Had a reservation for 7:00. Showed up, no one at the hostess stand. No one at the restaurant but one other table. Finally someone sat us. No water, no server 10 minutes. Placed a drink order, no drink 10 min. Left. Not sure what’s going on there but reviews are bogus.

El servicio y la terraza están muy bien. La comida es muy normal, he comido en muchos restaurantes japoneses más ricos y creativos. Los precios son disparatados, no lo vale! El precio del segundo vino blanco más barato es de 1.500 pesos ( más propina). Es un Casa Madero 2V por el que me pedían en un excelente restaurante japonés de La Roma en CDMX, 800 pesos la semana pasada. No tiene sentido que el mismo vino cueste aquí, casi el doble. Lo siento, no lo recomiendo, no vale lo que cuesta

Excellent edamames, sushi rice was a bit soggy. Service was average considering the waiter only addressed to my husband and only asked him: how is everything sir? It seemed as though I was not there…please work on this.

I should have read the various reviews of this restaurant. Drinks were weak and flavorless. Food was a little better, but definitely not worth the price attached to them. Service was ok until we were made to feel awkward about leaving tip on the card. I would not recommend. There are so many better restaurants in PDC.

Great view, excellent food, very good service. Music was a bit loud. Drinks were a little weak. Would still recommend. Overall very good.

We walked up to the restaurant and had to wait 15 minutes for the hostess to find are reservation, when we finally got in we saw a empty restaurant wondering why they were making a big stink about our reservation. When we sat down we waited 15 minutes without even being greeted or given anything, we finally walked out. STAY AWAY WASTE OF TIME

AVOID THIS PLACE.terrible, overpriced food and lackluster service. $85 for a bunch of crap. The best part was the SALAD garnish with the srhimp appetizer!!!! The Wagyu gyoza has NO meat inside. The cheese blocks were too large and not properly cooked. Almost cold. The sushi was terrible. The spider maki was 4 pieces and there was no crab discernible. Apparently this place has been 3 other restaurants in this venue in a short amount of time. We were the only people in the entire restaurant and that should have been a clue. The service was so bad that they ran my Amex on their Visa machine and then had to issue a credit and re-run it through the Amex machine. It is amateur hour here. Save yourself the headache and painful sticker shock and go elsewhere.

Fui a cenar antes y es excelente el lugar, la comida y la experiencia. Mi mala reseña es porque me permitieron hacer una reserva para una noche que el restaurant estaba cerrado. Llegamos a la puerta y nos informaron ahí mismo que el restaurant esa noche tenía un evento privado y estaba cerrado. Fui a festejar mi cumpleaños y a las 9pm me tuve que poner a buscar un lugar que no estuviera ya lleno de gente. Lo único que digo es que podrían haberme avisado antes o deberían haber sacado esa noche como opción de Open Table.

Disappointing. Miniature portions served with the worst lack of enthusiasm I’ve experienced in a “trendy” restaurant. I got the “flame” sushi roll, and only 5 mins after I asked if I had ordered the correct roll, did the waiter “flame” the half sushi roll that was left at the table. He asked for the tip to be in cash because the “system” wouldn’t allow them to put it on a card. When we said we didn’t have cash, he of course was able to suddenly put it in the card. We felt lied to, ripped off, and that we were inconveniencing the staff. We said thanks, tipped 20% as always, but will never be coming back. I cannot believe this is associated with Hyatt.

Horrible overpriced food, mediocre drinks and terrible service. Waited more than an hour for sushi and when it came it looked so bad the waiter wouldn’t even serve it to us because he was so embarrassed of how it looked.

Good experience for the third time and a different restaurant each time we’ve gone there. I hope they can become a solid single restaurant and not keep changing it up. We would go back again.

The service here was really great. Francisco, our waiter, went out of his way to make sure we had a special night. Everyone there was incredibly professional. The view from the rooftop is great. There was a DJ playing (which didn’t really fit the vibe) and the food was ok. The flavor of my udon noodles was amazing but the noodles were over cooked. The sushi was meh. The rolls were ordinary/ basic. Nothing to write home about. I got one drink and it was good. A lot of places have watered down drinks but this was not the case. I could taste the alcohol. So that was nice. I would go back even though I didn’t love the food, just for the overall ambience and service. Thank you Francisco!

we had an incredible time at unit. The ambience and views were incredible. Dj playing cool chill music. nice breeze. Definitely nicest restaurant in playa del Carmen. Incredible sushi and Nigiri, as well as craft cocktails. servers were excellent.

Came here to dinner with my bachelor party. It was the best meal that we had all weekend. Perfect setting for a rooftop restaurant. Service was excellent. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Wonderful restaurant with outstanding food and service. A little difficult to find on Apple Maps but if you make your way to the Thompson Playa Hotel that makes it easier to find. Highly recommend. You will not be disappointed.

Summary: avoid. We went for dinner and it was one of the worst experiences we've had in a long time. The cocktails were ok but ungenerous. The gyoza were machine made and boring. The oysters were at room temperature and low quality. We did not eat them. We then had the tiradito de kampachi which was machine sliced pieces of room temperature bland fish served with a ridiculous jalapeno sauce probably intended to hide the fish taste. Then we had a sad ribeye with a miso-dijon bland watery sauce. 2 expressos and a bottle of water. All that for 2700mxn. A total ripoff. I would say go for a drink but then the DJs were as corny as they were terrible so I'd say just stay home with a beer and watch TV you'll have a better experience.

Overall the seafood and rolls were fantastic. The mashed potatoes were left uneaten as they just weren’t that tasty. Otherwise the meal was superb. The live band music from the lounge area fought with the house music in the restaurant. Although both were nice to listen too just maybe not at the same time. We would absolutely return. Possibly the best food coupled with the best view in PDC.
