Located directly south of The Shanty restaurant, on the southeast corner of Wadsworth Road & US Highway 41 in Wadsworth, IL - Wadsworth Inn is open 7 nights a week starting at 4 pm and offers a cozy rustic ambiance for dining, bar service, and private events. We also feature upstairs outdoor balcony seating with picturesque views of the forest preserve. The menu offers recipes crafted from locally sourced fresh vegetables/herbs from neighborhood farms, creative dishes, timeless comfort food entrees prepared in cast iron, creative takes on fresh seafood & premium aged steaks. 1 person at our table got their food 15 minutes later than the rest of us. And then it was not correct. Our drinks went empty several times. The food was just okay for the price. We were very disappointed.

First time, took the trip up from close to Chicago as I usually make it for the Shanty. Heard that the good people of the Shanty were behind this restaurant and looked at the menu, and it was a no brainer. Did not disappoint, as expected we received high quality food and service without the high price. Definitely look forward to returning to try more menu items. Had the beef Wellington this time. Soup (lobster bisque) came with it and my wife had lobster rolls; those were amazing. Better than I’ve had anywhere. Drinks were generous. I’ll be back!!!!

We had a great fish fry at the Wadsworth Inn! This place is consistently very very good. Excellent service, tasty food, large portions, nice casual atmosphere - all at a reasonable price. We'll be back soon!!

The Wadsworth Inn is always a perfect place if you are hungry or just want a few apps with cocktails. The service is always outstanding and personal and the food is excellent. A great amount of choice, anyone can find something at The Wadsworth Inn.

A sister property to The Shanty, this spot is a bit quieter (sit on the lawn side at tables). Beef Wellington is a very special find on any menu and it was prepared perfectly!
