The waitress was amazing. Can’t recall her name but she was from Haiti. Cracking the lobster was very hard, wish they will at least partially crack it.

As has been the case each time we have visited, we enjoyed our meal very much. Our server(s) were attentive and fun. Our dining experience was further enhanced by the nearby parking garage and the parking validation provided by the restaurant that greatly lessened the sting of city parking fees. We will visit again.

We were visiting our son celebrating Mothers' Day at the Boston Opera House for some superb ballet- and this was dinner afterwards. On this beautiful spring day we were in mood to enjoy some old world ambiance. We ordered the broiled scrod and the pan seared chicken with a side of baked beans- a feast really, and very delicious. Our server was cheerful and gracious. We walked the cobbled streets to ride the Haymarket T for a total Boston experience- and with the blooming dogwood trees all over the city- it was urban immersive, and so memorable!

Excellent food.. and to our surprise that the oysters were so fresh and wanted more. Price could be a little cheaper but when we found out they were from Prince Edward Island.. WOW!! That’s a fair price.

Dinner and drink menus were excellent. The clam chowder soup and the lobster macaroni & cheese were great choices. The ambiance was fun & energetic, and service was outstanding. A highly recommended Boston eatery, especially, since it is the oldest restaurant in the country.

Very touristy spot. Food was OK, server was good, and was friendly. Our booth was very cramped and uncomfortable though, and the others around us looked the same. Not sure if other more comfortable seating was available for a party of 4 like ours. Was also a little pricey compared to other restaurants in town. Glad we experienced it, but it was probably a ‘once and done’ kind of place for us.

The history of this restaurant is why my daughter and I chose it to die at. America's oldest restaurant did NOT disappoint! The ambiance and history combined with excellent food and terrific service made the evening all the more special. It's a great place!

Our server, Justice, was absolutely the best! He provided great suggestions and made the entire evening enjoyable! The food was delicious and the portions very generous. One of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a long time!!

Always love stopping by the Union Oyster House. A true treasure, both gastronomic and historical! Only thing is we missed the cheesecake. Unfortunately it got taken off the menu.

This place is authentic Boston living history! The oyster bar was packed with good reason. The food is fresh and delicious. Corn bread could’ve been served warmer, but that’s such a small thing. Lobster was perfect and our server was professional and attentive. Go!

Was a cool old place with a lot of history. I thought that the oysters would be plentiful. Not so much actually 6 oysters were over 20 bucks. We went down the street and got oysters for a buck a piece after our meal

We have dined at the Union Oyster House for many years. This will be our last time. The establishment has declined drastically. At 4:30 on a Sunday it was virtually empty. We were seated and handed menus which quite honestly looked like they had been used as a child's diaper, just disgusting. We asked our server the price for a 1.25 lb lobster (listed as "market price") and she said $95.00... we asked her to repeat as that's impossible. Wholesale lobsters are selling for $14.00 this week. We opted for a mixed green salad and "Ye Old Seafood Platter". The salad was presented on a 8" oval plate BUT, low and behold, there was a 5" plate under the greens... very deceptive. When the seafood platter arrived, it was actually a french fry platter... probably a pound of fries with a little seafood scattered on top. while the food wasn't bad, it just wasn't there!! Sorry Oyster House, it's been a nice run.

Excited to return here but so disappointed. Lobster was tough and no taste. Wish we would have been warned about this. Crab cakes mostly bread. French fries served cold. Spent way too much money for this meal which was extremely disappointing.

It was awesome we were seated in the booth of our President John F Kennedy and everyone that walked by told us we were lucky. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and attentive. The food was excellent best lobster ravioli and chowder in Boston. Definitely a must visit.
