We loved this place when it was in it's old location. The food is still very good but it was quite spicy for all of us. I wish they would have told us we could have had less spicy versions of the entrees. We had 3 different people wait on us. We barely saw the person who we thought was our main waiter. He never checked in on us. Another guy was working the area and he seemed quite disturbed each time we had a question or asked for something. The woman who actually served the food was courteous and very helpful. I am still willing to give them another chance.

Food was good, service and timing were horrible. We had two entrees for three people; one entree came out (after a pretty long wait) and we were told the other (and our naan) would be out in 2 minutes, but in reality it was more like 40 minutes, and required 2 or 3 times of getting up from our table and going in search of our waiter. When the second entree arrived, we had to send the first back for reheating because it had grown cold. We got a 20% discount on our check but that did not make up for what was a very bad evening. I was especially disappointed because I’d previously had 2 great dining experiences at Urban Village and was excited to share this restaurant with my friends.

We came here for my birthday. The server was great; there was no bartender so no cocktails could be made. We ordered naan about 4 different times; asking them to spread naan through out the table, they only brought out 2 baskets. My nephew had chicken and there was still blood in it. Also, my “spicy” tikka chicken masala was SWEET. Not spicy at all. I have been to Indias kitchen and it’s so much better and way cheaper than this place. And WAY better food and spices. I don’t think we will be back.

One of the best Indian places in the area, and it is very quiet during the week for lunch. I love taking new friends there to share the awesomeness of this place.

Wine list poorly managed (4 out of 5 whites listed were not available on a paper menu, which could have been updated easily. the one white wine available was very good though , although again listed on the menu incorrectly as a Sauvignon Blanc when it was a 50/50 blend with Columbard. Interesting menu. Spices generally very good, although Chicken Tikka Masala had very large chunks of under done red and green bell pepper in it, but the flavor was good, if less creamy than most preps of this dish. The clay oven chicken tikka was very good and a nice sized portion. Over all better than most, but not quite up with the best in the Denver area for Indian cuisine.

The recommendations from the server were spot-on and the food incredibly delicious. Its the kind of food I will crave in the days to come. The cauliflower appetizer is truly unique, in my Indian food experience. This was worth the drive from Golden to meet an old friend for lunch. Overall it made our visit even better!

Poor service, we were one of two groups of people there and they kept bringing their appetizers to our table and vise versa. They couldn’t tell us which food was gluten free and they contradicted the GF labeling on the menu. Taste of food was sub par. They kept popping balloons they were trying to fill up for new years (they popped 5 while we were there). Will not be going back and wouldn’t recommend you go.

It is unquestionably the best Indian restaurant in the South Denver area. The food is always excellent, the service is the same. The same bartender and waiters have been there for quite a while. The kale appetizer is enough for four people and is a must order.

We were disappointed this time. They are missing the sweet, very efficient waitress that we’ve had several times in the past. Staff was unorganized, not attentive. Staff kept dropping things. We were told they were short on menus, yet there were only 4 customers there. The ambiance was missing this time. Received food before silverware. Sat us at the smallest table in the back because only two of us. Said they had lots of reservations for other tables yet it didn’t get busy for 90 mins! We had a reservation also but didn’t matter. We’ve always been seated near the front with a regular table with a nice candle. This was our Christmas Dinner celebration and even though the food is tasty, the service has gone way down. Because of the tiny table, we didn’t order all of our favorites because there wasn’t the space. Very disappointed!

We ate here with friends last night. Somehow, this place gets better and better and better every time. The food was absolutely amazing so flavorful. If you have not eaten here, this is a must-have experience.

The food at Urban Village Grill is excellent and that is why I go back. However, all times I have been, the service is awful The servers are friendly, so, it isn't about demeanor. The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. Forgotten orders, over zealous initial "checking in" by multiple servers to then be left alone for long periods of time, multiple servers asking for your order when it has already been taken and they don't seem to know that, main courses coming out with appetizers, appetizers coming out after main courses, and so on. It is comical how bad the service is for how long this place has been open. Again, the servers are warm and friendly; they just seem to have no clue about how to run an efficient and accurate service. If you eat here, have patience for the inevitable snafus, and just know the food makes it mostly worth it.

Third time at this restaurant. I was a little disappointed this time. I brought my son for a treat. The waiter recommended the weekend special, I cannot recall the name of the specific dish, although it was a huge portion of rice, mixed with chicken, and it was exceedingly hot to the point where I could hardly consume it. My son ordered the vegetarian version of what I ordered with paneer. His was also too hot to consume. my complaint is that the waiter did not inform us of this, and we had no idea that the item was spicy.. also we asked about some appetizers that I actually did not order but were brought to my table and I ended up paying $14 for them and they consisted of half of a hamburger bun with some deep-fried mashed potatoes on top. Also not very good this time.

The cocktails, naan and tandoori chicken were tasty. The tikka masala was different than I’ve ever had before - no tomato base, no heat and almost sweet which I didn’t care for. Overall it was expensive for what we got. It was very quiet inside and waitstaff was very slow. The bar tender was the highlight of the staff. It does feel like you’re in a mall. Likely won’t be back :(

All three of us loved the soup, appetizers, and dessert. We liked the main courses but thought they were a little on the sweet side. Excellent ambience and service. I'm happy to recommend Urban Village Grill.

We enjoyed the chef's tasting to the maximum! I cannot believe you can receive this variety of food and all of it be excellent. The service was great, the atmosphere quiet and the food delicious. I will definitely be returning!

The food was delicious and the owner was amazing. He was so thoughtful with our five year old son. He brought over some chip-like snacks for him so that he wouldn’t get antsy waiting for our food and also a small bowl of butter chicken (we’re guessing he realized what we ordered was going to be spicier than we had thought and helped us prevent a huge meltdown by offering another option). We were checked on all night and can’t wait to go back.

When I first found this place via google searches and pulled up the website, I was excited to taste a new take on a typical Indian cuisine. It bills itself as Indian fusion, but honestly every dish on the menu really didn’t have much of a twist from typical Indian faire. The ambiance was ok, but felt a little out of touch, additionally it is in the Park Meadows mall itself. I honestly thought it was a place not connected to the mall. Service seemed a bit discombobulated and we didn’t get a welcomed feeling when we sat down. After ordering we asked about spice levels of each dish, and the waitress advised us that there are no spice levels, or the chef does not add spice in the kitchen, which seemed a little bizarre. We ordered a butter chicken dish, a charred salmon coconut curry, and fried cauliflower. All dishes were decent, but I could have ordered better dishes at my go to Indian spot in Parker. There was a bit of spice in the food, but if you’re looking for spicy food, this is not the spot for you. Overall, I probably would no go back here, since it really didn’t have an impact on me.
