Outstanding service. Delicious food and amazing view. An absolutely perfect brunch. Our server Cole, made the birthday girl feel extra special with treats before and after our meal. They also went above and beyond to accommodate one disabled person. We will be returning very soon! Well done, VAGA!!!

Our table wasn’t ready when we arrived for our reservation, so we went to the bar for a drink. The bartender forgot our order, and then We waited over 15 minutes to get our order while the drinks sat at the end of the bar waiting to be delivered. Our reservation was at 7:45 and we were finally sat at 8:10. We all had fish, and everyone single one was completely overcooked. Even our Parker rolls were cold and stale. Very underwhelming, disappointing and over priced experience. Such a shame considering how beautiful the location is

Superb service and cuisine. Patio dining offers a stunning view of the coastline and is quieter than the main dining room.

The food was good, view amazing. Everyone was kind but you couldn’t get service. They seemed understaffed and overwhelmed. Not sure being ignored was worth the money.

We had dinner on the terrace - there was a wedding reception below us that was a bit noisy. Great food. Service was good, could have been a little more attentive.

Went for late lunch. Menu somewhat limited but what we had was excellent (market fish - sea bass, and carne asada omelet). Wonderful ocean views, very relaxed atmosphere, excellent service, very good value. Will return for dinner.

While it’s a beautiful place … that we were very excited about… team was friendly but just not enough servers… service was slow..food was ok.. not to the level as the hotels beautiful impression. We were a group of 10.

I took my husband here for his birthday for spectacular views and delicious options. Everything was delightful with the service attentive and a sparkling candle on a surprise birthday treat. Perfect evening!

Loved the food. Lobster salad was amazing. Service was friendly, slightly slower, maybe because they were transitioning into the dinner menu. Try their brunch, absolutely fantastic!

One of the best dinner experiences imaginable! The food was next level, service impeccable and ambiance as good as it gets. We were spoiled from start to finish. Thank you and cannot wait to return. Hats off to the entire team! The prawn special and Strawberry Fields Forever dessert....wow!

The food is outstanding! Our drinks before dinner were excellent. We saw a beautiful sunset over the ocean waters. The waiters were polite and charming. I would definitely go back for a visit.

Store bought tortillas for two different dishes! There aren’t that many choices on the menu so hard to avoid them. Presentation is lacking. However the short ribs were very tender and large. Too bad there weren’t freshly made tortillas to go with them.

Very happy with our reservation. We arrived an hour early and enjoyed the excellent bar with an ocean view . At our reservation time we were seated at a premier table, also with an ocean view. Our servers were fast and courteous and our meals were as exceptional as the whole experience. An outstanding treat that we hope to enjoy again in the near future.

Vaga has outstanding ocean views and a calm, quiet ambience. My friend and I had brunch and the food was not great. I ordered the breakfast sandwich, which was terrible. The bacon was cold and burnt and the french fries were cold. My friend ordered the quinoa bowl which she enjoyed very much. The vegetables were perfectly cooked and the bowl was flavorful. The server was friendly and accommodating but a little slow. Overall, I would maybe return for Happy Hour for the view and appetizers, not for lunch.

Excellent place, staff super friendly and checking in was never a problem. Great views of the Pacific Ocean. Temperature was comfortable both inside and outside. I will definitely come back again!

Vaga restaurant and bar in Carlsbad, CA, exceeded all expectations and delivered an unforgettable dining experience that deserves nothing less than five stars. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a warm and welcoming atmosphere that set the tone for a delightful Breakfast. The location is amazing, and the ocean view on Tamarack Beach is beautiful. The best pastries I have ever had, I came here to celebrate my husband's birthday the manager and the staff were wonderful they offered us the pastries for free as a birthday present for my husband, the pastries were fresh and delicious. Hands down the best place, view, and service. Definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great breakfast, brunch, or date night with a great view.

I was expecting a different experience. Even with reservation we had to wait 20 minutes and remind the host that we were there. They simply forgot! Not the type of service I would expect of a luxury hotel restaurant. They have a long way to go to be what they claim to be.

Our dining experience at Vaga was a culinary delight from start to finish. The Vaga Parker House Rolls were a warm, fluffy indulgence, followed by the refreshing Embered Apple Salad. The highlight was undeniably the Striped Seabass Tacos—bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. While the additional fish and cocktails were a bit pricey, the impeccable service elevated our evening. The food was very good, and our servers were too. I’m not sure if just a one-off thing but the time for the apps and entrees to come out were very long, and the restaurant only seemed to be about half full

Went for a birthday celebration and wanted to try it out since no reviews from anyone we knew gave input we gave it a whirl. Good had interesting flavors. Chef does a great job of balancing different flavors together. Just wish the service was as upscale as the food. They need fountain drinks not canned drinks. Makes it cheap looking with upscale food. I'd only change the soda to fountain and service add more detail.

Can’t beat the view or the food! Fantastic setting looking out over the ocean paired with the best Bloody Mary ever and delicious crab cakes Benedict made for a very memorable brunch. Can’t wait to go back and introduce this to others!
