                                                                                  Had a nice time, made my reservation for 1:45pm and was told kitchen was closing at 1:45pm so we were rushed into ordering. Don’t know why they would book a resi when the kitchen was closing. Overall was a good time and nice experience. Would definitely go back, beautiful atmosphere

                                                                                  I was disappointed with breakfast at Villard. Despite the room being gorgeous and the ambience sublime, the food was merely average and the service was sorely lacking. There were several servers available at all times, but they spent their time setting tables, milling about or chatting with each other. Every time I needed something I had to call across the restaurant to get anybody's attention. There were only 3 other tables in the restaurant, but our breakfast took 40 minutes to arrive. When it did, I received scrambled eggs instead of the over hard eggs I had ordered and was served mulit-grain rather than the sourdough I had requested. The toast wasn't buttered and I had to ask for butter. My dining partner and I ordered orange juice, but I had to ask again for mine when only one arrived. Fortunately, we were served a carafe of coffee, so we would pour this for ourselves. The service was so bad that I felt as if the servers were avoiding our table. When a simple breakfast for two costs in excess of $100, poor service like this is both unexpected and unacceptable. It's such a shame as the dining room is so exquisite. A gratuity of 20 percent was automatically added to the bill, which perhaps explains why the servers don't bother putting any effort into their customer service.

                                                                                  Beautiful historic room - food presented elegantly with fresh ingredients. Staff is very attentive. Ate there three mornings and enjoyed every meal.

                                                                                  It's a beautiful room food ok bur for the price disappointing and the service the same. I feel because they add 20% automatically the staff could care less. For such an elegant hotel you get way better service and food at the Pomme bakery!

                                                                                  New York LOtte Hotel breakfast was extremely OVERPRICED, food was OK, poor presentation, Waitstaff VERY HELPFUL. 2 Coffee, 1 quiche huge portion with a little salad , Eggs bendict with watered down Hollandaise sauce + a few potatoes, Linen napkins on a wood table . Interior of the old Helmsley Palace in NYC is beautful wood carved.. COST $110.00 ..inc 20 percent tip!

                                                                                  Brunch is a special treat here. It was very expensive, but the service was excellent (especially for a hotel breakfast, where many other fine hotels offer slow and spotty service) and the dining room decor is stunning with carved wood paneling, frescoes and gilt trim. It really makes one feel as if you're dining in a palace!

                                                                                  Villard Restaurant is trully a feast for the eyes of those interested in historic preservation, historic interiors and NYC illustrious Gilded Age life and history. As someone who has restored 4 Victorian houses to their former Glory in the past 36 years, I can tell you, it is not be missed. This has got to be one of the most elegant breakfasts in town, the food was outstanding and the service that Melissa provided us was top notch (we found out that she was part of the team that opened the previous incarnation of Villard, Guilt Restaurant, which earned a coveted 2 Michelin stars when it operated in the house. Some people may find it a bit pricey for breakfast; but, in my humble opinion, WELL WORTH IT! Jorge Yajure
