our waitress was amazing. The entire staff was gracious. It was a bit busy because it was after Tulane’s graduation, but the food was good and prepared quickly.

Vessel is one of the most gorgeous restaurants we have ever been to and the food and drink were truly amazing! Everything we ate was so delicious and the service was excellent! Vessel needs to be on everybody’s list of go to restaurants! We will be back very soon!

I saw the chef and manager on Fox8 morning show last week and we decided to try Vessel. It met all our expectations and more. I don’t even know where to start because everything was fantastic. We started with the fish dip and calamari and for our main dishes we had chicken and market fish. For dessert we had the crème brûlée and chocolate cake. The flavors of each dish were perfect. I am going to recommend Vessel to my friends.

My girlfriend and I went were invited to Vessel by her parents for Mother's Day and it was so fantastic we went again tonight. Everything we had was so delicious! The crab au gratin and pork belly appetizers were fantastic, and the entrees, scallops/ risotto and pork porter house were superb. We are fans of craft cocktails, and they were perfect. The serviced as also very good. Vessel should be on everyone's list of places to go. The space is truly one of the most beautiful in New Orleans. We will be back very soon.

Mother's day menu with limited choices, but food was delicious. Service seemed very unorganized although house wasn't that full. Small portions for meal, but absurdly large desert. Give me more salad or sides and less cheesecake.

Wait staff seemed overwhelmed. Food orders took longer than expected. Our server continued to apologize for delays. Meal portions were small. My dessert (cheese cake) was larger that my main course.

Wonderful place for a family meal. We ate on the patio, which is very nice. The food, service, and ambiance were great. The only negative was the flies were annoying and the caterpillars scared my granddaughter.

Unfortunately, our experience was one of our worst dining experiences ever. First, let me say that the restaurant itself was beautiful and the food that we did eat was excellent. That being said, I will give you a quick rundown of our experience. Keep in mind that this is a small restaurant and the day we were there, it was a fixed menu so it should have been pretty easy. -We sat for about 30 minutes before we were acknowledged by a server. This was only after we requested that she be called over. We saw her talking to staff and leaning on a wall for a lot of this time. -When Dawn our server took our order, she literally took the order of four of us and just ignored our 5th person. She went to take the order from another table before we were able to get her back to finish with us. -When we got the food, two of our orders were totally wrong and we had already been there for 1.5 hrs. We asked her to to send it back because it took about 45 minutes to get the first orders and we didn't want to spend another 45 waiting. -The 3 of us who did eat never received our dessert. We had to request it and told them we were eating it there. They brought it in to go bags. We were catching a taxi and going to a show so we couldn't eat it on the go but by that time we were so mad! We mentioned it to the server and she said they were taking the desserts off the cost. -When we got outside we looked in the bag and they only have us 2 of the 3 desserts. We looked at the bill and they did not take the desserts off. So we went back because we paid for three, they should at least given us three. -The manager was involved in multiple steps of this process but in all honesty, her customer service was awful too. -We didn't realize until the next day that they charged us for brussel prouts but never gave them to us. The experience was awful and it was Mother's Day. My guess is that the bill will be wrong once we see it.

Mother’s Day: Food was great, price for what you received was iffy, especially for the kids. But I knew the price going in, and I kind of expected there to be a value issue ahead of time. 2 pieces of back, eggs, a biscuit, and grits for $25. The big problem was the service. The guy was EXTREMELY nice, but very inattentive. Didn’t greet us for about 10 minutes. When he did, the first question was, has someone said hello yet? To which we said no, and he walked away to another table for another 3 minutes before coming back. When he began taking our drink orders, he had issues with his little machine that he types in the order. 1 mimosa and 1 Diet Coke took about 10 minutes just to be ordered because he realized he messed up a previous check and had to go back to his last table to refund money or something. He could’ve still done that, after just getting our order and maybe just telling someone to get our drinks whilst he figured out the problem. Finally took our order about 10 minutes later, but got the first course wrong because he wasn’t listening to us when we made the order. Between course 1 and 2, we waited probably 20-25 minutes after completing our 1st course. Way too long. I get that it was Mother’s Day, but there was a pre fixe menu for a reason. There was only 2 entrees you could’ve chosen from. When paying $65+ per adult, you expect that servers aren’t wearing flashy Jordan’s, you might expect manager’s to walk around and greet guests. Even when we walked in, not a hello, not a Happy Mother’s Day. One girl was on the phone and couldn’t look up, the other was crossing over here typing on the computer - completely ignoring us. Another side note: a server from another section walked around with a dustpan and broom - while I was at the restroom, she swept a table next to ours, which is fine, but when I returned her dustpan was just leaning against my seat. Beware: food is great, value might be lacking to some, inattentive staff is this place’s main issue.

We attended the Mother’s Day Brunch. The amount of food versus the price didn’t seem fair. The serving size was way too small. We requested outdoor seating, but there were way too many flies. I had a bad experience at Vessel a long time ago, and tried them again years later for the brunch. I was still disappointed. The server was extremely sweet, but the amount of food we had for the price was not worth it. Also, they need to consider having outdoor fans to control the flies.

The worst service I have ever had in my entire life. I was a waitress and bartender for many years so I usually can let things slide. It took us 30 min to get a can of Diet Coke. I am not exaggerating. The waitress didn’t even check on us or even say hi for that matter. She forgot 1 entire meal. Said someone was going to check on it and never came back. Food was all cold when we did get it. We talked to the manager and she said she would see what was going on and NEVER came back to our table. They then tried to charge us for the entire check!! It was a pre fixed menu so it came with desserts. We didn’t even get the desserts and they still tried to charge the entire meal. Reminder we still never got one at all. They offered to still get us desserts and missing meal. At that point 1hr and 20 min. later we just wanted to leave. It was literally the worst experience ever! It ruined our 1st Mother’s Day brunch as a family. I do not recommend!

The server was amazing. Giving us great local tips, and striking up a lovely conversation for Saturday morning. Our Boudin and Bacon were good, but unfortunately the biscuit was hard and cold (more like a scone) and then grits were not creamy. My husband's burger was good. This is our third trip to Vessel in the last 2 years, from out of town, and unfortunately this one did not meet expectations. Such a lovely restaurant, just not the quality we had experienced in the past.

Foods concept: restaurant in a church. Food was prepared well. Waitress was courteous and energetic; however, she had too many large party tables to work. Hardest part of the night was some kinda of communication problem with the bar. Mumford orders, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic were either made incorrectly or were slow in getting to the table (I had to ask 3 times for a canned soda to be brought to the table). Overall, it was an enjoyable experience.

My husband waited 25 minutes for a beer. I notified the waitress several times that he had not received his beer. She replied, “yeah I’m still waiting on that beer too” she never did serves him the beer. One of the nice guys on her team finally brought my husband his beer. We ordered 4 deserts. Only one desert was served and I was charged for the other three! I will never be a returning customer. Food was ok. Service was terrible!

The place is beautiful! It definitely has a very nice brunch ambiance and jazz music playing (not live but still great). The service was great and the food was AMAZING!

The food was outstanding however the service was just OK. The service providers were very sweet but either very new, not well trained or incompetent. We were literally ignored after we ordered drinks & appetizer. We watched later arriving patrons get their order taken while we watched. We finally stopped our waitperson and said we would like to order our dinner. She forgot about us. So weird. For the price I would expect much better.

Let me start by saying how much I LOVE Vessel. I rave about it to anyone who will listen, I dream about the scallop risotto when I have to go long stretches without a trip to NOLA. I brought a party of 6 total people to enjoy a meal at Vessel, and we unfortunately had the worst service I've experienced at a restaurant in some time. The restaurant was not busy, but our server seemed like she would rather be anywhere else than at work. We did our best to be outgoing and friendly to see if our server would feel more at ease, but it was to no avail. While I understand Jazz Fest week must be a busy time, it definitely felt like she went out of her way to not approach us at all in order to spend time talking to other servers and hiding in the bathroom hallway to text. Three party members received cold food, one party member had their food forgotten. We weren't asked for another round of drinks, or checked on after receiving our food. We had to track our server down for dessert, and she seemed frustrated that we wanted a dessert course. After physically searching for our server, it took over 30 minutes to receive our check. It was a disappointing experience to say the least. Hopefully, it was just a bad day, we all have them. I hope to return to NOLA next year, and hope our group will give Vessel another try.

Another amazing dinner at Vessel. I brought a friend who joined me for Jazz Fest and she was so impressed. She could not stop taking pictures of the building! The craft cocktails were the best I have had in New Orleans and the food was outstanding. We started with the crab au gratin and cheese board and for our main dishes we had the turmeric roasted chicken breast and the filet mignon were so yummy. Key lime pie was the dessert we shared and we loved it. I would recommend these dishes to everyone. I have not had brunch at Vessel and we made a plan to stop on Saturday before Jazz Fest.

Unfortunately they had some "disturbance in the kitchen" as Larry David would say. The manager had to let two people go on the spot and the rest were trying to make do. They were gracious in explaining but it made for a disappointing experience for us when we're looking forward to a nice dinner here

Yikes! The only thing the waitress delivered was an excuse as to why her bad service wasn't her falut. We loved our dinner at Mandinas.

Loved sitting outside on a windy night. Food, service and setting was lovely for a big group dinner.
