No matter how much time you have to visit us, you’re sure to enjoy your Western Tiers Distillery experience. With floor to ceiling views of our state-of-the-art distillery, relax as you sample our premium Tasmanian spirits.

Book a tour of our distillery. Savour the distinct aromatics of Tasmanian grown botanicals. Discover how we make a variety of gins, whisky, vodka and our very popular poitin (Irish moonshine). Just as our spirits have been inspired by and sourced from the majestic landscape of the great Western Tiers, produce on our menu is also sourced locally. Our menu, just like our spirits, is created with love and passion for you to enjoy.

Whether you’re visiting us for lunch (11:30am to 2:30pm), choosing to have a leisurely afternoon sipping cocktails, touring the distillery or tasting our range of premium Tasmanian spirits, you’ll be able to relax in comfort as you enjoy your Western Tiers Distillery experience with friends.

TOUR TIMES: 2.30pm Thurs & Fri || 3pm Sat & Sun An extraordinary way to learn about craft distillation & artisan spirits. Start the journey from mashing of barley & fermentation through to distilling & barrel maturation to create our triple distilled whiskey; followed by the art of gin/vodka creation. The whole experience will give you the chance to see where our Spirits are made & appreciate what’s in your glass. Your spirit guide will give you access to enjoy exploring our production area, stills, bottling setup & the opportunity to see, touch & smell our raw ingredients/botanicals. Afterwards why not join us for a WTD Tasting Flight, Cheese Board or Grazing Platter!! Limited to 8 people Larger Group Tours on request

We were greeted with a friendly welcome and had great service throughout our lunch. The food is well presented and delicious! The Bramble cocktail didn't disappoint, it was just as I remembered at the Festivale. Yummy! Definitely recommend. 😊

Fabulous place for a meal. I took my 6 month old puppy and they were happy for him to be outside on the deck,and they bought him a big bowl of water. I had the lunch special which was a salmon and prawn pasta. It was one of the best pasta dishes I've ever eaten. Well done to the chef. The wait staff were friendly,welcoming,courteous,professional and engaging. I love driving out from Launceston to have lunch here,it's so worth the drive!

Great food, very good service. Comfortable relaxed setting. Efficient staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of distillery. Shannon provided a very informative tour and we were lucky enough to sample some of their products.

We had a wonderful experience. The service was fantastic and the food fabulous. We will certainly spread the word and go again. Plenty of parking and an interesting menu.

A very pleasant Sunday lunch. Food was very good, serves were not huge but reasonable. Service was excellent. Average value for money. Overall very enjoyable, we will be back.

The gin flights were very good value and there are some wines, cocktails and a good range of non alcoholic drinks available. There was a good range of small/large meals to choose from, the coconut prawns were amazing.

Very relaxing atmosphere. Pulled pork with scallops followed by apple/rubarb crumble were really nice. Time between courses was good. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Excellent food, beautifully presented, Adequate sized portions, but ideal for sharing. Please note that the website is very difficult to navigate to find the restaurant and menu. Could be made far more user friendly for those after food rather alcohol ( or at least a combination)

We both enjoyed the dining experience very much, especially the gin selection. The prawns and apricot cocktail were very enjoyable. Looking forward to when Western Tiers Distillery has single malt whiskey on the menu!

Pork belly was tasty but a little dry. Gnocchi was really good, pillowy, delicious and well balanced with pine nuts, cheese and spinach. The prawns were very small and few, disappointing. Desserts were fabulous -- choc fondant and lemon creme brulee, both definite musts!

Food is quite nice but having been a few times now would like to see some different dishes on the menu. Small disappointment when we had ordered the house bread special for the table and only really given enough for 1-2 people. Loaf was quite tiny, more like small bread roll and cut into 5 little slices. Shame because it was tasty and served with lovely whipped butter plus balsamic in oil.
