    Water Grill is a large, beautifully decorated restaurant near South Coast Plaza and the Segerstrom Center. The restaurant has an amazing, covered patio that is a big hit for its customers. There are two large bars, ample indoor seating and a dedicated shellfish bar. There are rooms available for private events and very large parties. The seafood menu is extensive with a tremendous selection that includes oysters, crab, lobster and fresh fish. Their wonderful clam chowder actually has clams in it! Not the normal, blended in pieces of clams, but actual clams. They provide a silver bowl for the shells. Additionally, we had the crabcakes and the halibut. The food was fantastic! Our server was excellent. Separate delivery servers bring the food to the table while it is hot. The ambiance is off the charts if you like "nautical-themed" restaurants. Valet parking is available. We can't wait to return!

    Food and service beyond excellent. Highly recommend. The noise level is horrible especially for the older generation! Experience above the norm except for the noise. Be prepared to exceed budget but worth every penny

    My husband and I ate here last night for our 41st anniversary. It was a special place that lived up to the hype, and then some. Everything was top flight, with the exception of our server....who was polite and friendly, but somewhat distracted. To my way of thinking we were left on our own too long, plus it was very hard to understand what he was saying. However, my husband, who is generally a harder grader than I, didn't agree with me. Our seafood was exemplary and so very very fresh and well-prepared. Kudos to WG!
