From Naples to Santa Monica to Boise: the same passion for food.

A few words from the owner:

In 1969, I arrived in Los Angeles and I immediately noticed that the food served was much different tasting than the food that my family prepared in Italy. Upon questioning the restaurant owner regarding the non-traditional meals we were serving, I was told the food must be made according to American taste.

My commitment to you: I pledge to bring an authentic Italian dining experience, demonstrating the same passion I’ve had since the beginning.

The carbonara has been my favorite dish on the menu and now that Vincenzo isn’t doing the cooking it doesn’t taste the same. It’s still very tasty but the consistency is much thicker and pasty, which is not as good. Maybe new cook needs some pointers.

Waited at the door for 10 mins while the very ignorant wait staff muddled around the restaurant, finally sat, the staff treated us like we just stomped their new puppy to death, literally watched every other table receive every part of their service before us, every interaction was just so terribly awkward. I really don’t know what I did to these people but I’m truly sorry.

Excellent dining experience with friends who enjoyed it also. Food was excellent. The most of all I enjoy speaking with the owner it made my night.

we started with Frito Misto for the appetizer it was delicious the had the swordfish with veggies and the Lobster fettuccini specials. the swordfish was a thinner cut but big and was almost too much, the veggies were grilled and delicious. the Lobster fettuccini was delicious and my wife took half home for lunch.

By the far the best Italian food I have ever had. Fresh, authentic, and super flavorful. Hands down a must try for any Italian Food enthusiasts.

Some of the best Italian food outside of Italy--- Served promptly and in good spirit--- We were there early and enjoyed the quiet with only one other table occupied. As the room filled with people, the noise level increased and the service necessarily lacked some of the attention when there were so few of us. We shall return for the food!

We were pleasantly surprised by Vincenzo Trattoria! We brought our son here for an early birthday celebration and the owner, Vincenzo, made sure his staff created an extra special experience. The food was fantastic and tasted super authentic. The Spaghetti Vincenzo and Lasagna Bolognese were both to die for! We would definitely recommend this quaint little spot to anyone looking for authentic, delicious Italian food. We will be back to visit soon!

We went here for my mother's birthday. She loves Italian, I was excited to try this place based on so many good reviews. There were 5 of us and we all thought our meal were just not very good. The sauces on the pasta just taste like tomato sauce on noodles. There was no flavor or seasoning just bland food. The water guy was grumpy and refused to give extra parmesan cheese on certain dishes when asked saying there was enough cheese already. I had the fish special and it was just a small piece of fish with a dollop of cooked spinach. Very sad. I left hungry. I would avoid this place.

Vincenzo was a great host. He Greets, seats you and cooks for you! The Food is Fabulous! The service is Wonderful!!!! From out of town and would return to Boise just to go to Vincenzo Trattoria!!!!!!

Excellent on all fronts. Special menu on NYE was outstanding. Service was top notch. Perhaps the best swordfish ever tasted. Will definitely return! 👍🏽

We had a 730 seating on xmas eve. The owners / servers were grouchy, even irritable towards each other. Altho open on. Xmas eve, it felt like they couldn’t move us in/out fast enough. It also felt like the servers were carsalesman-ing certain specialty items which, to me…were awful (cold seafood salad and strago tiramisu). Huge disappointment. Ive been to vincenzo many times…this was NOT the usual dining experience….just sad that it happened on a special occasion. The upside, the entrees were delicious.

This place is great. Vincenzo greeted us at the door and sat us at our table. He also was our waiter; told us the specials; and took our wine order. Vincenzo makes you feel very welcome and has a great sense of humor. His specials were awesome - the chicken with the prosciutto was outstanding. Could not have had a better experience. Read some other reviews about the noise and we did not find it noisy at all. They could use some Italian music to complete the ambiance for sure, as the place had no background music. I would recommend this to anyone seeking great Italian food in a casual environment that wants to also support a small business and someone who makes authentic - made from scratch - Italian food. Oh, also the burrata with tomato and arugula appetizer was awesome as well. Highly recommend this place. So unassuming, given the location, but outstanding on all accounts. Would go again.

My partner and I truly enjoy Vincenzo Trattoria! It is a small Italian restaurant in a strip mall, but the food and owners make you feel welcomed. I have had their lasagna, Bolognese, and recently their spaghetti special with lobster. Everything is made fresh, and ingredients are brought in from Italy. They generally have specials; my partner orders them and is never disappointed. Do not expect Olive Garden, this is authentic Italian food focused on quality instead of volume.

Vincenzo was a gracious host and offered some of the best tasting Italian food I've ever had (and I've spent time in Italy). Bread was amazing and pasta left me & my family satisfied and full. Thank you!

This is the second time we visited Vincenzo. The food is excellent! My only complaint is that I felt a little rushed to order my main course.

This is a wonderful place to eat at! Everything is fresh and everyone is very friendly and accommodating! They have limited hours but it makes total sense as to why! We definitely will be making it one of our favorite spots to eat.

Fantastic food and staff. Owner was there working the room making sure everyone enjoying themself. It’s in a strip mall outside of downtown. Will absolutely go back when we are in town. Only feedback would be that it looks closed from the outside. The Uber driver waited to make sure we got in. Once inside very bright and welcoming.
