Virgil’s food is great! This was our first time dining in but second time having Virgil’s. We were seated right away but was overlooked when it came to taking our order. We had to remind them that we hadn’t been waited on yet. We also had to remind them to bring out a few of our food items we ordered thru out our dining time. The waitress was very nice but seemed to be spread thin waiting tables. I recommend more waitresses to make the dining experience better. Other than that, food is really good.

The host and the wait staff were attentive. Crab rice had VERY little crab. The other dishes were good. I would return.

Ridge was really sweet and made sure our party had our needs met. He was attentive, knew the menu well, and made great suggestions for those of us who were new to this restaurant and location.

Excellent service. Friendly staff. Great food options and very tasty. The smothered chicken, crab rice and salmon was delicious. I will definitely be a regular customer.

I liked the decor.Music was nice. It is a cozy spot. Make reservations.We enjoyed the corn muffins and Gullah egg rolls. The she-crab Soup was salty.Entrees , fish and red rice,shrimp and grits crab rice were seasoned well. Our service was slow. The pace of the meals was slow. We expected meals are prepared to order it would take more time.There are no substitutions on the entrees. More attention to the details is needed. We had to request refills on beverages, items that were left off it our orders and it took too long to retrieve our bill. There is a 2 hour dining limit when there is a line waiting. I suggest the waiters sharpen their skills to accomplish a 2 hour dining experience. Overall it was a good vibe.

Virgil's in Conyers is a small quaint restaurant with a great vibe. The playlist was amazing, and the volume was just right. My party was able to converse with no problem hearing one another. The food was delightful, and our server (Chyna) was excellent! This is definitely a spot that's been put in the rotation.

Great neighborhood gem. We need more like this. Parking I great, menu is very good with choices. Food was delicious and portions are adequate I will be dinning here often . Staff are professional and friendly. Keep the good work up.

They seemed understaffed so the service was a bit slow. Food was okay but my friends grits smelled burnt but gratefully they took those off her ticket.

The food was mediocre at best. It didn't have the flavor nor presentation the online menu advertised. This was my first time at this location. I’ve only ever been to the one in College Park. The service was slow for only having about 6 tables total in the whole restaurant. I don’t think the server knew the menu that well.

We enjoyed our visit, and will definitely go back! China our waitress was great! I had the best salmon patties ever! You must get the sweet potato muffins. The four of us each ordered something different during their Sunday Brunch, and we each enjoyed our dishes.(Sweet potato waffles, cheese grits, chicken and Roger Wood sausage all GREAT!) All the comfort food of the low country, and even decorated with palms and Spanish moss. R&B music set the vibe as well. Nice cozy restaurant! Please note that they only have one bathroom. The bread pudding had too much alcohol in the sauce for me, but that was my only negative. You gotta check them out!

Simply outstanding!! My family and I met there to celebrate my brother’s birthday. We received the food quickly and it was absolutely delicious and the service was phenomenal!! The location is very small but cozy. Due to the size of the location and based on the number of reservations there may be a hour time limit. However, we made reservations, were seated right away and Ashley, our server was the “Best”! Highly recommended!!

We enjoyed the eggrolls, chicken wings and sammen balls on the happy hour menu. The $5 margaritas were good. The poke chop plate was flavorful. It was a pleasant surprise to enjoy the Conyers location. The food came out hot and in good timing. The staff was excellent, very responsive, available, and very professional. We will be back.

First time at Virgil's in Conyers. Awesome experience. Went with my wife and 13 year old son for Valentine's dinner. Service was superb and food was brought out quickly and was all served HOT. Everything tasted delicious. Will definitely be back.

Our server Amir was excellent! He made sure our experience was pleasant as he was attentive, kind, and accommodating. The hostess and manager were equally invested in making sure we were taken care of (didn’t happen to catch their names). The food was good and hot. I like less stems in my greens but that’s a preference along with some vinegar or chow chow as an offering would have been nice. The chicken was fresh and crispy. And that Arnold Palmer was slamming. Unlike other location the music choices were tasteful and its level appropriate. I will return again.

I’m disappointed, heard good things about Virgil’s. Food was mediocre very average. I didn’t finish my food & neither did anyone else in the restaurant. Service was average meaning I ordered but had no utensils, & many other little things I noticed. Waitress was nice& ambience was nice.

The food was delicious, service was impeccable, and the ambience and decor was a refreshing casual upscale vibe. I'm very particular and a bit snobbish with my food and this did not disappoint! The tables are a bit close together, so you can easily hear the conversations of others and the party that came after we were seated were a heavy set bunch that struggled to squeeze into the seating arrangement and we had to slide our table over to accommodate them. Another party came with an additional 1-2 people over their reservation which threw the hostess for a loop with the already limited space. If you have any needs, such as those described or any others requiring extra space such as a handicap, I would advise informing the restaurant prior to your arrival so they can plan accordingly for you. All in all, a great addition to the area and we look forward to going back!

The place is really cute. I liked the esthetics and parking was close and easy. We were greeted immediately. However the music was playing very low, so it was slightly awkward walking in, because we could here a lot of the conversations being had. The music needs to be turned up a notch to prevent that. Great music selection though. The waitress was nice but not not efficient. She didn't write down our order and then had to come back and ask what our order was 2 times. My appetizer muffins came out with my food because she forgot. My food came out really quickly but not my husbands...... so I ended up finishing 85% of my meal before his came. Really didn't like that. She did apologize for it multiple times. The food was REALLY good. Hot and very flavorful . Every was great, except for my bread pudding. It was SOAKED in rum, to the point that it overpowered the flavor. I ended up not even finishing it. That was the only disappointment with the food. Lastly it took 20 minutes for her to bring us the check after we asked for it. Overall because of the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff I would return.

I really enjoyed my experience at this location. The place is small, but with reservations there was no wait. It was clean and the waitresses were very attentive. I think they were short staffed but everyone stepped in to help. Oh, and most importantly, the food was fresh and delicious! I love this restaurant and will be back soon.

To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. First, the place is very small so seating was cramped. I ordered fried shrimp, my favorite, Gullah potatoes, and a salad. The shrimp was salty and fried to a too hard crisp. The Gullah potatoes were bland and contained almost no onions and green pepper. The salad presentation was beautiful but the chunks of salad greens underneath were difficult to cut and eat. Another diner ordered waffles which were overcooked and tasted dry. Regular butter for the waffles was not available We were not offered beverages other than water. For 6 shrimp, Gullah potatoes, side salad, and two muffins, the cost was $34. A 20% gratuity was added automatically even though there were only 4 people in our party. There was nothing outstanding about the meal. The expected Gullah taste was missing. To sum it up, this place is much ado about nothing.

My husband and I really enjoyed the ambience of the restaurant; it’s rare to find a restaurant playing music that doesn’t have the music way too loud. I’m really enjoyed the atmosphere, and the service was very friendly and attentive. we went at 3 PM on a Saturday and they were still serving brunch. It’s rare to find a restaurant with such extended brunch hours, which was a pleasant surprise even though we were disappointed at first that we weren’t ordering from their dinner menu that we had looked at before we went. The food was delicious, so good that we made a reservation for dinner this coming weekend as soon as we left the restaurant.
