We are an authentic Italian wine café, proud to offer quality Sicilian wines and spuntini appetisers across the UK. In the spring of 2013 something extraordinary happened. Two Italian guys in their twenties met in Manchester to find out that they shared a unique passion; they both loved and missed, the Italian Aperitivo, the ritual of drinking, nibbling and relaxing after work. A daily occasion to share moments of happiness with friends and family. By the end of that very same year, Veeno was born: a place where everyone could enjoy great wines and the most authentic Spuntini – platters of meats, cheeses and other appetisers imported from strictly selected Italian producers. Our wines come from Caruso & Minini, our family vineyard back in Sicily where great-grandfather Antonio planted the first vines in the XIX century. Since then, we have been working hard to ensure that our quality and tradition could flow from the bottles to the glass in your hand.

Thus a fabulous small venue. Staff are super efficient and friendly. Food is absolutely divine. It feels as if you get the best of everything from bread and olives meat and cheeses and even the lovely berries displayed on the dishes! Would really recommend this place to all!

Food was great. The manager was very friendly and helped us choose food and modified dishes for us. I left some belongings and I was given phonecall letting me know. This restaurant gives you a feeling of eating Italian food in Italy (authentic) using quality ingredients. Great value for money too. Looking forward to my next visit.

Great wine and tasty platters. Very lively atmosphere on a Saturday night. Recommend booking an experience in advance: we didn’t do this but will do so next time! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, we will definitely be back.

We had received an Virgin Experience Sicilian Wine Tasting as a present. This consisted of Tasting 2 white 1 Rose 2 Reds and a Dessert wine accompanied by an excellent sharing board of meats,cheeses, bread, olives and dips. Vincenzo did an excellent job taking us through the different wines and which items on the sharing boards would enhance the taste. Also included was Tiramisu with the Dessert Wine. We normally don’t enjoy a Tiramisu but this one was excellent. A very enjoyable couple of hours.

Food was good but was let down by the service. I understand they were short staffed but this unfortunately spoilt the evening for us as we had to cut the evening short due to the lack of service.

Service was fine, although when we entered it was relatively quiet. Portions, especially main course were small. We normally do not order sweets but were still hungry so asked for sweet menu. We were told that the kitchen was too busy! When paying bill, we were told abruptly that they did not accept cash. No apology given. We were not advised of this policy at any point beforehand.

Despite having confirmed our booking the day before hand the restaurant was undergoing a refit and gave 5 minutes notice of this news (which we didn’t receive ) and 4 of us turned up for our booking on a Friday evening to be told the restaurant was closed ! Fortunately we got in to a super place elsewhere Have been to veeno twice before and enjoyed both visits but very disappointed with the service /lack of information ! Won’t be rushing back and neither will the other 3 ladies !

Booked for the wine tasting experience. All the food was on a board which was literally 5 items which any household could put together very easily from any supermarket. There was no thought process in the food matching the wines. We where given 2 wines each at a time no explanation about the wine until we asked which then wasn't clear. We opted out of the last 2 wines and deserts which gives you the idea of our experience. And a bill at the end of nearly £100 we felt ripped off.

Absolutely delicious food and wonderful cocktails, myself, husband and 3 girls loved it. Lovely ambiance and very friendly attentive service. The only thing that puzzled me a bit was getting asked for identification for my girls before we had even ordered anything and obviously we weren’t going to order alcohol for my 14 and 13 year old. Apart from that it really was wonderful thank you.

Good food and service. Fantastic wines so only fault was they ran out of their headline dessert early evening on a busy Saturday. We all enjoyed it though.

Lovely pizzas and wine. Service was okay, but the pizzas all arrived at different times, which was a tiny bit irritating because we were in a party of six. The noise level was very high, but overall, it was a fairly refined Italian experience.

Enjoyed our meal but only found out that our booking was for 90 minutes when we asked for a sweet and coffee. No time to do that. That info needs to be overt on the booking system.

Had a great night here. All the wine and food was amazing. The servers were all super nice and helpful but Kat really stood out. She helped us with wine and food pairing and made our night hugely enjoyable. Will recommend to friends and family and will return in the future!

We booked a table via Open Table on Saturday for 19:30 to be then told that they no longer take or receive bookings from Open Table. They didn't have any room for us so we had to leave as soon as we arrived. Very disappointing. Please sort this out with the restaurant so it dosnt happen to other people!!!

The food is fine, but nothing extraordinary. I did the reservation for 9 and as soon as they arrived they told us where closing the kitchen. If they close the kitchen at that time, why they have tables available? I also asked for a surprise cake that never arrived and no one knew anything.
