We have always enjoyed meeting our friends at Vincent’s. The food is always very good! However at this last visit we discovered that the restaurant cancelled their byob policy, which was certainly disappointing. Adding to insult was the fact that we recognized bottles of wine on the wine list that were significantly marked up over their retail cost. So the question is - does a great menu outweigh our decision to enjoy an evening out with friends looking to have a glass or 2 of wine with the meal? The answer will be no in the future as the value for this meal no longer matches what we are willing to pay. There are plenty of places with great food AND either byob or a reasonable wine list to go to.

Vincents is a hidden gem, owned and operated by Vincent himself - his food is unbelievably tasty and has a great menu. They are very friendly there and the service is top notch. super value as well, an absolute fantastic place to eat for any occasion.

Food was delicious, service was pleasant but a bit slow as they were packed along with a large party and our sever forgot our apps which he admitted. They did offer a comp app for the trouble which was nice. We were not aware until til we arrived they no longer offered BYOB and this apparently changed just a couple months ago. This should be much more prominently displayed on opentable and more upfront on their website (you have to scroll all the way down to find it). Most people didn’t know as we watched everyone, including us, walk out with unopened wine bags and bottles. They also include an additional 4% service charge for increased costs (regardless of payment type) which is also not prominently displayed on their site (and of course, a higher charge if paying by card). These are posted on their entrance door but not very big and if you’re not expecting it, I can see why it would be missed there as well. In total we spent about $100 more between drinks and the service charge than we had anticipated. We enjoyed the meal very much, but these unexpected costs put a bit of a damper on the overall experience.

Fantastic restaurant!!! The food is 5 star, as well as the service! Highly recommend! Best food - has become one of my favorite places to eat!!

This is not the first time we have dined at Vincents. The food is very good but service was ok. Vincent has taken away being BYOB and serves only wine and beer. This is very disappointing. He is also charging a 4% charge for using a credit card. We did use a Visa card which should have been only a3% charge. This restaurant has been warm friendly and a great neighborhood place to eat with friends. Sorry to see the BYOB gone and most of all being charged a 4% fee for using a credit card. I don’t think we will be back. If I have to pay for a drink I would rather go to a restaurant that serves more than just wine and beer. Sorry Vincent. You ruined a good thing.

Unfortunately, this will be our last time going to Vincent’s. My husband and I arrived 10 minutes early for our 5:30pm reservation. We were seated immediately. It was not busy, there were only four other tables with seated diners. We sat for 15 minutes and someone came to remove the extra glasses and plates from our table of four, since we were only two dining. Another couple was seated next to us, 15 minutes after we were seated. Five minutes after that couples was seated, the waitress ignores us, walks right past us and gives the specials to the couple who were seated 15 minutes after us! It’s well over 20-25 minutes since we’ve been seated and no one acknowledged us! We were left neglected for another 10 minutes without being offered a simple glass of water. We had enough of the rudeness and we got up and walked out. We told the girl at the front how rude the service was, but she didn’t seem to care. It’s beyond ridiculous behavior, especially during a slower evening. This is not the first time service has flat out sucked at Vincent’s. They have good food, so it’s a shame they can’t match it with their service. We’ve been regular diners at Vincent’s, but we always have to wait ridiculous lengths of time to order. Even after ordering, it could be another hour before you see an appetizer on a busy night. Sadly, we will not be going back there. Thank you.
