I brought my daughter here for her birthday. As we walked in we were cordially greeted by the hostess. I didn’t get her name but she was very sweet. She sat us upstairs at a window seat looking out on the lake and that made us very happy so we could see the sunset. Before she left she told my daughter Happy Birthday. Our server Lizzy was spectacular and answered our questions about the menu and drinks. She definitely is a keeper there. Crab cakes and the Chips and Dips were on point. My daughter had the Pork Chops and I had the Shrimp. So delicious. After we finished Lizzy brought my daughter out a Strawberry Shortcake for us to enjoy on her special day. We were so full but we had to indulge ourselves. The manager stopped at our table and asked if everything was okay and we said excellent. We definitely had a spectacular experience and highly recommend the Water Front Bar and Grill. We will definitely be back. Thank you again for making this a special experience for my daughter’s birthday. Best wishes

We Loved our food and the table was very cute in the booth or bar area. But we found it difficult to hear each other and were a little pinched to see the water front which is why we came to the restaurant. It appeared that even though we made our reservations a week or more in advance, because we were not hotel guests, we were relegated to the only table left with a porthole view. We were told we could sit outside and pick up our own drink and food when its ready, which was odd. Then we saw an upstairs area with live music which was where most of the diners were taken.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Waterfront Grill, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was inviting. Our server, Lizzy, deserves special recognition for her outstanding service. She was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and ensured that our dining experience was nothing short of perfect. Her friendly demeanor and efficiency truly enhanced our evening. I also want to give a shoutout to the manager, Roe, whose presence was felt throughout our meal. Roe's attentiveness to the diners and the overall operation of the restaurant was commendable, further elevating our dining experience. Of course, I can't forget to mention the food—it was simply amazing. Each dish was expertly prepared, bursting with flavor and creativity. The culinary team at Waterfront Grill truly knows how to delight the taste buds. In conclusion, if you're looking for a dining experience that combines exceptional service, delicious food, and a captivating atmosphere, look no further than Waterfront Grill. Lizzy and Roe, along with the entire staff, have set the bar high for hospitality.

If you are looking for a nice restaurant, with good food and service, stay away from this one! My family chose this restaurant as it showed to have good views and the food looked good from the photos. However after being sat it seemed as if we were forgotten about. The waitress we had was very inattentive and our water glasses ran dry on more than one occasion. We received our appetizer fairly quickly, but after that it was all down hill. Over an hour from when we sat down did our food arrive, when it did the fish was bland and the fries were cold. The manager offered a free desert, but even that took 20 minutes from when we ordered it. I could understand some wait if the place was packed, but it was anything but, needless to say we will not be returning anytime soon.

I cannot begin to tell you what an OUTSTANDING dining experience we enjoyed last night. Anne waited on us and she is a true master!! The wine was perfect and everyone's plate was completely empty when we were finished.

Everything was great. The only problem we had was taken care of by the competent waitress. The water served had a bad taste so the waitress changed to bottled water and then made sure it was complementary. Perfect.

The Texi-Huli chicken was okay, but the Grilled Filet Taco was outstanding. I may go back just to get one or two more of those before I leave the area. The wait staff were all friendly and helpful both on the way in and out. I sat outside on the lower deck to watch the sunset and was told I would go to the bar to place my order etc. I didn't quite understand why the table next to me seemed to be getting standard table side service, but maybe it was just because I was a table of 1 while they were 4. There was live music on the upper patio, but I appreciated the slightly quieter atmosphere down on the dockside area and I could still hear the music at a regular volume from there anyway.

We had a delicious meal with excellent service. We sat on the second floor on one end, having requested a quiet table and we were definitely seated in a quiet area which was nice our waiter. Brayden was fantastic and we all enjoyed our meals.

We really wanted to love this resturant, it’s such a beautiful view and atmosphere is nice but the food was really bad. :( The duck fried rice was the exception and best dish we had!

Our food was good, as expected. Zach our server was a bit over worked at the beginning of our meal, however, once his large table left he was on top of it. Even though he was busy at the beginning of our visit, he did his best to keep us served. We enjoyed the experience and will return.

We loved our time at Horseshoe Bay Resort and we dined at Waterfront Bar and Grill several times! The staff, the food, and the ambiance were all amazing and we loved everything we had on the menu! The Waterfront Cobb salad was definitely a favorite! Will be back in April and can’t wait to dine again!

We were very disappointed on our first visit. On a busy Spring Break weekend, they were out of several food and drink items leaving us to order things we were not excited about. The execution was not good either. Swordfish was the only seafood available and it was miserably overcooked. Burger had no flavor. For a TX Hill Country lakeside restaurant, this place has no TX vibe at all. More Hawaiian influence which makes no sense. Views were ok, but if this is the top restaurant here, we were very disappointed and would not recommend

First order of the WF Burger came to table less than warm as well as the fries. Had it returned and was quickly given a much better and hotter plate of food. Server, Brayden was very knowledgeable of menu and made good recommendations, was attentive, and personable but needs to cut back a little on his chit chats with diners. Overheard conversations that intruded on my wanting a quieter experience. Nice young man but too much chatter.

We did the Valentines special. Everything was pretty decent. The portions were pretty small to share for two people.

We were seated promptly and professionally. The dining area was quite loud, but not so much that we could not speak to one another. The first problem we encountered was the waitress not being aware of several things concerning the Valentine's special shared meal that we were there to enjoy. She seemed unsure that this was a shared meal priced at $68 per couple. Further, she was totally unaware that the advertisement from HSBR indicated that a welcome glass of champagne was part of the meal in the stated price. We were never offered that, though we did point it out. When she brought the wine we had ordered, she unfortunately dropped the third glass she was carrying (for another table), some of which splashed on me, and quite visibly on the table. The staff seemed a bit unsure of what to do but did manage to clean up the mess on the floor beside our table. No one cleaned our table of the spilled red wine and we had to request more silverware sets (which had napkins) after we had cleaned the mess ourselves. The waitress did apologize profusely, but she did nothing to offset the poor experience. At the end of the meal, when she presented us with our check she acknowledged she should have comped the wine we had ordered (in lieu of the champagne and the mess) but she did not do so. In most restaurants that we've dined in across the state and nation, had something like that occurred, we would have had the manager come to offer an apology and some means of compensating us for so poor an experience. That did not happen and it is not likely we will return nor recommend this location.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a detailed review. I want to sincerely apologize that your experience with us was not up to our standard of service. This particular night, the upstairs dining area was unavailable and we typically have a much more spacious dining area. Though it is not an excuse, Saturday night was an anomaly for us. I apologize about the service you received and will use your feedback for better staff training. We do hope that you choose to give us another chance and will use your feedback to better train the staff and enhance guest experience!

We had a reservation and the hostess called to confirm and offered us a booth, which we accepted, not really knowing the setup because this was our first time. When we arrived, she had given the booth to someone else and then we realized that booths are coveted because they're much more private and protected somewhat from the loudness of the restaurant. We stated our displeasure that she not only called to confirm, but SHE offered the booth only to give it away. She wanted to sit us in the bar area instead, which was horribly loud, but we protested and she did manage to find us a table, but the noise level was still obnoxious. To boot, there was live music so the noise factor was overwhelming and nobody could really have a conversation. The food was OK, not great. The only nice piece of that entire night was our waiter---he was great. However, that was our first and last time at that restaurant.

I do apologize that the host seemed to have a miscommunication that night and though it is not an excuse, our seating was extremely limited due to our upstairs dining floor being unavailable that night. I'm glad that Brayden was able to provide you excellent service and hope you decide to come back out soon and experience the Waterfront in a more positive light.

High scale resort but barely above average food. However, nice atmosphere with good live music. Will go back for drinks & music. 🎸🎶😊

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary, and we had a charming evening!!! The ambiance created by the staff, the place and the music are spot on! We had an amazing time; Tierra took care of us that evening and everything was perfectly timed, not to mention that when she is behind the bar, Tierra makes killer cocktails! Everyone was very welcoming and super attentive! A special shout out to Michael, Leandra, Macie (she is great!), Jake (That guy is fantastic!) for making our evening so special and thanks to Chef Tommy and Chef Debjit for making such a succulent menu!!!! (Y'all gotta try the bacon wrapped octopus and the churrasco) Waterfront is our new FAVORITE place!!!!

I would have given 5 stars on everything if it had not been for the live music component that night. The food, service and venue were excellent but the live music was too loud for a venue like that…. We asked them to turn him down and he did for a hot minute & then returned to the previous volume. I am always perplexed when the performers at a venue like that think they are the show instead of background music. Ugh…. We left early because we could not easily talk to each other. Hope they solve that or it is unlikely we will go back.

Hi Mark, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are currently experimenting with placement of live music inside since it is getting too cold for it to be held outside as we normally have it. We plan on trying it at a different spot moving forward.

Had a reservation for tonight (Oct 24th) and had the best waiter that I have experienced after eating at all restaurants located at the Resort. Brayden was polite, friendly and knew all dishes on the menu very well. He made suggestions, (but not intrusive). He was observant and collected dirty dishes and glasses in a timely manner. He did all of this while “training” a new waitress who shadowed him. I can’t say enough good things about Brayden so please recognize him. Thanks, will be back.

It took about 10 minutes to figure out who our server was and 1 hour for our appetizers to come out and when they did our ( Oñon rings were cold had to take them back to get them warmed up ) 1 hour and a half for our food to come out / 20 minutes for our drinks to come out non alcoholic. Very Disappointed especially since I have restaurants I know that the food service and employee service could have been 100% better and this is was a recommended restaurant to go to .

It was a cold beautiful night. The drinks were awesome. The dish was superbly done. And I got sang happy birthday to since we were celebrating. Great host and service.

We ordered the Calamari appetizer. It was very chewy. The octopus was the only good thing we had was the octopus. The mahi mahi was terrible. It was dry and a very small proportion. The sides were all cold. The redfish was old. It has a very fishy taste. We will not return.
