WILD OLIVES

Wild Olives in SeaGrove, Florida features gourmet cheeses and fine wines along with a bistro menu. The menu is well thought out, with salads, platters, small plate offerings and entrées. Chris' burger is the burger you won't forget. Small plates at Wild Olives are made for sharing, and, if you choose several, you can create a meal for your entire party. Salads are served with bread, so they can be almost a meal in and of themselves. You have to try the Crispy Tuna Poke, Fried Goat Cheese and Crab Cakes with Red Pepper Aioli. Popular main entrees include the Chef's Cut, Greek Catch and Paprika Chicken with Pancetta, don't forget about Chris' Famous Reuben "Dagwood".

Chef Chris Trovas prepares Chef's Specials weekly with fresh local seafood.

Wild Olives is known for Friday Night Wine Tastings, they take place every Friday from 4pm-7pm.

Overall it was a good dinner experience. My first impression was it felt like a casual restaurant with fine dining plus prices. They definitely need to add tablecloths. It would help with the sound issue. The small plate section of the menu was definitely small portion with a big price tag for small plates. The grouper picatta was delicious but $52 for an entree is hefty! Food is good, but be prepared for the bill!

When we stepped in the front door staring at two televisions I thought we were in the bar. Unfortunately they dominate the restaurant too. The noise was so loud that I could not hear our waitress when she was two feet away. Food was actually good, but the ambiance was so unpleasant that I can’t imagine going back. Not an enjoyable experience.

Wild Olives for Mother’s Day was a full house. Food took a long time to arrive but they have grace as it was Mom’s Day. The rueben is OUTSTANDING! Ambience was clean, new and minimal. Service was good, not great. I’d come again just for the rueben!
