Seated in the grandeur of Peacock Alley, amongst the elegant sounds of the harp, Willard's traditional Afternoon Tea offers a tempting array of savory sandwiches, decadent pastries, and teas.

Afternoon Tea at Willard InterContinental Washington, D.C. takes place on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with two seatings available at 1:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Afternoon Tea makes for an elegant way to celebrate a special occasion. Contact willardtea@ihg.com for more information for groups of ten and more.

I really enjoyed the experience of High Noon Tea at the Willard. The staff was exceptional, the food was good. My only complaint was the people walking by consistently that were not apart of the festivities. I understand it is a hotel, but I believe the tea should be in a different room. We had folks walking by in literally little to no clothing to a whole bride and the wedding party along with the photographer passing by us. Although that is my only critique I would highly recommend this to others.

It was absolutely wonderful. The tea was flavorful. Sandwiches and scones were delightful. The service was impeccable. I am definitely going back!

Lovely afternoon tea in corridor of gorgeous hotel. “Sandwiches” tasty - although more like canapés than proper sandwiches. Two scones and plenary of desserts. Shame that we weren’t provided with hot water to top up teapot from start. I asked for more tea, but only had hot water added then - too late. No new tea provided. Quite pricey but a lovely treat

Lovely and elegant.. My visiting friends will always remember tea at the Willard Hotel. This hotel is exceptionally gorgeous and how sweet it is to be in this ambience for a little time.

I was shocked by the quality of food served, especially for the price charged. All of the savories were obviously made far in advance, which meant that the breads, pastry, etc were incredibly soggy. In addition, the filings were nothing special. The scones were good, but not exceptional. The pastries suffered the same fate as the savory bites - they had been sitting far too long and were soggy. I very recently had afternoon tea at the Park Hyatt, and it was amazing the difference between the two. Park Hyatt was fabulous. The Willard tea was mediocre at best. I was expecting so much more.

Overpriced. Felt extremely rushed. The service and food were both average. Highly recommend the Saint Regis over this experience.

The service was perfect. Our server gave us space and showed up at perfect times; we never had to ask for him. The food was yummy and my mother loved her tea. I recommend getting the champagne as it adds a greater experience and fine touch to it all.
