Ordered the appetizer of Lobster Spinach dip…it was excellent! Ordered the Pear and Arugula salad for my hubby and I to share. It was good but was really skimpy on the pears. My husband ordered the Vegetable Curry Bowl with shrimp…which had excellent flavor. I ordered the Branzino. Menu did not mentioned that it is served whole. Not a problem…just sent it back and asked for the head to be removed (I just don’t find it appetizing…and most menus state when the fish is served whole.) Server brought it back and it was full of bones…but again…it’s fish…so that can happen. The real issue is that there was absolutely zero flavor to the fish. No seasoning…no sauce…nothing. I had to season with some salt and pepper from the table….it was very disappointing. Views are great. Prices reasonable for the location.

Although the place was packed due to springs first day of summer in San Diego, the wait for food was short, drinks came fast, the noise was very very manageable even with a packed hours. Wait staff was polite and very accommodating to request. The view was amazing. We got the exact view and table we requested on our reservation. My gf loved her first trip to Waterbar. You knocked it out of the park. Thank you! Would 100% recommend to others and this wasn’t my first time and won’t be my last!

I made a reservation to sit closest to the windows where the view is spectacular (although they say the can’t guarantee that all the time). Our server was delightful and gave us really good recommendations. I loved the drink, “ocean mist” and the food was really good.

What an amazing experience . We were greeted by Taylor who was super friendly and guided us to the perfect table on the glass. The view is spectacular and the food was delicious. We had the shrimp and grits and the parmesan truffle fries . The drinks are really tasty too. Our server made great recommendations. We will be back!

Our server was fantastic— friendly, knowledgeable, attentive. Food was excellent. Location couldn’t be beat - we were staying less than 1000 feet away. View and ambience was incredible. Only downer was a 4% SD Surcharge on the bill. We will definitely return if we are ever in the area.

This was an awesome place to eat! The ambience is great it the view of the water is so much fun! There were 6 adults and one toddler. We ordered drinks and were able to order the toddlers food right away. We shared the calamari which was so tender and the coating was delicious. We also had the ceviche which we would order again. All of our meals were yummy, and the drinks were great! Would definitely come back when I am here again.

Seafood for Christmas Eve is a tradition in our family and Waterbar was a perfect place to keep it going! Ceviche is always amazing! And Mollie was an AMAZING server who went above and beyond for our family. We are so grateful!

Wasn’t expecting it to be quite so delicious since a lot of the beach front restaurants are more about location than food! The ceviche and poke were phenomenal! And the service was superb! Actually changed a holiday reservation elsewhere to the Waterbar after this great experience!

We reserved a table for 2023 Thanksgiving. The chef prepared a special dinner which we greatly enjoyed. The meal was topped off with a delicious pumpkin pie with a dusting of cinnamon. The service was exceptional as well.

The music was WAAAY to loud. The portion sizes were WAAAY too large. The food was sub-par in terms of taste. The staff was really kind, allowing us to use their elevator to go upstairs. Our server, Molly, was friendly & professional. We were seated at a window. The view of the beach was really nice.

I made a reservation for Rooftop regular table seating for a special birthday celebration. We were willing to drive an hour to be able to sit with a view of the ocean. These were all options presented to us via Open Table. When we arrived, we were told the rooftop area had been closed for quite some time. All the tables by the windows were tall bar stools. I'm disabled and can't sit on a bar stool. The only low seating was a booth on the opposite side of the windows you had to step up to get in. No view no sounds. If I were in a wheelchair, there would be no accessible seating in the whole restaurant. Super disappointing.
