Welcome to the Igloo's of Vulcania! They are great for special occasions and private dining. An Igloo fits a minimum of 4 to a total of 8 guests comfortably. They are heated, air conditioned, blankets and pillows for when it's cold, as well as a Bluetooth speaker to play your own music. Reservation fee for the Igloo's on the patio is twenty dollars per person, there is a minimum of five hundred dollars, but the reservation fee is credited to your total bill. If the minimum is not met, the remaining balance will be added to your final bill. Minimum does not include tax and gratuity, but gratuity can be added upon request. We hope you join us within the Igloo!

Amazing!!! Shout out to Chef Nate! Great meeting you in town and thank you for taking the time to come chat with us. The food was delicious, the Voltaggios didn't disappoint and that meatball... Yum!!! Your take on sausage and peppers, was such a surprise and my wife can't stop talking about it. And the Salumi pizza was truly delicious, and as a NYer and pizza snob... Nailed it!! No wonder the V brothers brought you out from DC to help open this location. Looking forward to seeing you in October!

Overpriced, even for Mammoth Lakes. Food was okay, but not amazing. Smoked Moz Cheese Sticks were good (honestly, I think I can make this by mixing mozzarella and smoked gouda), but 3 sticks for $18 was ridiculous. Caesar salad was way too salty. Branzino was solid, but nothing amazing. Voltaggi-O was fun, and was a good upscale version of Spagetti-Os. Just a bit salty.

We liked the place. The Caesar’s salad was great because we all know it’s not about the Romaine lettuce. The lemon-cheese ravioli was wonderful. The shrimp scampi was good too, not great but I would have it again. One sorta distraction was the waiter, good waiter, shared that they serve things one at a time and we used “shared plates” to, you know, share. Okay, good so far. But you don’t share lemon-cheese ravioli on a plate that has Caesar’s salad and its leftover dressing. Not good, sorry. We go new plates to share with but don’t do that. The waiter’s wine choices were quite excellent. I’ll go again, but now know to ask for clean sharing plates.

The food has gone down hill. The steak no long has the polenta with it and seems to be a different, less tender and more sinuous cut. Very disappointing.

Octopus was the highlight. The lamb bolognese ravioli were highly recommended but not our favorite. We were hoping for a richer, meatier sauce but the cheese-stuffed raviolis were the dominant presence on the dish. The caprese burrata was excellent but do not expect the brightness of fresh tomatoes. It was more of a “darker”, savory tomato dish, which was nicely balanced by the light and creamy burrata. Food was overall wonderful but I wish they would switch out their bar tables for normal height tables.

We dined at Vulcania last night for the second time. We really enjoyed our first experience, so we made reservations about a month ago and were looking forward to going again. We showed up for our 6:30 reservation and when we approached the hosts to check in they were scouring the iPad and whispering amongst themselves, looking for a place to put us. After a moment they exchanged a knowing glance and then told us they had a table available, but that it was next to a table with kids. We didn’t think much of it, we don’t have a problem with a family dining with kids, so we said we’d take that table. When we were seated we realized that they did not mean it was a table with a family that had kids. It was a table of about 8 children ages 6-7 with no adults. The adults had their own table at a high top across from the children, and for the most part ignored the children and their behavior. I sat on the side that had a booth, and my husband sat across from me in a chair. The children seated on the booth side next to me stood up and jumped up and down on the shared booth throughout the meal, rolled around bumping me several times, at one point they started fighting and several of the kids started crying until the parents came over. Throughout the whole meal, the mother of one of the kids kept coming over and squeezing between our table and theirs, telling them to behave practically putting her butt in our face. We did not really enjoy our meal that we had been looking forward to for weeks, that cost over $150. Our server was great, we felt bad for them because the parents were pretty checked out the whole evening, and they seemed to feel bad. The parents wanted to have an “adult table” to themselves but that does not mean that the staff or other patrons should have to put up with their children. The staff in charge of seating never should have let the parents be seated so far away from the children and make them the responsibility of the rest of the restaurant.
