We dined at Wild Honey to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday. We chose the £95, 3 course menu in the evening but were given the choice to select from the cheaper, pre-theatre menu as we had arrived at 6.30 pm. The choices available on both menus were fine, and we were glad that we opted for the main menu. The food was delicious. Well presented and very tasty. We enjoyed discreet but friendly and attentive service from the wait staff and the sommelier. A nice bottle of moderately priced wine followed a couple of cocktails enjoyed by my wife and son. My dinner ended with a very generous cheese plate which was very tasty, while my guests had chocolate souffle which they both enjoyed. We skipped coffee in favour of after-dinner drinks elsewhere and left with a bill a shaade under £500 for a splendid evening.

We used to go to Wild Honey in its old location, a cosy, wood panelled dining room in the heart of Mayfair. It was a special place. The new location in the Sofitel, Pall Mall is not. That’s not to say it is unpleasant, but it is generic and lacks intimacy. As before, the food was largely excellent, although one of our steaks had a thick line of gristle running through it, which was a shame. Music is pumped out into the dining room at a volume bordering on too much, and the music itself, whilst sometimes fun, is not conducive to a fine dining experience, which is something I always considered Wild Honey to be. Service on arrival was non existent. We wanted to have a cocktail at the bar before being seated, but had to wait about 15-20 minutes before a waiter stopped to ask us for our order. This despite many staff walking past our table and the bar being empty. In contrast, our servers at the table were attentive and friendly. Overall, Wild Honey no longer feels like Wild Honey. The food is still great, but the dining experience is generic and disappointing. The lack of custom on a Friday night suggests others have realised this before we did. It would be difficult to justify going back, despite the talented chef. At the price point, it needs to do everything to a higher a standard.

I truly think the team has created something really special here. A faultless dining experience where you’re made to feel truly welcome and special. There are a number of people who deserve special mention but I don’t know all their names. Certainly Vicky was a super star. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Went here before the theater. They had a fantastic pre-theater menu. Cocktails were delicious, presentation was lovely. Service was very attentive. Would highly recommend!

This restaurant is comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We particularly enjoyed the food, which included some interesting ingredients expertly prepared. The only thing to consider is the music - a good selection of recent classics, but a little incongruous. This detracted slightly from the ambience.

While it’s a great experience in a fantastic restaurant, I felt it lost something. The food was tasty and well presented. Shrinkflation has reached the Wild Honey? I had the same main course as last time, and one of the two pieces of beaf is replaced by a cottage pie (not as refined). The dessert/ice cream is now one scoop instead of the previous two? Otherwise it was delicious. The canelé and chocolates with coffee were fantastic. I also felt a bit hustled by the waitress eg wanting me to order wine before I even knew what were going to eat, getting my order and guest’s swapped,…Not a huge issue but…, probably another brexit ‘benefit’! Christmas decorations were also much nicer last year ;)

It was the first time I ever had rabbit which was lovely. The service was so efficient we were able to catch a late show afterwards. Great relaxed atmosphere, great music in the background. Generous portion of tarte tatin which we were delighted to take some home. Great evening.

Interesting seasonal menu . Delicious halibut and venison. Maybe have 2 veggie options per course ? Wine by the glass interesting but needs some more classics and a bit overpriced. Overall really enjoyed and will have a pudding next time

We received a lovely warm welcome and the reception staff seemed genuinely interested in us. We were quickly shown to very comfortable seats and a nice table and we were given lots of attention. The head chef, Anthony, came to chat to us as he knew our daughter from her days as a chef in London. That made the visit extra special. The food was excellent with timely service and a very pleasant and enjoyable evening all round.

My partner and I had the pre-theatre menu. I was quite satisfied with my choices, but my partner’s first course, pain perdu with vegetables, was bland and uninteresting. Even worse, the English camembert was overly ripe instead of a pleasant creamy taste. The servers were less professional than I expected. When brushing away the crumbs after the first two courses, the waiter mixed up the water glasses, so we lost track of whose glass belonged to whom

Beautiful, tasty food with so much flavour and depth. Attentive and friendly staff, all very knowledgeable about the food and wine. Loved the little personal touches too that we found as it was a birthday meal.

Took my husband for a birthday meal on a Friday evening. We were greeted by friendly and polite staff. We were early so had a cocktail at the bar. These were both £16 and £18 each and were absolutely tiny…! But tasted nice and were expertly made by the friendly bar staff. Our main meal was delicious, chicken and scallop to start, venison and rabbit for main, cheesecake and ice cream to finish. We enjoyed every mouthful. My only criticism is the extortionate price for the food and wine - and this will be the only reason why we likely won’t return. It’s a shame you have to pay such a huge amount for great food - but that’s the way of the world these days! I did notice there was a cheaper option for early/pre-theatre menu. So we may come back one day to try that. Overall we really enjoyed it and will recommend it to friends and family. Thank you!

Very pedestrian menu. Amateurish service bordering on rude (“your food will be ready when it is ready”), red wine served at room temperature, and very poorly dressed crowd including lots of sweatshirts and sweatpants.

Went for pre-theatre meal. The food was delicious - very light and fresh. Very reasonable set menu for £40. It was also my friend’s birthday so they provided some extra dessert which was a lovely touch. Service was very friendly and attentive. Overall great experience, would recommend

Fantastic meal with incredibly good value early dinner, pre Theatre. Three courses which were all beautifully presented and tasty. Vicky, who waited , was one of the best waitresses ever! I wound highly recommend to anybody wanting high class Michelin starred cuisine in london!

Style over substance with an overpriced menu. Starters had broken bones in, main courses came out cold and overall the food lacked the attention to detail that you would expect at this level. The description on the booking for saturday night was a tasting menu but we were only presented with a set menu that seems very pricey and uninteresting compared to alternatives in London. Our server was nice but we didn’t even get an apology for the broken bones that were very off putting and a potential choke hazard. Would look elsewhere for a good meal in London.

We had a fabulous meal here before heading to the theatre. I would thoroughly recommend a visit , the food and service was 5 star. Our waitress Vicky was fantastic, knowledgeable, friendly and really welcoming. We will definitely visit again

The food, service, and ambiance were all first class. Definitely earned its Michelin Star. And our server, Vicky was great throughout! Don't miss out on the Ice Cream with fresh backed madeleines!

Disappointing- we went to Wild Honey in it’s first incarnation a few years ago and it felt like a Michelin starred restaurant. This time the food seemed more like really good pub food. The service was ok for a regular restaurant but not what you would expect at a Michelin starred restaurant at the price point being charged. Overall we had an enjoyable evening but didn’t feel it was value for money compared to previous experiences

The honey ice-cream dessert is amazing, the rest of the menu taste good as well. Staff were friendly and the environment is comfortable and spacious. The location of the restaurant is very easy to find.

A tale of two halves. Food was excellent. Service was not of the standard you would expect in a restaurant such as this. Waiting staff seemed poorly trained and inexperienced.
