Welcome to Van Winkle, we look forward to serving you. We’ve sampled food all across the USA but our heart fell in love with the taste of classic BBQ and Grill dishes from Kentucky. Comfort food for the soul and incredible flavours.

Serving the largest selection of Bourbons in Scotland along with an awesome array of beers, wine and cocktails.

All our food is locally sourced, using on the highest quality products and prepared fresh, in house at Van Winkle.

We are in a great location, opposite the Barrowland Ballroom. Easy access from the City Centre or the East End.

Don't forget our hidden gem, The Jack Daniels Beer Garden, a great spot to enjoy a beer or two.

Love our visit to the Barra restaurant before our gig at the Barrowland’s! This was the 3rd time here & it did not disappoint. Food was great, large portions! & the staff were friendly & welcoming. Can’t wait to come back.

Great food and service but the place was really cold. Started to warm up a bit as we were leaving. Will definitely be back to try the wings, they looked amazing.

We dined on a weekday so understandably the restaurant was quiet but a bit too cold for comfort. Our server was lovely, helpful and fast. Food was nice and fresh. Upon reflection of our receipt we didn't receive 25% off our food as promised during January/February so this was slightly disappointing. Overall might be a better visit during the weekend when more people present to improve the ambience and the heat!

Our server was Erin I believe who was friendly! Was expecting the restaurant to be a bit busier so the ambiance was different than expected but the music was good and the food was amazing! My partner and I had a good time and we definitely will be back another time to enjoy another great experience :) thank you so much

Booked the wing Wednesday for 6:30pm. Arrived at 6:25 pm and placed order at 6:30pm. Drinks arrived shortly after. First portion of wings arrived at 19:15. I asked to place the next order even though I hadn't finished the wings as it took 45 minutes to get the first portion. Waiter came over at half past to take away the plates and asked if we wanted to place the next order of wings. We told them that someone had already done this however we were told in fact that they had not. So an hour in for 6 wings each for myself and partner. Asked to be charged for what we have eaten and cut out losses. They did take 10% off as an apology. The waiter was apologetic but having one cook is a bit mental especially when just eat orders took the priority over diners. Cannot recommend. All you can eat wing Wednesday is not accurate if it takes 45 minutes for a portion to arrive, then not ordering more knowing it would take as long as it did. Also the place was very cold, we couldn't take our jacket off and I had to get a blanket from the car for my dog.

Service was amazing. Staff were on the ball even though it was bust on arrival. They were friendly and attentive. Food was amazing, drinks were good. Nice cocktails. Only downfall was it was cold inside but remembering its an older building in the gallowgate of let it slide. Will definitely visit again.

Place was freezing. If a few of your customers have coats on its maybe time to crank the heating up a bit. The food was ok but portion sizes small.

Was really cold had to keep jackets on. Ladies toilets are awful. Place needs an upgrade. Foodand drinks are good and staff are lovely. Ideal place to go when in area for a gig. But please sort out the heating and toilets

Service was good but food arrived slowly and was just above par. Staff friendly and apologetic for slow food delivery. Food was compt at 50% due to this. Liked the ambience and Red Bull sports on loop. Good piped cider and my pulled pork burger was ace, pulled pork sandwich and chicken and waffles were very average, good onion rings. Would like to go back to try ribs and wings and give it another crack. Good staff saved the day !!!

Nice meal, unfortunately one member of the party had to send food back twice as it was cold. Staff were lovely and they did take meal of the bill which was a nice. Would definitely go back

Was in tonight before a gig in the barrowlands. Food was great and really reasonably priced. Staff and general service was brilliant. Was a little bit cold when we first arrived but as it got busier the place warmed up. Was really busy before we left so definitely recommend booking a table in advance! We will definitely be back.

The music they play is tailored to whatever is on at Barrowland. This provided the perfect atmosphere for us as it got us hyped for the gig. The food is diner style but well above diner quality. I have no idea how they made somethingn as simple as chicken tenders so good. The staff are all lovely. I don't know our server's name but they were very helpful, even taking a photo for us. All of them are smiley and friendly. The absolute best.

Staff were fantastic,friendy and helpful,we only had small plates which was more than enough and tasty.The restaurant was clean and comfortable and also noticed it was dog friendly so will definitely return.Thanks to the lovely staff who are a credit to van winkle.

What a fantastic place, great food and very friendly, I highly recommend booking a table here any time. Outside seating is poor however, and not great in the winter months, but it was buzzing indoors and very helpful and friendly waiters.
