Going to White Castle on Valentine's Day has been a tradition for at least 8 years for my husband and myself. Tonight we went to the St Paul location 1120 University. And everything was really good from the moment we walked in to the greeter to being seated and the server that we had a lovely young woman was so nice and so attentive. Bravo to everybody in this location they did an excellent job.

Valentines date at White Castle. Neither of of expected much, but a gimmicky good time. We got that, but service was horrible.... took forever and lost our order. We honestly didn’t care cuz like I say... we didn’t expect much. But when we went to pay, they comped our meal due to the poor service. So that was cool.

Would not recommend for Valentines Day. Three tables who were seated after we were, got served. Had to order twice because wait person didnt know they were out of one of the items we ordered. Our iced tea was delivered without ice! After waiting 15 min for our bill, we totaled the bill ourselves from the menu, left money and walked out. Very disappointing.

This was our most disappointing Candle Light Valentine experience. They had no table for us. Eventually they created one not intending to be used. They scurried around to find a table cloth We had no candles. decorations, photos or table candies. Our waitress though very sweet it was her first day. She took our order and then we waited 46 min - 1 hr. for our food, We surmised that the delay was that our order was not put into the system correctly. So the manager came over and retook our order. Finally we were served.

This year hit an all time low. It was like slumming. My wife & I have been going to the Valentinees day special for 14 years and it was the worse ever. It BEGINS AT THE CORPORATE LEVEL. Look at the shoddy posters advertising Valentines day. they look horrid now. Look at them just 4- 5 years ago every one was special. there were special things given out. You may have lost a little $ then but from friends you gained loyalty from customers. Now when I go to a White Castle I feel as if I'm slumming. Last year at the Lexington / University Ave one in St Paul the ONLY thing that made it special was how well the manager Marvin pulled it off. Last year there was a Wall poster that people thought it fun to pose in front of. This year there was crape paper tacked to the wall with cheezy red hearts that were hanging off of the wall or some were on the floor. Tackey as hell. I';d like someone to talk to me personally about this as I would miss going there on Valentines Day. After this year I'm going to have a hard time convincing my wife to go. Its no longer fun funky its just slumming. You NEED go back to being a classy funky event.

Hit up the special occasion Valentine’s Day like every year. This year sadly did disappoint :( Reservation at 6pm, not seated til 6:40, didn’t leave til 745pm and the order was filled with errors. I love this place, I’ve been going here since 1984, but felt short on this visit, especially on their special, promoted night. I guess there is always next year.

This the worst one I have ever had. I have been going their for six years. The staff really tried to be helpful but they got everything wrong. Wrong food to wrong people, getting food when they had already received their order. We got there at four thirty and left at 6 ten, and one in our party got no food at all. All the customers did not seem upset and neither were we. They have never done this waiting on table routine and our waitress that was her first day on the job. Their did not appear to be a manager on duty. They were about 2 hours behind on reservations. I did not notice any customers really upset. I have eaten their since the big day all went well and I even thanked our waitress for waiting on us that night. I will go again next year and thank you for ding this for around 15 years.

My husband and I have gone to White Castle on Valentines Day for the last couple years. My husband died this summer and I decided that I would eat at White Castle this year too. The staff was great.

We love our Valentine's Day tradition of going to White Castle every year! It's just silly and fun, and we love that everyone there-- patrons and staff-- really gets into it! The decorations and menus and low lights made it romantically cheesy and festive. But what really makes it fun the last two years is the manager, Marvin! He hosted games and handed out prizes, and did it with such enthusiasm, joy, and playfulness! Everyone there was having a great time!!!!!
