This is a unique atmosphere with incredible food that is the best in LA. You enter an unmark door into a dimly lit room with a feel of a private speak easy club. The host and servers are more like tour guides explaining the history and design of this amazing place. The back of the room has a cozy home library decor that makes you feel comfortable . There are live soft jazz music performances that enhances the ambiance. The food is incredible and you can’t go wrong with any of the entrees. The duck is my personal favorite. I still remember that dish weeks later. Verse is a special place that must be on everyone’s must try list.

The vibe was great. Service was ok. A lot of drama in the food presentation but overall taste was ok. I think some editing is needed. My favorite part was the bread and oyster starters and then the olive oil cake. The entrees, and we got a lot of different ones to try, were ok. Price point… steep but still worth driving to and trying out.

Been here about five times and everytime has been great but this time they had booked too many reservations. So we had to wait outside. Till a table could open up even though we had reservations. Than they offered us a high table so we agreed but they failed to mention it was right at the front door. So the whole night was just everyone walking into us bumping our chairs and tables. The door kept opening and closing with guests arriving and crowding our table. If you guys want to go here never ever sit by the door it’s literally the worst seat in the whole restaurant. It annoyed me so much to the point I’ll probably never be back.

Verse is undeniably one of the best restaurants in Los Angeles. The food, the service, the vibe...it's all there. Great people-watching. Top-notch music. And a state-of-the-art acoustic set-up that ensures that no matter how many people fill the room, you never have to shout to the others at your table. The mushroom linguini and the milk buns are two of my favorites. Five stars all the way!
