Velvet is a hyperseasonal cocktail bar (no food) in Berlin Neukölln. It’s weekly changing cocktail menu reflects the flavours available from Berlin’s surrounding at the time of the year and has earned the bar the title "Bar of the Year Germany" twice by Mixology Magazine & No.77 in the World's 50 Best Bars Top 100 in 2023. After harvest on their regular foraging trips in and around Berlin, the team turns seasonal plants into liquids on the weekly Lab Day. The bar focusses on light spirits aswell as sake, madeira, sherry or dry vermouths, to leave space for the natural plant flavours to shine.

Very knowledgeable bar team with great communication and education on their program and the cocktails. Not to mention the cocktails were well thought out and delightful. The Hazelnut and Lavender cocktails were very impressive and will be in my mind for a while. I will return next time I am in Berlin for sure.

We had a lovely table in the back room and it was perfect for our group of 6. We sat comfortably and chatted for hours.

Loved the cocktails, the bar, the vibe, and the staff! Really appreciated being able to reserve a few seats, made the evening a memorable event!

Great place! I was not there for the first time, it certainly wont be the last. Lovely atmosphere and cocktails. I haven't tried the food tho thus 3 stars. Keep up the good work guys! Cheers

The cocktail experience was immensely exciting, creative and original. The staff is extremely pleasant, and you can tell that they love doing what they do. Would definately recommend.

Newly chose as 'one of the best bars in the world', people that have been going here for years always knew that. This may be the best cocktail bar in Berlin, certainly one of the best in the world. Innovative, fun, great service and, through their seasonal foraging, SO unique. A must stop, always.

We were a table of 10 and 2 of my friends had their drinks on the table 40 minutes after they order it.

That was the really great experience! Velvet bar are looking for the local German botanicals to create the fabulous flavour combinations for their cocktails. Every week is menu change according to the seasonal products such as grass, fruits and vegetables are grown in the German area. I was kindly provided by the bar-woman through the menu and after was killed by the flavours (in a good way)! Thank you! Velvet absolutely hited my heart and taste buds!
