We are a small, family run restaurant since 2002 specialising in carefully sourced Aberdeen Angus beef from Scottish small highland farms, cooked simply but with flair and attention to detail.
Our emphasis is on high quality local ingredients and fresh produce from the best of local suppliers. Beef is selected, prepared and hung for us by Award wining "John Gilmour" of Macmerry master butchers since 1946. Fresh fish are delivered daily by Calum Sinclair and J.K Thompsons. West coast Mussels are delivered fresh daily by "Sea Mcgee". Our venison comes from wild Perthshire deer, lamb from the Scottish Borders. Artisan and farmhouse British cheeses are supplied by renowned Edinburgh cheesemonger, Iain Mellis and dairy produce from Fife Creamery. We take pride to cook everything fresh in our own kitchen daily.
We have outside seating arrangements for walk-Ins only.

Simply stunning place to dine. Waitresses were welcoming, friendly and very careful in ensuring the experience was fantastic. The fish pie was to die for and the steak was the most tender and flavoursome I have tasted. A simply exquisite place to dine. Highly recommended and a must do while in Edinburgh.

Fabulous meal, great service and lovely staff. We had a pre concert dinner and were very well looked after. Everyone had a fish dish!

Lovely spot nice and cosy inside. The lady serving was amazing very helpful smiling away. Went for lunch very reasonable fixed menu and didn’t disappoint. The highlight was the highland park ice cream with orange it was excellent what a great combination. Highly recommend this place

Recommended by our airbnb host. Absolutely wonderful scallops and fillet steak. Service was great, didn't feel rushed and for a change service was not included in the bill - very very happy to add a tip as everything was just wonderful.

Wonderful meal, one person is coeliac, alternatives were offered and wonderful, safe food enjoyed. Sat outside after meal and enjoyed the sunshine with wine. Offered blankets when sun went down. Fantastic service, only negative, and it was small, need to practice making Irish coffee.
