Nice spot near Carlsbad. Traditional Italian. Not overwhelming good but perfectly fine. Good mid spot for meeting between OC and SD. Kind of pricy but you are the paying for the view.

My 1st experience at this location was AMAZING from being seated till we exited! The valet was kind and curtious, the hostess was friendly and prompt and well the service for lunch was as excellent as the food tasted! Our server was very professional, provided great insight to the dishes and made us feel very welcome! Thank you to all!

We dine at Vigilucci's for special occasions because of the quality of food, service, ambiance, and the unrivaled total dining experience. Last evening, we celebrated my wife's retirement and we not disappointed by any aspect of the dining experience. Our waiter was very personable, exceptionally knowledgeable, very attentive while not being intrusive. The quality of the food is truly amazing, prepared with the utmost care and served with impeccable professionalism. We offer our highest recommendation for this fine dining establishment and will definitely return often!

If you are staying anywhere near Carlsbad, you MUST go to Vigilucci’s! Even if you have to drive a bit to get there! Awesome service and amazing food! Very accommodating for a garlic allergy!

It had been recommended by our friends and it did not disappoint. We had dinner just at sunset. Perfect time to dine and the food was fabulous. Servers are experienced and take care of the customers. My wife and I would highly recommend.

We were celebrating a wedding anniversary and were goven amazing seats to view the sunset. Our server was extremely friendly as were all of the other staff members assisting him. They brought a tasty cannoli with a candle in it as an Anny gift- a special touch!

In town for one night and looked for a place to eat last minute. Made a last second reservation, got lucky with a spot in valet parking and were seated on patio at 6:30, just in time for the sunset. There were heaters around but a sweater was needed, fortunately we had those. A wonderful waitress took our water and drinks orders, gave us the specials and took our orders. Food came quickly and was delicious - crab cakes were excellent, tops. Main courses chicken parm and the cioppino were very very good with huge portions. We had to limit ourselves to gelato for desert. All in all our expectations were exceeded on all fronts and unreservedly recommend this. I'm not much for American style Italian vs. Italian Italian but this restaurant managed to promote what often are middle of the road dishes to 'fine' dining and provided first class service in all aspects of the meal. Kudos. To top it off, we had a spectacular view of the sunset.

Beautiful view of the ocean. The food was delicious and service was great. Use the valet parking. Attendant is a magician on parking cars. And you do not have to hassle with finding a parking spot.

Sitting outside had motorcycle and muscle car motor noise. Signal light at the corner means those vehicles take off fast. Very noisy. I would choose to sit inside next time. Good food, service, menu variety.

Daniela was our waitress and she was absolutely incredible! She was prompt and not pushy and she gave GREAT suggestions on food choices! She is the main reason I will continue coming back to this restaurant! The food was also delightful and delicious!

I’ve always loved going to Vigiluccis because, although pricey, the food had always been well prepared and the service highly professional. Every experience has been completely enjoyable - until last night…. We made a reservation for 7:30, arrived on time and found our table was not ready and by 8:00 the party before us was still not making moves to leave. This was not really thei fault of the restaurant and I understand that Saturday nights can be challenging. But we are generally flexible and said we would be happy to eat at one of the high tops in the bar. All was well - albeit a little cramped, until mid-meal when the door to the outer patio was suddenly propped and left open. The temperature outside was about 57 and raining so a cold breeze began blowing directly on us. We asked that the door be closed again - it wad closed when we sat down - and were told that it couldn’t be closed because the waitstaff needed to have the door open so they could bring plates in and out. Although we tried after that to enjoy our meal, and we put on all of the jackets and outerwear we had, we were uncomfortably cold for the rest of the meal, that door was never closed, even when the patio outside was empty, the heaters outside were off, and no one moving through that door most of the time. It was made completely clear to us that no one was concerned with the fact that we were all uncomfortable. Although we asked more than once, no one made any attempt to find a solution to help us. This is the sort of experience that has a lasting effect. We went out for an evening with friends and certainly didn’t expect to spend $500 to sit shivering in the breeze. I have eaten at this restaurant about a dozen times during the past couple of years but the magic is gone and last night will be my last.

The food was absolutely amazing although a little pricey for the filet mignon at $95. Our waiter was fabulous and we had a really lovely booth table. Great place to celebrate with a nice meal.

Beautiful location, service was amazing. Presentation of the food - wow. However both my chicken and pasta were only so-so. Would definitely go back and try other dishes. We were there on a Monday evening, and it was not extremely busy.
