Took a bit of time to get waited on, but after that, the drinks, appetizer and entrees came extremely quickly. Next time we're going to order the entree after receiving the appetizer, just to stretch out our stay a bit longer!

Phenomenal experience and a must visit for any authentic ramen fan. Venue is very modern and clean which stands out for most restaurants in AK.

Made a reservation for general dining and got sat in the bar which was dark and loud. Ramen was good but nothing extraordinary especially considering the prices. The bartender who was serving us was friendly and helpful. Would go back but definitely not a regular thing.

Everyone at Whisky and Ramen always takes care of us wonderfully every time that we go. Antonio and his team of hosts seat us quickly in the section that we want to be in every time. The bartendending staff always crafts our drinks efficiently and can make almost any drink that one can imagine. Corey, the head bartender, has crafted an exquisite bar program with an ever evolving drink menu and an extensive collection of favorites both imported and domestic. Chef Mike Dodge has done the same with his food menu, using authentic Asian ingredients to craft every appetizer, main dish, dessert, and especially every bowl of ramen. His team always caters to any request that we have (when they are able) and provides consistent and quality food. Whisky and Ramen has astronomically raised the bar for not just Ramen, but restaurants in general. I look forward to their future.

Absolutely love this place and come as often as I can! I really hope they bring back the milk-washed drinks like Silius Goes East, it was such an incredibly smooth and complex taste and there’s nothing like it anywhere else. I like that they’re trying new drinks but wish we didn’t have to lose the old faves… Keep the genius bartending up, it really is what makes this place special!

Another amazing night at W&R! I was seated at the whiskey bar! It was a lot of fun watching drinks getting made! The staff are wonderful and full of stories!

I've been to Japan many times and am married to a Japanese person, so I admit to a bit of bias. But I had heard such amazing things from everywhere, yet our experience was mediocre. The ramen did not have much depth of flavor. For $23, I expect to have my socks knocked off! Probably good for Anchorage, but not great for anyone who's had great Ramen, in Japan or even Vegas. Each dish took a long time in coming, which we don't mind completely, but it is not a place to go if you're in a hurry. We were there two and a half hours and only had three sides, a bowl of ramen each, and dessert. The service was weird, too. In putting our food in to-go containers, he slowly poured my soup on the table and almost on me, an action I foresaw as he seemed to lack delicacy. We won't be back anytime in the near future, though we may try it again in a year or so.

My new favorite restaurant here in Anchorage, what a fabulous experience! The cocktails were world class and their Manhattan is the best I've ever had. The food is incredible too and the staff are wonderful.

Service was great and apps, entree and dessert were delicious. Had a whisky cocktail based on my server’s recommendation- awesome. The seating layout causes the noise level to be really high and not always easy to have a conversation. I’ll definitely be back.

We got the chance to try something new. But my partner didn't like the pork on his dish because he didn't know that it was pork belly instead of the sliced pork that normally came on the noodles. He couldn't have pork belly fats. So on the menu maybe be more speific on the pork if its pork belly or sliced pork without much fat on it. But overall we enjoyed Chef Mike's present and warm welcome very much. We have been super busy and haven't had the chance to come eat. So being able to be back for our date and seeing Chef Mike definitely made our date so much better. We loved it. Can't wait to see you all and Chef Mike very soon. Tell Chef Mike, April said hello and we are obsessed with the dessert him and his team has created. Well done! The perfect taste to the perfect plating! Bravo! -April Y. & Hugo G.

Finally made it! Got a seat at the downstairs bar and was mesmerized by the beauty and deep dive on the whiskey alone. Of course I ate too much! Was in town for one day and had to try too many things. Satisfied and delighted! I’m not even vegan and was blown away by the vegan creamy broth! 10/10

Our experience was wonderful from the time we walked in the door. The host seated us about 15 minutes prior to our reservation because we were early and the table was ready. Our server was lovely and attentive but not annoying. The cocktails were fabulous and the dipping ramen was delicious. The only suggestions I would have is the portion size, the Bao buns had about a tablespoon of the shredded pork so that was disappointing, and my son ended up ordering a second bowl of ramen because the first bowl was only about half full. On a side note, my daughter in law found a hair in her ramen on the first spoonful and brought it to the attention of the server, she took care of it immediately and replaced it with a fresh bowl quickly, however, she did say she would take that off the bill and didn't. I didn't realize until I looked at the receipt when we returned home that the charge was still on the bill, so that was a little disappointing. All in all we'd definitely return and give them another chance to do better. Thank you.

I know that you’re known for your specialty drinks. But hire enough employees to accommodate. We sat at the bar in front of the bartender, and it took her over 20 minutes to get us our beverages. Then once we were seated for dinner, it was another 30 minutes to get drinks for the rest of our guests. Not impressed at all.

Been waiting to try Whisky and Ramen for a long time and found an open reservation on Easter Sunday; which also happened to be our anniversary. It exeeded my expectations. I'm a Ramen nut, have been ever since I lived in Japan. My Husband is an Airline Pilot who often flies to Japan. We both agreed this was the best Ramen we've had outside of Japan. The broth was rich and flavorful, the noodles just AMAZING. The toppings were unique and fantastic, the egg cooked perfectly. I got the Dark Horse, he got the Buisness Lounge. The Takoyaki was perfect, and again, the best I've had outside Japan. The outside nice and crunchy, the inside thick and gooey whith just the right ammount of Octopus inside. The cocktails were fun! I got the BB Queen and the bubble on top was quite the show, it was creamy and not too strong. The Hubby's drink stole the show though; it was a burbon drink served in s smoked glass with the largest clearest square ice cube you have ever seen. I can't remember the name...Samurai's Satchel or somthing like that. It was mixed with a tad of blueberry somthing that made the bourbon a little sweet and the smokey flavor was definatly there but not overpowering. We will be returning!

Excellent experience as always. We’re locals and return every few months. We enjoyed the new menu items, both the new cocktails and the appetizers. Ron took great care of us, but like usual; the entire dining room staff made sure we had everything we needed and they worked together seamlessly. See you again in a few months!

I’ll start by saying that I’m a tough one to please. I suggest going for sure. Service was very rushed from the moment we sat down. Appetizers were decent. Ramen was tasty but not hot enough. Right before the tomahawk arrived I said out loud “they better not bring the steak before they clear the table.” Sure enough the steak arrives, we still have our empty appetizer/ramen dishes on the table, no clean share plates, forks or steak knives. The tomahawk was cooked perfectly as was the japanese sweet potato that came with it. The TikTok gateau was lovely but the Baked Alaska was oddly salty, even the ice cream was salty. I prefer salt over sugar but there wasn’t a good balance of the two. Great atmosphere and aesthetically appealing build out.

Perhaps it was all the hype. I expected more. Appetizers were good. We had the Scottish egg and the pork buns. The ramen was adequate. Maybe it is because I have been to real Japanese ramen houses but I was unimpressed with my Dark Horse ramen. The date had the chicken skewers. The chicken was good but not fabulous. The cocktails were a lot of fluff or show. The server emphasizing how everything is made in house is nice. Just seems like a lot of fluff. If I had to go back I would get a steak, they looked good but I know I can get a good steak at several other places in town. This place is probably best if you want a few fluffy drinks and an appetizer.

Food was excellent. Drinks were excellent. The feel and ambience were excellent. But the most exceptional part of our experience was the service. Mitch went above and beyond. He explained menu items, drinks, took time to joke and chat with us while also taking care of all his other guests. We will be back for sure!

My friend and I took her very picky teenage daughter here. I was afraid she wouldn't try anything, but eventually talked her into the Sugamo Star Ramen, which was a perfect "starter ramen" for picky eaters who don't want exotic mushrooms or anything too boujie in their bowl. There were some bamboo pieces, but she declared them edible & enjoyed her dinner. My friend and I both got the Business Lounge, and it was to die for. Service was superb even though they were busy.

If you are into hip fads, abundant whiskey choices and spending too much money, this is the place for you. The food was good but nothing to write home about. I’m not sure how a japanese wagyu came out tougher than a 6oz sirloin at a roadhouse. It did taste alright - in the dipping sauce. The ramen was eatable, yet I’d rather buy a cheap pack from the store and throw whatever in it at home or visit much more modest asian soup place in town with better flavor and better service. Server was subpar.

Second time at whisky & ramen and just as amazing. Service is great and all the food is delicious. The dark horse is our favorite ramen and since we were celebrating a birthday we went all out with a steak as well - it was fantastic. All the small plates and cocktails we’ve tried have been amazing as well. Will continue to recommend to anyone asking for restaurant recs in town

The experience is usually good. George is a great bartender and server. Taylor wasn’t there but she’s the best. The food is always on point. There’s a reason that Whisky and Ramen is an award-winning restaurant. There are some instances of people being creepy about watching you eat, staff and customers but I guess that comes with the territory. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and I appreciate the hospitality. Thank you.
