. The cut wasn't the best (also chewy) and it was burnt on the outside leaving the meat a bitter taste and for me it this means they don't supervise the service. The rest of the courses was very good. For the money we paid not sure I will go back or even recommend it, sorry.

The food is delicious. We went for a birthday and the restaurant was not packed at all for a 7pm reservation. The waiter helped explain each wine and how it pairs with each dish. We got the five course meal and by the end we are full but not feeling like we over ate. I would recommend for a special event. At the two major differences that this restaurant has done that I haven’t seen others do is one they specifically print out a menu that says happy birthday with your name. And two at the end of the dinner they gave me an extra dessert as well as a menu signed by all the staff.

The wine selection was amazing & the creme brulee was so good but I think the scallops were way too salty, I didn't love the sauce used in the steak tartar. Service was nice and the place is cute and small but the food was really mediocre. Not bad at all, just whatever.

Very friendly, intimate atmosphere. Wonderful food and service. Our server couldn't have been more accommodating and each course was tasty and memorable. Definitely one of the best scallops I've had. The duck breast was moist and savory. Sweetbreads and steak were also great.

From the moment we arrived the service was spotty, disorganized and it really detracted from the overall experience. Staff was nice, but seemed rushed and distracted, needed multiple reminders, etc. Food arrived lukewarm instead of hot, it probably sat around too long before someone got around to bringing it out. Salads were blah, entrees OK, but nice atmosphere and we enjoyed the evening.
