Volta is a neighbourhood restaurant and bar located at the heart of Burton Road in West Didsbury. We serve a menu of small plates inspired by our international travels. You can eat & drink on our cosy terrace to the front or enjoy the chic decor and vintage bistro style ambience inside.

Please note that bookings for Sunday are for our delicious Small Plates menu!

Our outside covered terrace offers heaters and a covered canopy. Hosting the full range of drinks and small plates.

Sat outside with friends from London . Burton rd was buzzing Great food . Tried the Volta Experience menu, which was great but a lot of food , so make sure you’re really hungry ! All our faves were on the menu & the lamb & whipped feta are a must !!

Lovely place to sit outside with some friends. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The amaretto sour was gorgeous. Would definitely go back.

Lovely meal. Very tasty dishes. We love the potatoes but the lamb shawarma and whipped feta are also yummy.

Food was absolutely delicious and our waitress couldn’t have been better - recommended a great rose blush, really attentive and brought a great vibe to the evening. Highlights were the whole roasted sea bass and the goats cheese with honey. Always a great meal here x

Second time visiting and as always the food (and drink) is exceptional. Service is friendly and mostly attentive, but can be hard to catch the waiters eye during busy period - to be expected. Can’t wait to come back.

We had a group reservation for some excellent food, relaxed atmosphere and fab drinks-Volta did not disappoint!! We took the option of the Experience menu where you got a selection of plates to share and we had so much food (all was delicious and got eaten!) I don’t think I could fault it, I’ve never had a bad experience at Volta, not all the party had eaten there before but have all said they would definitely visit again! Drinks were great, ambience was lively but relaxed, we all had a great time! Thank you!

We’ve been regulars at Volta for around 8 years now, the food is always perfection. We have never had a meal that is less than delicious over all those years! Our go to local spot that is totally reliable with great staff & a great atmosphere Thanks as always

Absolutely amazing food, nothing at all that we didn’t like but we particularly loved the cod and the goats cheese, dips were just omg with the flat breads. Sat upstairs which was a bit quieter but still lovely atmosphere, not so noisy. Friendly service. Definitely be back again.

We love Volta. It’s our go-to place when meeting up with friends coming over to West Didsbury. It never disappoints in terms of quality and quantity of food, especially the lunchtime menu. The food always arrives at a sensible pace-not always the case with small plates and it’s delicious. The combination of dishes on the menu is well thought through, with variety yet complementary at the same time. I drank Factotum this time, but the wines are good too.

As always the food was amazing. Possible the best potatoes I’ve ever had and the hispy cabbage and pork were outstanding. It was all so good

Really enjoyed lunch at Volta, they do a 3 for £15 deal and their £17 whole sea bass was definitely worth it, so flavourful! Friendly staff and nice vibes inside too, will definitely go again.

Very pleased with food. Really tasty and unusual. We could not fault any dish and ordered some of them twice. Some staff could do with a smile, especially when service charged are added up automatically.

very accommodating i ran 15 mins late due to public transport but they were very courteous none the less, service & food were good, lovely place and location great to continue your day, loads of places to venture onto if you're not just there for lunch or dinner

This is by far the best tapas in the area. Small, cosy and friendly with amazing food. The portions are generous and made to perfection with just the right amount of choice so that you’re not overwhelmed with options. The staff are polite, friendly and helpful. Can’t fault it!

We visited for my mum's 85th birthday on a Tuesday lunchtime, the restaurant was quiet as we arrived just after opening but the service couldn't have been better. The waiter was really helpful explaining dishes we didn't know and the food was really excellent. Tasty, flavoursome dishes with lots of variety for different tastes, we'll definitely be back again.

Very cosy and atmospheric. Special offer on the food which was good . The scallops and flatbread were very good. Blood orange margheritas were excellent and the pinot noir was superb!
