We stumbled on this lovely pub by pure accident. What a lovely location which added to the great food and service experience.

Went for Sunday lunch having not been before. It was lovely place and while it's not the restaurant's control parking was a bit of a challenge. The food was very good and the delightful gesture the staff accommodated my partner in modifying his fish meal. The roast was very good quality and the portions were very generous. All in all a lovely dining experience.

The Green Man has fairly recently re-opened after a major refurb and its looking great, retaining its original features but also incorporating new and modern elements. We had lunch for two. The menu was fairly limited and one of the mains we had pre-chosen on the web site was not available (there was an alternative but we didnt like it), however, the food was fabulous, beautifully cooked and well presented. It was lovely and restful in the dining room, just a gentle buzz of conversation and no intrusive music. Service was good.

The pub had a garden party going on and the atmosphere was brilliant, food was great, and all the staff were welcoming and really friendly … plenty of seating and great choice of drinks.

I last went for lunch in January and the food was a 10 Unfortunately not as good now I would rate it a 7 Will be looking for another pub for a Sunday lunch

Really like this place. Have been 3 times now. The food is very good quality, freshly prepared and tasty. Period setting, nice ambience. Service was welcoming, friendly and efficient.

We have been looking for a good pub for Sunday roast and this was a great meal. The service however was by far the best part of the experience.
