Average quality premium price. Toro wasn’t much different than the Akami. Wagyu was tough and chewy. Took a long time to get food, and the order of the dishes was all mixed up. Sat by the backdoor into the hotel and other patrons were hitting my chair all the time. 3 people $800. Better value at MANY other places.

Pricey? Yes. Worth it? 100% every dish was delicious, the service was fantastic and they made a special evening wonderful and comfortable. Definitely look forward to coming back with an even bigger appetite! Aside from the food the thing that stood out was they changed our table to a much more comfortable seating arrangement before I could even ask if the change could be arranged. We felt taken care of and I would order everything again and then some.

Superb food with service from our waiter that was like being back in Tokyo, where service and dining is the best there is anywhere. So looking forward to dining here again. Expensive. Yes? But worth it? Yes.

The quality and presentation of the food was excellent. Service was somewhat slow, with the waiter handling too many tables. The noise level was too high for a great restaurant. The price point was such that I am unlikely to return.

Food was good but the service was probably the worst I’ve seen in Boston. Our waiter was rude and it took a long time to place orders. They didn’t serve soy sauce with the sushi and it took a very long time to get some. It’s a shame because I live close by and the food was good, but will never be coming back here given how atrocious the serving was for the amount of money you spend.

Asked to move tables because we were too close to the people next to us (touching knees). It was made to seem like a very inconvenient request but they did it. After that no one came and served us for 30 min. Once I complained they came and let us know kitchen is closing so we have to order fast. Ordered the crab fried rice and it came covered in an unnecessary amount of herbs and greenery. We thought it was a salad. The “noodles” were awful. Ordered toro nigiri that never even showed up. All in all a huge disappointment and we’ll never be back. We will also warn everyone we know to stay away.

Service and ambience were delightful but the food servings were minuscule and very expensive for what they were. With the exception of the caviar which was fabulous simply because the serving wasn’t very small and the taste was amazing.

Uni was great, but on the pricier side. Nigiri was the star of the show; we tried 6 different fish, but the toro was my absolute favorite. It just MELTS. If you're going to try any sashimi it has to be the tuna tataki with foie gras *chefs kiss*. The wild turbot was also delicious. The fiddlehead tempura was the only thing we ordered that was underwhelming. Atmosphere is a cool, loungey vibe but it's a little difficult to find the bathroom (definitely ask the staff).
