    We had so many waiters and stresses we had no idea who was ours. Food expensive but good. Can share some of the mains but the small plates were very small!

    We were greeted immediately upon arrival, we asked to be sat by an open window and they accommodated. Our server greeted us warmly and made a number of recommendations for dinner. It was $1 oyster night, they arrived quickly and were incredibly fresh. The accompanying sauces were homemade and delicious. the dinner entrées were outstanding, I would recommend Waypoint to anyone!

    I had baked oysters they were very delicious minus the size and salty flavor. The crab and Angel hair pasta had potential to be an award winning dish but was extremely disappointing with the amount of salt used. Cheese is salty you didn’t need to add salt using cheese and jalapeños.

    We arrived for a late lunch (at 1pm) for Mother’s Day, and were seated promptly, but unfortunately did not have a good experience after that. Our service was very slow, and our server was not apologetic about the delays or losing our food ticket among the minimal amount of other orders at the time. When she told us that we would still need to wait another 10 minutes for our food, I repeated it to confirm, and she rolled her eyes and gave me a dirty look as she said, thank you for your patience, and walked away. She did not apologize at all during the 2+ hours we were at our table for a pre-fixe 3 course meal. We didn’t even have our dessert because we were not interested in sitting in the restaurant any longer. We did not get credited for the food we did not eat either. It was a very poor experience, and based on previous poor experiences, I will not be dining here again.

    Went on Mother's Day and the service was one of the worst I had in my life. There was no assigned waiter so we got asked what we'd like to order by three different people. Somehow, even with 3 people checking in, it still took them over 15 minutes to take our order and bring our drinks (which were forgotten about twice). There was apparently no communication between BOH and FOH because we were told two hours in that one of the items we ordered in the set menu was out of stock. They refused to refund us for the item because it was part of a set menu instead of an individual entree (even though ordering just an entree wasn't even an option!). In addition, all our entrees were brought out at separate times which meant we couldn't even eat together. The service was so slow that it took them about 2.5 hours and counting to serve 3 courses. Not sure how long it would have taken in the end because we gave up and asked them to pack up dessert. The food was OK and reflected its price point for Cambridge. If the service hadn't been so disappointing, this would have been a nice spot. Alas, I won't be going back, and I can't recommend this place to anyone.

    Service was very slow; took 20 minutes to receive our drinks and 45 minutes for the first food to arrive. Drinks & oysters were great, but all other food was so under-seasoned that we asked for salt & pepper. Server rarely checked on us, too.

    The food was not what i expected. it was average. the blue fin tuna app was good; however, it was smothered in chili oil and mint and it was just too much for something that should be so simple. The pan seared salmon was dry and a very small portion compared to the fish and chips (which was good, but the bar down the street does better). So all in all, average food. I was left disappointed and do not feel the need to return. If i could choose to do it over, i would go somewhere else. Server was very nice as was the wait staff.

    The food was delicious. The service was prompt and I had a great mojito. The valet was great. The restaurant let us park our car there after we finished eating. We walked around Harvard Square and we came back and we picked it up later right before 11:30 pm. The valet made our minds at ease on where to park.

    Very inventive and deliscoius food, service was good, more wine expertise would have been helpful, but a minor issue. Flatbread wsas one the best breads I have ever had.

    This was our first time here, and the only thing we could complain about was the lack of parking. After trying to find street parking for 25 minutes (really), we booked a spot hero 10 minutes away. Consider using the valet service. We loved the "hash browns", the oysters, and dumplings. The soft shell crab and Brussels sprouts were good as well. The items came out one at a time, which was nice, and I got a good wine recommendation from the waiter. We'll be back, for sure.

    This food is out of this world!!! We are such foodies and this was top notch! The plates are large enough to share and we got to try many different dishes this way. We will definitely be back every time we are in Cambridge!

    I’ve been to waypoint a few times but felt that the recent customer service has declined a bit. I went for the Easter special. We got our first course and didn’t receive our drinks so we followed up with our server and they said they forgot to put the drinks in. Then for the second course we (three of us) all ordered the uni bucatini and when I got my plate I noticed it looked different from the other two. I asked and the server said that the chef forgot to put the uni on the pasta. 😅 the server also notified us that the restaurant technically closed at 6:30 but they had a bunch of reservations past 6pm. So I want to assume that there was a mismatch between reservations available and their working hours and that’s why the service wasn’t top notch. I’ll still go back; I just hope that next time things are a bit more organized.

    I can't say enough complimentary things about our Easter Brunch. Simply one of the best meals my foodie daughter and I have ever had! Every item was absolutely creative and delicious. We highly recommend you go!!

    Food was great. Cocktails knocked it out of the park and the clam pizza was awesome. Caesar salad has the perfect amount of dressing but could have used a tad more flavor. The only thing that really bugged me was the pork & shrimp dumplings cost $17 and the order came with 3 small dumplings. I even asked the server to be sure they gave me the right amount. They were good but not at a cost of $5.67 per dumpling.

    The weakest link was the chicory salad which was nothing special. (The other appetizer option was oyster for Dine In Boston and I was told only 3 oysters.) I didn’t feel the appetizer was good value which was what I thought about the whole meal also for $55. If they had elevated the appetizer, it would justify the price otherwise. The shrimp pasta was ok. Not wowed by it. My server was lovely and professional. She said I could choose any dessert from regular dessert menu after she told me the Restaurant Week dessert I wanted was sold out. And all staff were friendly and polite which I look for at restaurants since I’m Manager at a restaurant10 mins walk away. Not sure if I’ll return.

    They have dollar oyster hour! And they are amazing oysters! Our other dishes were simple (hamachi crudo and mushroom pizza) but delicious as well! They performed magic on the broccolini though.

    Truly wonderful meal, with excellent service throughout. Our server was especially helpful in detailing/double checking gluten-free choices for a member of our party (celiac). We're very glad we celebrated our special occasion at Waypoint.

    The raw seafood there is always amazing-- really top quality, especially their happy hour oysters (and this time I had the hamachi crudo which was incredible). The rest of the menu is slightly more hit-or-miss; I love their pizzas, and have enjoyed some of the pastas, but recently had the lobster koji butter pasta and was a little disappointed: it was tasty, but really just from the overload of butter and parmesan, there wasn't much nuance/depth of flavor (couldn't really taste the koji). I felt similarly about their jonah crab pasta: good, but simple enough that I could make it myself instead of paying >$30. Overall I've been here many times and highly recommend, just occasionally I encounter a weaker item on the menu.

    The food was delicious and the waitperson was helpful. The only problem was that the food was delivered to our table randomly so we weren’t able to enjoy the dishes together and in a reasonable order.

    Thought I left this earlier but I guess it’s been sitting in my drafts …. We had a blast!! We both work nights and usually end up going out later than most on our day off. It was nice to be treated so kindly and not feel rushed even as they were closing a Monday shift. Henry was awesome and super accommodating. Didn’t get the name of the other male server working that night but he was also welcoming/hospitable. Both of them were great to talk to. Henry went out of his way to brew me fresh coffee and teach us a little about Greek wine. Food was also BANGING. Made with lots of love and care. I’ll be thinking about the branzino with fennel and tuna tartare for awhile. Great place!

    Waypoint used to be a much better restraurant. This time, the food disappointed (stay away from market vegetables and mackerel pate) , service was so-so and the toilets were a mess... for a 5:45 reservation - the restaurant had barely opened for the day.

    They ran out of oysters, our main reason for picking this restaurant. The shrimp and pork dumplings are not worth 17$, there were only 3 small dumplings. The waiter was a little unfriendly.
